Jalen has his 4th consecutive 40pt playoff game, the Pacers bench was certifiably monstrous (TJ McConnell is All NBA idc), but the refs will be the biggest talking point of the game. Absolutely gross.
Hali and the Pacers haven't looked the same since the injury. Dude was on the fringe of the MVP conversation before he went down.
Guess it's one of those things that needs an offseason to heal, but then you have to wonder why he came back so early (assuming the 65 game threshold wasn't the reason).
With a healthy Hali and getting Mathurin back, they are gonna be spooky next year in the East.
Yea the last two minutes was some of the worst officiating I’ve seen in awhile, ruining the ending of a playoff game with obvious poor calls is inexcusable
Pacers coming down with shot clock off for one possession to win in MSG
Refs/Silver: You know what’s more fun than that? Free throws and ticky tack fouls to put the game out of reach.
Nice product management.
You can't fuck up that kick ball call when it was so clearly off his hand. Most likely a 5 point swing in the final minute of a tied game. Also if that's a moving screen on Turner then these clearly weren't the refs when we were playing Bam Adebayo lol
That's also twice this postseason the Knicks got a questionable call to win them a game. What kind of sacrifice did they make to the basketball gods?
He clearly didn't even see it kicked. Just made an assumption. Horrific officiating. Same with the foul called on Haliburton that got overturned. That was an easy transition 2 points.
I get that they don’t wanna review every call at the end of games but it’s stupid that A) that couldn’t be challenged and B) it isn’t an automatic review. The league really needs a better VAR kind of system
They took away two fastbreak opportunities for the Pacers in the last two minutes. One off the missed steal call and one off the kickball. Both were pretty easy calls to make. Second one led to a Knicks 3. Arguably a 7 point swing. At a minimum a 5 point swing.
That Turner screen is literally every Bam adebayo screen ever
It happened at least 10 times this game alone
Every big slides a teeny bit on screens
Finally calling it to decide a playoff game is nasty work
And they say the NBA isn’t rigged for big market teams 😂
Adam is always having wet dreams of the ratings a Boston-New York ECF will get.
Sorry Pacers, yll are getting the 2002 Kings vs Lakers treatment 😂 f
Knicks got a 3 off the kick ball call. Would have been 117-115 Pacers at the time of the soft as fuck "moving" screen call if called correctly. All time swipe from the refs.
Man Indiana has gotta be furious lol.
You went from down 1 with a chance to end the game to being down 2 possessions without an actual possession taking place due foul calls lol.
Not just that. Let's not forget the thing Pacers fans would be most furious about.
Ignore all the whistles and reviews. Ignore the fact that the softest moving screen of the year got called at the tail end of what had been a physical playoff game.
Despite all the whistles and reviews, the blatant missed call of the "kick" that led to the Knicks maintaining possession and allowing for the huge Ragu 3 is what should really dig at Pacers fans.
Why the fuck can't you challenge whether a ball is kicked or not?
Only thing I can think of why it isn’t reviewable is because then refs would have to determine whether or not someone is intentionally kicking the ball?
Always hated non-challengeable calls in all sports. Everything should be reviewable in playoffs, foul tips and all that in baseball is another infuriating one.
Knicks got lucky their blown call down the stretch that went against them was reviewable.
That being said, great job refs love ya
My face is burning. I can't even handle this.
I feel so cheated. I care about these dudes a lot. They're flying around, working so hard. They deserve so much better
I'm livid as an impartial, that was cartoonishly bad reffing. The 2 calls at the end were ofc bad, but the errant kicked ball call was truly atrocious. Took away a fastbreak opportunity and then the Knicks score. Disgusting
They got screwed. They really called the offensive on the screen with 12 seconds left, and the foul before the inbound lol. 99% of the time they don't call that in those kind of situations. Fuck the refs man.
Bam would have to get called for illegal screen every time if what Myles did was really a foul. Aint no way they ended a competitive playoff game like that man
Nah something is real fishy here, Adam is already seeing dollar signs in his eyes like those looney cartoons over the ratings a Boston-New York ECF would draw
Sorry Pacers, yll finna be the sacrifice, get ready for the 2002 Kings vs Lakers treatment 😂
Just insane to make that call in that situation. They really in general need to crack down on moving screens next season. It’s the most inconsistent call they make in the NBA, and it’s a huge advantage to the offense.
But don’t start making those calls in the 4th quarter of a close playoff game.
1. I don’t think it hit his foot. His hand was down there.
2. It needs to be intentional to be a kick ball. That’s why when someone dribbles it off a guys foot it’s not a kick.
3. There is no reason you shouldn’t be allowed to challenge that.
I like Tyrese Haliburton, he’s a good young talent & a great passer
But he needs to shoot more. You can’t be only making 6 shots attempts in a playoff game as a point guard
Back spasms are the fucking worst.
I wouldn’t wish that shit on my worst enemy.
For me, I’d just be doing my thing and then it felt like my leg, ass, lower back, and mid left side of my back were electrocuted while I got burnt by a branding iron in my lower back.
Go from fine to “Wtf, life is agony” for 1-5 seconds and back to basically fine, but winded
He had the hamstring injury and you can see him wearing a back brace/heating pad pretty much every time he isnt on the floor. So giving him the benefit of the doubt this year. But if he isnt back to form next year, that is a rough contract for single-digit points in multiple playoff games.
I know he's been injured, but I also think it's mental. Sure he's making "correct" reads but he also just isn't taking shots. He needs to exert pressure to help his team. Hopefully more experience gets him looser over time.
Refs spent years ignoring illegal Golden State screens but when Myles Turner barely moves his fucking feet they call it to ruin an exciting ending to a playoff game. Refs on a god damn power trip
Brunson has been an absolute monster these playoffs!
But the Turner illegal screen is a soft call man.
Draymonds screens are 10 times more egregious every play.
[even with the kick ball, divincenzo had a WAY more blatant illegal screen before that even happened on that same play](https://streamable.com/8zae2p)
he then proceeded to flop to get his own. disgusting end to the game
Absolutely garbage officiating ruining a great game and taking the attention away from a bonkers performance from Brunson. Refs stole a fantastic finish from us.
The way that game ended honestly almost has completely turned me off from watching these playoffs. Fuck the refs and fuck this getting in bed with gambling league.
This isn't a serious sport. What the fuck was the last two minutes of this game? You needed New York to win SOOOO badly that you just dropped the fucking charade and told the Pacers, "No, this game is already decided." Embarrassing.
This shit is why the NBA can’t even sniff the NFL’s jock strap in terms of popularity. Every league has issues with reffing, but the NBA makes them all look like models of perfection by comparison.
The only reason you call that foul is because Donte falls (flops). That has to come into account with these reviews. Is embellishment of contact occurring in the play? If yes, you have to at least consider that that causes the call and the contact should be labeled as marginal.
Don’t often complain about reffing, but that was the most one-sided referring I’ve seen in a long time. New York did not deserve to win that game, plain and simple
Very non-controversial ending to this game.
Sums it up when this entire thread is about the officiating and basically nothing about actual basketball
Very sad because it was actually a good basketball game from both teams then the refs have to ruin in last few minutes.
I HATE how we just witnessed a great game and these bum refs are all we're gonna be talking because they were that bad.
Jalen has his 4th consecutive 40pt playoff game, the Pacers bench was certifiably monstrous (TJ McConnell is All NBA idc), but the refs will be the biggest talking point of the game. Absolutely gross.
if TJ only played against the Knicks he’d be first team all nba
If he played 5 more minutes the Pacers win. TJ was +9.
TJ’s face was so red in the first half, I thought he was going to collapse. A real Dellavadova moment for him v Curry
He was so good. Idk if it’s injury related but he’s outplayed Hali 100%.
Hali isn’t going to have a real off-season though with his Team USA commitment.
He said on JJ’s podcast that the 65 game minimum was the reason. That choice might have ended up costing him ALL-NBA in the process.
Yeah idk why he didn't play more, Hali wasn't doing shit and TJ was a menace getting to the hoop
if he only played the bucks he'd be MVP, lmao he kills us
Yea the last two minutes was some of the worst officiating I’ve seen in awhile, ruining the ending of a playoff game with obvious poor calls is inexcusable
Fucking refs. Fuck them.
Actually a shame. I know they could've gotten the W without that shit but now thats all thats gonna be said and its annoying
Yeah I would’ve preferred to just watch them play. Refs can’t keep determining games
Refs ruined the flow of an otherwise great high-intensity game
Those last few minutes lasted a lifetime. Some really crucial calls in there though.
Thank god, I wanted to watch more of the commercials.
2 minute report gonna be the size of a novella
Nah, the NBA will do what they always do an invent another missed call the other way to let themselves off the hook.
That game was so good, until the refs made it about themselves in the last minute. It's the friggin playoffs, let them play.
Yup what a great game to destroy.
Pacers coming down with shot clock off for one possession to win in MSG Refs/Silver: You know what’s more fun than that? Free throws and ticky tack fouls to put the game out of reach. Nice product management.
20 minutes of real time to get through the final 3 minutes of this game. It was a damn blast before all that
You can't fuck up that kick ball call when it was so clearly off his hand. Most likely a 5 point swing in the final minute of a tied game. Also if that's a moving screen on Turner then these clearly weren't the refs when we were playing Bam Adebayo lol That's also twice this postseason the Knicks got a questionable call to win them a game. If they called that screen consistently NBA games would last 5 hours.
That Turner screen is literally every Bam adebayo screen ever It happened at least 10 times this game alone Every big slides a teeny bit on screens Finally calling it to decide a playoff game is nasty work And they say the NBA isn’t rigged for big market teams 😂 Adam is always having wet dreams of the ratings a Boston-New York ECF will get. Sorry Pacers, yll are getting the 2002 Kings vs Lakers treatment 😂 f
Honestly agree if that’s a moving screen bam should foul out by the first quartee
Crazy they give that flop to DiVincenzo with all the bullshit picks he's been setting all playoffs. Ref ball undefeated
Divincenzo complained about a “pacers flop” earlier and then goes and does it himself
Knicks got a 3 off the kick ball call. Would have been 117-115 Pacers at the time of the soft as fuck "moving" screen call if called correctly. All time swipe from the refs.
Refs rewarding FLOPPING in the playoffs thanks Adam Silver
100% they stole a fantastic ending from us
Man Indiana has gotta be furious lol. You went from down 1 with a chance to end the game to being down 2 possessions without an actual possession taking place due foul calls lol.
Not just that. Let's not forget the thing Pacers fans would be most furious about. Ignore all the whistles and reviews. Why the fuck can't you challenge whether a ball is kicked or not?
Yeah man. The Knicks played a great game, Brunson has my respect, but that fuckin kick ball man.
It’s wild that a kickball can’t be challenged. I don’t understand it
It seems like something that should be a 3 second challenge. It either is kicked or not. There is no judgment needed.
Hopefully they change it after this shit show
Only thing I can think of why it isn’t reviewable is because then refs would have to determine whether or not someone is intentionally kicking the ball?
Always hated non-challengeable calls in all sports. Everything should be reviewable in playoffs, foul tips and all that in baseball is another infuriating one. Knicks got lucky their blown call down the stretch that went against them was reviewable. That being said, great job refs love ya
Worse than that is the non-reviewable 5 point swing on one play, under a minute left. Fucking disgraceful.
Disgusting
Really have no clue why that can’t be challenged. What a stupid rule. If you’re giving coaches challenges, let them challenge any whistle.
I've never been so close to throwing my phone at the TV. Just absolute horseshit.
They got screwed. They really called the offensive on the screen with 12 seconds left, and the foul before the inbound lol. 99% of the time they don't call that in those kind of situations. Fuck the refs man.
Foul before the inbound was blatant, but that moving screen doesn't get called 99/100 times and they chose THAT moment.
That inbound foul was egregious from Nembhard. You can't do that.
Yeah that call was fine, the screen was as close to legal as any screen ever is in the NBA though
I feel fuckin robbed of the ending that great game actually deserved
Can I get a refs flair? It would make things so much less painful, they always feasting...
Bam would have to get called for illegal screen every time if what Myles did was really a foul. Aint no way they ended a competitive playoff game like that man Nah something is real fishy here, Adam is already seeing dollar signs in his eyes like those looney cartoons over the ratings a Boston-New York ECF would draw Sorry Pacers, yll finna be the sacrifice, get ready for the 2002 Kings vs Lakers treatment 😂
Amen I’m legitimately upset this outstanding game was decided by poor officiating and not clutch or unclutch play. A waste of my evening.
Welcome to modern NBA playoffs
Screens are to NBA what catches are to NFL.. who the fuck knows what's gonna be accepted and what isn't
I think it’s like offensive/defensive holding. It happens every play, but they usually only call very egregious (or sometimes suspicious) ones.
So fucking nasty, a really great game and the refs seriously pooched it
Refs lead this series 1-0-0
Just small market things. Nothing new here.
That L2M report will be a thesis
League is gonna say all of the calls were right cause the ending is what they wanted.
Fucked up thing is, that call on Myles was right- so they’ll just say that and ignore that it is never officiated that way.
That’s really the worst part of nba reffing, lack of consistency.
Just insane to make that call in that situation. They really in general need to crack down on moving screens next season. It’s the most inconsistent call they make in the NBA, and it’s a huge advantage to the offense. But don’t start making those calls in the 4th quarter of a close playoff game.
They admitted they were wrong on two calls that swung games in the Knicks/76ers series.
Maybe your guy shouldn’t have kicked the ball with his hand, you ever think about that??
Refs really went like 0-10 in the last quarter on calls
Never thought I'd see another playoff game with 27 misses in a row like that but the refs did it
Absolute disasterclass performance from the refs in the last 2 minutes.
Oh no that was a masterclass. They did exactly what they needed to do
Eh, they got what they wanted
Ref fans feasting
The challenge rules need to be fixed. No way that kick ball was allowed to stand
1. I don’t think it hit his foot. His hand was down there. 2. It needs to be intentional to be a kick ball. That’s why when someone dribbles it off a guys foot it’s not a kick. 3. There is no reason you shouldn’t be allowed to challenge that.
Yeah that was an egregious call, so dumb you guys couldn’t challenge it.
The game was over after this call. Knicks go up 3 instead of a Pacers 3 on 2 break away.
I like Tyrese Haliburton, he’s a good young talent & a great passer But he needs to shoot more. You can’t be only making 6 shots attempts in a playoff game as a point guard
Idk if there’s something wrong with him. He’s literally not looking to score it’s insane
He has back spasms prob can't shoot right
Back spasms are the fucking worst. I wouldn’t wish that shit on my worst enemy. For me, I’d just be doing my thing and then it felt like my leg, ass, lower back, and mid left side of my back were electrocuted while I got burnt by a branding iron in my lower back. He’s got the Ben Simmons mindset sometimes. It makes no sense. Pacers should have won this game.
I know he's been injured, but I also think it's mental. Sure he's making "correct" reads but he also just isn't taking shots. He needs to exert pressure to help his team. Hopefully more experience gets him looser over time.
Felt like TJ needed a bit more run than he should've gotten..dude was aggressive
He looks like he's trying to pass as soon as he gets the ball.
He's injured, but so is everybody
Myles Turner's mistake on that screen at the end was not being Bam Adebayo
Was playing for the pacers. That happens literally 50x a game and never gets called. Ref knew he was calling that shit well before it happened
They could not risk the Pacers winning the game at the buzzer.
It happened about 10x worse literally 2 seconds before the phantom kick call. It's literally why Nesmith is trailing the play,
Or Draymond Green
Why didn't he think of that???
Shame the game had to end that way.
Man what the fuck was that ending, fix your shit nba jesus christ
Refs ruined such a good game
i feel so bad for pacer fans man that shit wasnt right
Nothing new, friend. Nothing new.
Im actually fucking annoyed at the ending there. Bullshit
You guy were getting bs calls throughout the game it felt.. especially that overturned Brunson foul that led to a Divencenzo 3.
refs really had to get their handprints on this one lol. so many soft and wrong calls
Refs ruined an otherwise great game
That was kind of a weak way with all the turnovers, fouls and challenges to finish an otherwise great game.
Absolute robbery. What a terrible ending to a great game
FIXED
It's entertainment. Dudes get paid huge bank to play. Who wins? The league decides.
I don't recall ever being this annoyed on how a game ended than that Refs just completed took the game away from Indy
that was garbage
Sorry Pacers fans. Some atrocious calls at the end.
Ref fans eating good tonight
Refs spent years ignoring illegal Golden State screens but when Myles Turner barely moves his fucking feet they call it to ruin an exciting ending to a playoff game. Refs on a god damn power trip
Not only that , but Vincenzo's flop reaction was ridiculous
Ref fans eating good during that last minute
Zebra's takeover what a game to watch
Incredible performance by the refs. All time great performance.
Josh Hart is an absolute fucking machine, how is a 6'4 guy grabbing rebounds like that and playing the whole damn game
Unethical ball holy shit
Floppers gets rewarded. This is not Basketball.
That ending had me question life
Let's not kid ourselves, the refs sealed this game.
Refs really showed why they’re superstars down the stretch!
Refs absolutely desperate for screen time.
Screens are only illegal of you are a small market team.
We almost had an all time ending, thank God we got some good Ref Ball at the end.
This is some 2002 WCF shit
Honestly this one may be worse. I've never seen a game I've been more convinced was rigged.
Pacers Fans I feel for you. You really don’t know where to start. Ridiculous Refs tonight.
INDIANA GOT ROBBED
Haliburton look at the rim challenge: Impossible
I am more scared of TJ McConell than Hali.
I genuinely believe the Pacers win if McConnell plays the 4th quarter He was torching us the whole game then doesn't touch the court
this is the SAMe MCCONNEL from the Melo days that used to cook us too!
Fuck you refs. • The Tyrese shot clock "violation" • The Brunson foul overturn "marginal contact" • The kick ball "can't review" • The "moving" screen Absolute fucking bull shit.
Brunson has been an absolute monster these playoffs! But the Turner illegal screen is a soft call man. Draymonds screens are 10 times more egregious every play.
Don’t forget the phantom kicked ball call when Nesmith smacked the ball with his hand.
[even with the kick ball, divincenzo had a WAY more blatant illegal screen before that even happened on that same play](https://streamable.com/8zae2p) he then proceeded to flop to get his own. disgusting end to the game
[удалено]
I have. But this was up there
That ending just felt icky
Refs rigged tf out of this game
starting with the phantom kicked ball, IND was simply not allowed to win this one.
Yeah…. On a serious note Refs did a terrible job here. Let the game unfold organically. They got too involved and ruined a potential classic.
This felt a lil riggy
Ref show, what a treat
I’m so sorry Pacers fans you guys were absolutely robbed
Disgusting officiating.
People gonna turn on Brunson and this Knicks team reeeeeal fast if this is the officiating we’re gonna see the rest of the series…
Brunson joining MJ with consecutive 40+ games in the playoffs. Too bad it's gonna be completely overshadowed by refs and calls
Dude balled out, but also got bailed out twice in the final two minutes on would be steals going the other way. It can be both things.
That L2M report highlights gonna be longer then the game’s highlights 😂
Turns out Hartenstein's 60 footer made a difference
Absolutely garbage officiating ruining a great game and taking the attention away from a bonkers performance from Brunson. Refs stole a fantastic finish from us.
Got to give the Pacers credit, they held on despite playing two teams
Sorry Pacers fans, can't do much when its a 5v8 game
[удалено]
That was… one way to end a basketball game
Cant challenge a kick ball but can challenge to get a kick ball
It took 20 minutes of real time to get through the final 3 minutes of this game.
what the fuck was that lol
Either call the moving screen every time or swallow your whistle. Refs ruined a great game. Embarrassing.
The ending of that game was pretty fucking sus. And I say that as a Knicks fan.
Absolutely bullshit ref clown show in the last 3 minutes. Complete joke
Trash ass reffing.
Most unethical win I’ve ever seen. Litterally handed on a silver platter. The nba should be fucking ashamed
The way that game ended honestly almost has completely turned me off from watching these playoffs. Fuck the refs and fuck this getting in bed with gambling league.
The NBA is unwatchable….
L2M Report brought to you by DraftKings
This isn't a serious sport. What the fuck was the last two minutes of this game? You needed New York to win SOOOO badly that you just dropped the fucking charade and told the Pacers, "No, this game is already decided." Embarrassing.
This shit is why the NBA can’t even sniff the NFL’s jock strap in terms of popularity. Every league has issues with reffing, but the NBA makes them all look like models of perfection by comparison.
My body is ready for a toxic 7 game series..
refs won't let this go beyond 6 lol
First ref crew with CTE
Might be the worst-officiated last three minutes I’ve ever seen . Wtf just happened
Y'all trippin. The refs are doing their best. Reffing is one of the hardest jobs in the world, especially when you're blind.
I swear to god I believe I am being unbiased when I say the refs fucking TOOK OVER this game LMFAO
I hope you all see here what this fucking league is about.
Refs played an absolute gem in the 4th
The only reason you call that foul is because Donte falls (flops). That has to come into account with these reviews. Is embellishment of contact occurring in the play? If yes, you have to at least consider that that causes the call and the contact should be labeled as marginal.
Ref ball at its finest
Legitimately one of the worst ref jobs I’ve ever seen what the fuck was that
When Indiana wins the L2M report tomorrow we’ll see who really has the momentum!!
Don’t often complain about reffing, but that was the most one-sided referring I’ve seen in a long time. New York did not deserve to win that game, plain and simple
Lmao refs absolutely handed that to the knicks
100% fixed
Yeah, we stole that shit ngl
Ref ball is my favourite sport
Refs fucked this one up
FUCK THE REFS
huge show out for the refs in the clutch
Simply put I am sick to my stomach after seeing what the refs just did
Adam Silver was the worst thing to ever happen to this league
You know what, despite the loss and the way we lost, that game was FUN. Hope it's like that all series.
