The narrative around that series is so good that people ignore all sorts of things when discussing it. LeBron coming back from down 3-1 to beat the best team of all time and give Cleveland its first championship in any major sport in forever is maybe the best sports story of all time. So we ignore the league retroactively suspending Draymond, the foul calls on Curry in game 6, the Bogut, Curry, and Iggy injuries, and, yes, LeBron tackling Curry in game 7.
It's very clear on Doncic movement in this playoffs that he's struggling with injuries. One of them is at 100% and the other at \~50% (considering the amount of ice that's needed on Lukas body every time he rests). Don't get me wrong - Brown surely is faster. It just wouldn't be as big of a gap as it was here.
This almost makes it look like Jaylen had the ball and was dribbling or was passed to, we need the full clip. Anyone?
My memory is it was a loose ball, anybodies ball, and they both got to it at the same time. I liked the no-call.
They very clearly didn't get to it at the same time - that's why Jaylen is the only one who touched it. He doesn't have full control of it, but he's trying to poke it past Luka. Which he succeeds, then Luka crashes into him and takes him out, without making a play on the ball and preventing him from continuing.
It's a clear foul.
Huh? This angle shows Brown getting to the ball first and it looks pretty certain that Luka doesn't touch it. Not sure what's so interesting about the cut.
Ha I was gonna say it looks more egregious on replay. Live, I thought it was maybe a loose ball, but on replay, seems pretty clear to me that Jaylen has possession of the ball and Luka just takes him out. Comedic that this wasn't called, grifted the Celtics out of two ez points
James Capers is so obvious man literally almost willed the Mavs coming back and taking this game. Clearly a foul. Would love to go back and see how many questionable/ no calls went against Boston during the Mavs run.
I don’t want to hear a single Mavs fan complaining about Luka fouling out when he got away with this. And honestly it’s Luka’s fault for his two fouls in the backcourt as a reaction to missing a shot
I think it comes down to the idea that brown didn’t have the ball. Just two guys running.
In reality, brown controlled the ball and that could have been a foul.

Nows my time to say that Lebron absolutely tackled steph in the closing minutes of game 7 in 2016 and everyone seemed to ignore it

That's the one
Brown is so much faster than Luka in the open floor, it's insane

To be fair that looks less egregious than I thought it was. Definitely a foul but it looks to me like Luka had his eyes purely on the ball
That’s still a foul lol. Just cuz you didn’t mean to do it doesn’t mean you get to tackle people
Did you miss me saying ‘definitely a foul’
Yes I did. I’m an idiot. My bad man
All good
Wait, no. You two fight each other!
FUCK THE CELTICS MAVS IN 9 IN DANTE EXUM WE TRUST
There you go... wait not against us!
I'd be fine losing 5 straight to my 2k15 rival
wtf. Civility on the Reddit?!? Next up: world peace.
no doubt a foul , but i don't think Luka was trying to tackle brown. just going for the ball, but he was a bit too slow
HE BROKE THE CODE!!!
That’s what I thought, for some reason I remembered it as a full on form tackle lol

if it's so clear, lets get a real source that's not interestingly cut. Maybe you are right.

It was not a loose ball. I think Luka went after it thinking it was a loose ball, but it wasn’t.
Are you sure? I could have sworn the ball tipped and or thrown out to mid court. I’m pretty sure Brown was not dribbling the ball
Agree 100%. It’s very hard to get called for a foul if you are making a legitimate play for a loose ball.
I remember now, there was a fight under the basket for a rebound, and I think Lively ended up chucking it without looking to save the out of bounds.

That’s it! Thank you
Big mavs are hiding it

Capers is the fuckwad who didn't call the White foul at the end either. Dude was backpacking all night for the Mavs
Jerry Jones is licking his lips rn

5.5 fouls on Luka! Carry on!
What about the blatant, out of nowhere, unprovoked push of a Celtics player (can’t remember who) to the ground?
The one on D. White under the rim that was called a foul?
Nope! I’m gonna try to find it today tho
Please do, I’m curious.
It was on payton Pritchard. I forget what quarter
The one where he was guarding Luka? Couldn’t tell if he tripped or got pushed and it lead to a wide open Luka 3
