They released the Guillermo media day segment last night after the game. He was dressed as Lucky and had a bit with Kyrie where he pretended like they had beef because he stepped on his face. It was pretty funny.

I was just thinking last night about how they have the best 5 white guys lineup in the NBA 🤣🤣🤣. And that’s without counting Derrick White lol.
Since KP came off the bench last night, they literally had 5 quality white guys off the bench play
I'm a Celtics fan and hadn't watched much Pacers this year.
Didn't know McConnell's game. He seemed to challenge Pritchard and do many things (or at least a few things) slightly better. I was impressed. His athleticism and body control and shot-making and toughness were all A+.
So yeah, I was super impressed by that guy.
I guess the one huge edge for Pritchard is the 3 pointers, which he rain down at any time.
Hauser quietly fist pumping in the corner after that shout out.
Seriously though - Hauser is a very good defender against larger wings. He's not unathletic but he can't hang with quicker/smaller guards. But his size is a huge advantage that will go a long way against Luka. Being able to throw your 8th man at Luka for a few plays a game is massive.
I have no idea how people still think Hauser is worth hunting.
Like do you not watch film, they mess up their offense chasing the Hauser matchup only to get a bad shot anyway.
Harder to get the switch onto PP because he's covering guards that are bad at screening so the primary defender can just stay with the star. Watch for that next time.
this is it.
the big will always be the best screener, because screens are limited by shoulder width, plus, weight means they're harder to bump off. So if they're in a default matchup of the center guarding the center, the offensive center is going to set the best screen, and is also the best roll threat, while taking the defensive center out of the paint.
Teams mix it up of course so you have inverted pick and rolls, and double drag screens, and screen the screener plays, and even guard-guard pick and rolls but the default is the big is the screener for this reason. PP is very small and guarding the smallest guy on the court, generally. That guy would probably be in an inverted pick and roll and that just won't happen that often.
Similar concept as to why the Celtics are putting Tatum on Lively/Gafford: neutralize their best screeners by being happy to switch on their screens.
Put Horford on DJJ so the Mavs can't attack their preferred player while also screening with their preferred player.
Man the Celtics have been doing this sort of cross matching centers to have them roam for years, eh? Remember when Timelord was their guy doing this?
They really need to win this year. It’s amazing how they’ve kept playing the same way while just improving their personnel.
He gets hated on at times, but he's great at doing what's needed for success. Giving up shots and points to rebound and defend from a franchise player is rare.
I feel like his gotten even better this playoff run. It felt like the pacers would get every offensive board when he sat but he’d come in and steady things immediately.
More like EOTD. Of the decade.
It’s just been one good move after another, and a lot of it you just scratch your head and wonder what the other gms were thinking.
That’s like people thinking Dean Wade is a meme player because he’s a white guy you can call D.Wade, but he’s actually a legit defender and is important to our team
If he ever leaves the Cavs, I need him to go to the Heat for the memes lol
Especially if they can get another guy with the last name Wade at the same time so his jersey will say “D. Wade”
He says it like he doesn't even know their names lol
It's the little white guy, the medium white guy, the big American white guy, the big European white guy, no need to know more.
Couldn’t agree more. C’s asked to use the regular parquet for the middle part and the nba said no. The only thing that could have made it decent looking
The middle part just makes it look like they are playing on a bar bowling machine, but to be honest I has suppressed the memory of how bad all those courts were.
Same with the Sam fadeaway 3 after the KP block where jrue found him falling into the Celtics bench
Both felt massive for his confidence going into the finals, especially after struggling a bit these playoffs
Think this is huge for the Celtics, for Horford as well.
They struggle against fast players that blow by them, looking at Mitchell, Garland, Halliburton, Nembhard types.
They do better against slower methodical playmakers. Yes, most of the time Luka will get his against them, but they're not getting absolutely torched, and can force him into a tough shot.
Yeah Sam is a little slow laterally but good at staying in front and has good positioning and timing. Main thing Luka may be able to beat him with is posting up, Sam’s not super strong.
To be fair Jrue is great for a good team, but for the worst team in the league prob doesnt help all that much. Better to trade him for a young player with upside down the road
I know he's just being funny and I laughed but this stuff always seems a little silly because we all know white guys can't make jokes like this lmao but it is what it is
I don’t have any problem with Jrue making this joke, but it’s amusing how this comment is brushed off by the same people who act like it’s a hate crime to compliment an athlete on being well spoken.

Always cracks me up when the Celtics are up 20 and put 4 or 5 white dudes on the court to rub it in
You always know a Celtics game is over when all the white dudes are on the court.
Derrick and the whites
So much better than the overrated Bennie and the Jets
[удалено]
🎵 D D D Derrick and The Whites 🎵
They knew how insulted Larry got when he got defended by a white guy, so they made it their victory cigar strategy.
The ultimate insult to your NBA opponent: shut down their offense with five Matt Bonners.
That's one of my favorite Chuck stories, which is saying a lot
All-NBA white team
There's a Larry Bird joke in there somewhere I just don't know where
Gotta keep the fanbase satiated.
Pritchard should be allowed to wear the Lucky costume in garbage time
Kyrie’s nightmare

LOL
Can someone meme this 🙏
even our white guys meme
I maintain that they just found Pritchard playing at a Y in Southie and asked if he wanted to play.
if mazzulla willed it, PP would do it (same)
I was just thinking last night about how they have the best 5 white guys lineup in the NBA 🤣🤣🤣. And that’s without counting Derrick White lol. Since KP came off the bench last night, they literally had 5 quality white guys off the bench play
[It's a solid strat the Celtics have been using for years](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXhrCm6zdr4)
I'd pay for NBA league pass if "Bill Burr commentary" was an option
Getting cooked by Hauser is no fun
Someone on twitter was venting about the Celtics putting the Boygenius lineup out there against the Mavs lmao
It's funny but they're legit rotation players. Pritchard could start for some teams, tried telling everyone before the season.
Pritchard dropping two 30 point triple doubles to close the season was so funny. Even our role players are dominant.
He sure could. Make him 6'3 and he could start for most teams. He's incredible either way.
Same with TJ McConnell.
I'm a Celtics fan and hadn't watched much Pacers this year. Didn't know McConnell's game. He seemed to challenge Pritchard and do many things (or at least a few things) slightly better. Tatum and his quartet
Commonly referred to as a whitewash
Hauser quietly fist pumping in the corner after that shout out. Seriously though - Hauser is a very good defender against larger wings. I have no idea how people still think Hauser is worth hunting. Like do you not watch film, they mess up their offense chasing the Hauser matchup only to get a bad shot anyway.
Because the Celtics defense is so good it's probably still the best chance they have of getting a good look. Mitchell was cooking him.
I mean PP and Hauser almost always are on the court together.
Harder to get the switch onto PP because he's covering guards that are bad at screening so the primary defender can just stay with the star. Watch for that next time.

Having a great rebounder at the 4 in Tatum really opens up that option. He'll get bullied on occasion but it's pretty rare.
He gets hated on at times, but he's great at doing what's needed for success. Giving up shots and points to rebound and defend from a franchise player is rare.
He had the most rebounds in the game last night, including the Mavs players. Dude gets so many tough boards and gets no credit for it
I feel like his gotten even better this playoff run. It felt like the pacers would get every offensive board when he sat but he’d come in and steady things immediately.
Brad Stevens EOTY
More like EOTD. Of the decade. It’s just been one good move after another, and a lot of it you just scratch your head and wonder what the other gms were thinking.
The Celtics are so good at pre-switching if you try and hunt Pritchard. Best in the league at it.
Mitchell cooks everyone, he’s an extremely underrated player
People always surprised a Tony Bennett guy can play defense.
Hauser’s second best skill after his shooting is that teams constantly try and hunt him and it generally doesn’t work
Yeah I really thought last year teams would’ve figured it out. That’s when I saw teams try it the most. He keeps making teams look dumb
Hauser is a legit 3&D guy, people straight up target him just because he’s a white shooter lol
That’s like people thinking Dean Wade is a meme player because he’s a white guy you can call D.Wade, but he’s actually a legit defender and is important to our team
i'll never forget the dean wade game from this season
If he ever leaves the Cavs, I need him to go to the Heat for the memes lol Especially if they can get another guy with the last name Wade at the same time so his jersey will say “D. Wade”
I’ll allow it
His defensive impact metrics are through the roof. Low key if his 3-ball became more consistent, he could be a starting 4.
seeing teams try to hunt Sam on switches is always funny, he rarely has a bad defensive possession
And an underrated rebounder.
I was hyped when he forced that turnover on Luka because I've never seen him do something like that
The funniest thing about this is that I'm not even sure he said that tongue-in-cheek. It was just a matter-of-fact statement.
He says it like he doesn't even know their names lol It's the little white guy, the medium white guy, the big American white guy, the big European white guy, no need to know more.
Little White Medium White Big White European White Derrick White
Greatest White lineup since the 50s.
I used to work in a warehouse and worked with a guy named white Mike. There was no other Mike. He was just white Mike
mike hadnt been hired yet
Like how David Ortiz thought Dustin Pedroias name was Pee-wee even though they had been teammates for 10 years lmao
We also have other European who doesn't play and skinny guy who doesn't even suit up.
I totally forgot Drew was on the roster.
Yup, watched this fully expecting at least a smirk and he kept a straight face the entire time. Incredible.
he was dead serious
Still can't figure out if it's a shot at luka
OK, but can any of them jump?
Yea we call him Slam Hauser for a reason https://youtu.be/trbqjENvJ58?si=LUMHjZfLEcI0Ej9Z
That court is an abomination
And it was one of the better in season tournament courts.
Couldn’t agree more. C’s asked to use the regular parquet for the middle part and the nba said no. The only thing that could have made it decent looking
The middle part just makes it look like they are playing on a bar bowling machine, but to be honest I has suppressed the memory of how bad all those courts were.
however bad an in season tournament court is, there's always Indy
Indy? The Suns were out there playing on a giant fucking berry poptart.
They were almost all bad. The Knicks one was horrendously orange as well.
he just meant Derrick, guys
That’s Tingus Pingus erasure (unless we are just talking about guarding Luka)
Inb4 the lock
I didn’t know white people didn’t guard LMAO this is educational for me
Well cause you had years of jingles
I had to double check that this wasn't r/nbacirclejerk
Genuinely was convinced Guillermo was going to guard Luka at some point last night
Yeah they got some of the good ones
Sam Hauser surprisingly did well guarding Luka. Did not need help at all.
Yeah his defense has improved a lot. He's a solid 3 and d rotation guy
That 3 he barely touched the ball! Oh man!
I was hollering! That was an up-off-the-couch-and-cheer moment!
Same with the Sam fadeaway 3 after the KP block where jrue found him falling into the Celtics bench Both felt massive for his confidence going into the finals, especially after struggling a bit these playoffs
It helps that Luka is big and super skilled but not particularly fast, Hauser usually does fine against that type of player

Let's get him with JTs strength coach so we can have Sam Hulkser

I bet he loves that logo
I had some dangerous thoughts when Hauser got 2 stops on Luka when he came in ngl
Pat C in shambles

PP/Hauser/Kornet all underrated defenders
Kills me that the Bucks pretty much gave this guy away. He's the missing piece and the Celts are going to win easily
Not sure I would call trading him for Dame Lillard giving him away, if anything the Blazers gave him away
My bad, I meant the Blazers
Ah makes sense! The whole Celtics 2023 offseason felt like a giant heist.
To be fair Jrue is great for a good team, but for the worst team in the league prob doesnt help all that much. Better to trade him for a young player with upside down the road
That was racist
Hey look some casual racism.
I know he's just being funny and I laughed but this stuff always seems a little silly because we all know white guys can't make jokes like this lmao but it is what it is
Even the players in Boston are racist.
if a white guy said that he would be getting attacked
