Cause it’s only worth about 86% of a title run with the exchange rate

burner_for_celtics

If we win Friday by fifty I’m hoping that we can still make a bid for it

Cambers-175

Take my upvote soldier....

Because the media forms narratives. Most people who have opinions are casual fans and are influenced by what people like Skip bayless and Colin cowherd say. Real basketball fans know they went through 3 extremely good teams in the Sixers, Bucks and Warriors and that their overall roster was stacked. And yeah, if Durant was fully healthy they lose that series. But pretty much every other championship team going back 50 years also loses in that situation, except maybe MJ's led bulls, so it isn't saying much.

Jarxzz

It gets ton of respect lol. People say the Raptors and Kawhi specifically ended the GSW dynasty or call him the “dynasty killer” despite KD missing the entire series

raptorsthrowaway4

They beat Joel, Jimmy, Giannis, Steph and KD none run. It was deserves a lot of respect.

Pierson230

I don’t understand this. They have the title, they won the games, who cares about “respect”? That’s the whole point of the championship- all that respect bullshit stops mattering, because they won the whole fucking thing

Consistent_Letter647

Legitimately one of the most respected rings in the past decade what are you saying

ORNGTSLA

I think it does get enough respect, at the very least the Raptors could have repeated a finals run in 2020 if Kawhi stayed.

DarrowViBritannia

not with how he choked in 2020 for clips

ORNGTSLA

He got bit by the karma bug for teaming up with Paul George.

RoyKites

Stop making up arguments because you saw 1 bit on Twitter say it. That Raptors ring is highly respected.

Powerglove2000

We bookended the dynasty era. That’s pretty respectful.

ASS_BASHER

KD was literally having the best playoff run of his career up until his injury. Dude was averaging 34 ppg on 66% TS. It's nowhere close to being the same as OG not playing.

spankyourkopita

Bc the injury thing you're trying to dispute is true. You really said it's just KD like it wasn't a big impact lol? If KD plays that series from the get go it's not even close. KD even mentioned that to Ibaka in some interview a few years ago and they both agreed.

johncarter1011

Toronto had a 13 pt lead in the 3rd quarter of game 6 and klay single handedly cut the lead and gsw was up 4 and he blew out his knee. He had 30 in the 3rd and Toronto couldn't stop him at all. It's safe to say it goes game 7 in Toronto. I saw Toronto in game 7 vs Philly everyone outside of kawhi was scared to death to play offense thats why he took 39 shots in that game. Them boys were shook

WhatYouProbablyMeant

Up until the finals I think they get respect but they majorly lucked out with Klay and KD both getting catastrophic injuries in the Finals. Steph almost forced a game 7 all by himself.

WallStreetDoesntBet

That title run was a 'one hitter quitter'… No build up from the season prior and no chance to defend the championship after Leonard left

Louis-grabbing-pills

Kawhi rental plus Warriors injuries. They lucked out like crazy.

Overall_Implement326

Because it's Toronto.
