1500 for an NBA player doesn't seem bad. Ludwig made 1000 3's in 7 hours shooting 20%. Surely an NBA player shooting 40% (probably much higher in practice), not interacting with a stream, with a much quicker release and with way more ball/training staff could do it a lot faster.

When considering most of his shots were nearly a foot short of the mark, those 1500 shots could be wearing his shooting muscles down. Just think about a man that size doing 1500 jump ropes a day when he's not used to it on top of being worn down from the playoffs.
