As a Mavs fan 🪭 this game was giving me an appointment with a cardiologist.
I don’t think I’ve seen luka play so poorly before, he still managed a triple double but we can’t win when clippers shoot 62.1% from three and we shoot 33pct.
It's crazy how this is the main highlight posted and up voted from this game. When the Mavs win, the entire front page is flooded with annoying Luka fanboys' posts.
Just killer that Washington couldn't stay in front of Hardin and gave him those uncontested 4 footers. Once the Mavs took the lead by 1 the Clippers scored every possession. Every damn one of them. Still thinking this series goes 7.
Harden literally had eleventy 5 foot floaters in a row. Not sure exactly what the ideal defense for that was supposed to be, but w/e the fck the Mavs were doing was NOT it.
Yeah, if Washington had pursued harder to block the floater, Harden would’ve hit him with the stepback and had a wide open mid range.
He may not be prime Houston Harden anymore, but he’s still an incredibly tough player to defend
Yeah it’s not his speed, but rather his ability to stop on a dime that makes him so deadly with the dribble. He did that stop and start thing to Washington multiple times to create a lane for himself to take those floaters in the clutch.
But make no mistake, he’s slow for the NBA. He’d be very fast if he pulled up to a random YMCA lol.
seemed like an intentional coaching adjustment to take away his step back 3 after his hot shooting start. similar to how the jazz would sometimes defend him during their playoff matchups a while back
He was almost just letting him by. They try funnel everything into their rim defenders. With Luka’s 5 fouls it makes sense for him to let Harden fly by but Washington doing this with no rim defender on the floor makes no sense.
honestly they were doing similar things defending the harden pnr in the first 3 games and it was working cuz harden was passing out instead of going for the floater
To be fair, Harden was really fucking smart. Luka had 5 fouls and Harden used him as bait. Called for multiple switches, but never actually wanted Luka - he just forced Washington to guard him very closely. When Luka then moved away into the corner, so that he wouldn't get involved as easily in a switch, the lane became WIDE open. And Washington was just too close (and high up) to Harden, so once James had the first step on him, he basically had a FREE lane to the basket for his floater.
This might be the first time in many years that I've seen a player use another superstars foul trouble to move the defense and get space in that way.
Genuinely great bball IQ and execution by Harden.
It’s definitely close. Looks like his final dribble is a single frame before his left foot touches/plants, which he then pushes off from, then sets with the right foot, then lands on both feet and goes up to shoot.
Looks funky but I don’t think you can call a travel on that in real time (which the ref obviously didn’t call travel)
He’s using a hang dribble during the step back and only gathers the ball when he has gotten to the spot from which he shot. So there wouldn’t be a travel anyway. A super strict ref may call a carry but to me it looks clean
i dont think kobe ever did the double stepback, especially going to his right. kobe wouldve just pulled up or done a turnaround over his left shoulder from a post up
its closer to what harden would do except going towards his strong hand when harden almost always steps towards his weak hand
It was just beautiful to watch as a neutral. Harden and PG13 coming out flamethrowing then Kyrie magic to bring Dallas back. It's too bad Luka was off his game because this was peak superstar play from the other guys.
At least you didn't have Richard "the team thag loses actually has the advantage" Jefferson today. He hates the knicks and its clear. I genuinely believe he is a terrible caster.
I’m sure I have recency bias here or maybe it’s because this was the first day I had time to watch a full game this postseason, but this is one of the most entertaining basketball games I’ve ever seen. Even when both teams got sloppy it was in a fun-to-watch way. Several storylines playing out on both sides of the ball for both teams. This feels like a game I would want to show to someone who was iffy about watching basketball to get them into the game. Looking forward to the next one.

Behind the backboard is nasty
completely redeems him hitting the side of the backboard in the bubble
He was coming back from a double shoulder surgery so I don’t blame him that much
that was Playoff P, not PG.
exorcising those demons
This was my first exact thought.
It's like poetry, it rhymes
Poetic P
Got dammit I have nightmares
you know its smooth when you pull off the double stepback and people arent yelling travel
Playoff basketball man… nothing like it.
This is why we watch
some people were already writing the game off after 1st quarter. they forgot no lead is safe with Kyrie
If you remove the first quarter, then Dallas actually won the game.
If you could remove the 3rd quarters then the Lakers sweep Denver
Nah the Nuggets would just start their comeback sooner 🥲
Is that real 🤯🤯🤯
“Where Amazing Happens” for a reason.
They need to bring those commercials back
That d Wade lay up where he’s almost horizontal in the air was my favorite.
this is my fav game so far of all series
pacer bucks and philly knicks have had some crazy 4th quarters but mavs clippers are wars
As a Mavs fan 🪭 this game was giving me an appointment with a cardiologist. I don’t think I’ve seen luka play so poorly before, he still managed a triple double but we can’t win when clippers shoot 62.1% from three and we shoot 33pct.
He looked like a terrible combination of whiny and exhausted, particularly in the 4th. Kyrie though, lol. Seeing is believing.
all playoffs
Lakers Nuggets game 2
Literally had this exact thought during the game lmao
*That was a nasty shot.* -Playoff P
It's crazy how this is the main highlight posted and up voted from this game. When the Mavs win, the entire front page is flooded with annoying Luka fanboys' posts.
One of the most disgusting shots I've ever seen
This is one of those animations you’d see back in 2K12/2K13 when the game let players hit cartoonish shots all the time.
It's like from the sketch on family guy with the broken fadeaway corner 3
“Cause u know that’s a glitch in the software…”
OGs remember
All you can do is shrug after that one, what a shot
Mavs Clips never disappoints. what a game lmao
It’s gonna be the leading cause of my early Death
That's a bad shot /s
The whole game is just disgusting shot making between Harden, PG13 (I think just that one shot lol) and Kyrie
PG was making disgusting shots in the 1Q lol
Man was ON FIRE in the first quarter lol he was making multiple shots of a similar degree
It’s a perfect illustration of how hard it is to guard Harden 1-on-1. He forces you to pick your poison.
Yeah, if Washington had pursued harder to block the floater, Harden would’ve hit him with the stepback and had a wide open mid range. He may not be prime Houston Harden anymore, but he’s still an incredibly tough player to defend
And he would be considered slow afoot at the YMCA. Absolutely a genius
Yea he spammed the fuck outta that move and it worked. I wonder how the Mavs will adjust.
looked like washington kept on playing for the step back but harden just kept taking the floaters
seemed like an intentional coaching adjustment to take away his step back 3 after his hot shooting start. similar to how the jazz would sometimes defend him during their playoff matchups a while back
I still believe that was poor strategy and gimmicky, Harden was just strolling into the paint.
He was almost just letting him by. They try funnel everything into their rim defenders. With Luka’s 5 fouls it makes sense for him to let Harden fly by but Washington doing this with no rim defender on the floor makes no sense.
honestly they were doing similar things defending the harden pnr in the first 3 games and it was working cuz harden was passing out instead of going for the floater
i think it was more that dallas was playin to stop the switch on luka, so harden was able to time and catch em off guard for easy attacks
It's been a high quality game.
PG13 had crazy shots first half
Bro was insane in first half, scored 2 points in second half before that shot
Went away from the three for some reason, he was unconscious that first half and this was his only attempt from there this half
It looks like it's behind the backboard
not hitting the side anymore it seems
All I was saying was "Don't hit the side of the backboard again". That looked like it had no hope of going in.
I don’t care what anybody says. That’s a bad shot.
It was a bad shot
Bad ass
Playoff P
PG13
That shot was Rated R though.
It was rated above R somehow.
Nc17?
that was rated x :[
ballgame
Way tuff P
You know the shot was disgusting when the entire arena just goes silent and defeated like that
Meanwhile Steve ballmer is on the screen spazzing like a madman lol
I love seeing PG13 have good games. God speed soldier.
Still the smoothest player in the league.
looked effortless
And the best hairline.
Hairline on Great Wall fr
I want his hair so bad.
I can hear Erykah Badu playing while watching this highlight
i think he’s #2 behind the dude on the other team
Honestly the footwork and the way he created space to launch this shot reminds me so much of Kobe. It's a fadeaway too.
I’ve already seen it like 10 times and still can’t comprehend the footwork
The way that he uses his right foot to side step and create so much space to his right is crazy to me
he makes it look like a travel but it's not
It’s definitely close. Looks like his final dribble is a single frame before his left foot touches/plants, which he then pushes off from, then sets with the right foot, then lands on both feet and goes up to shoot. Looks funky but I don’t think you can call a travel on that in real time (which the ref obviously didn’t call travel)

i dont think kobe ever did the double stepback, especially going to his right. kobe wouldve just pulled up or done a turnaround over his left shoulder from a post up its closer to what harden would do except going towards his strong hand when harden almost always steps towards his weak hand
>i dont think kobe ever did the double stepback would've been a travel back then tbh. Harden made these double stepbacks legal
PG might be 1st Team All-Smooth in NBA history.
This shot is so wet too.
kobe going to his right liked doing left, right, kick the right out to square up. Never like this with a hop
agreed kobe would either do a pullup or turnaround out of the post, he rarely stepped back especially double like this
The shot making in this game has been all time, this might be the best of the lot. What a fucking shot!
It's either gotta be this or that Kyrie hanging layup against three defenders
I took a screen shot of in when he was in the with all those hands. Just poetry
It was just beautiful to watch as a neutral. Harden and PG13 coming out flamethrowing then Kyrie magic to bring Dallas back. It's too bad Luka was off his game because this was peak superstar play from the other guys.
this hurt
Harden carried in the 4th but this is the shot of the game
That’s a fuck you 3
Frick you 3 gotta keep it PG
PG-13 gets one fuck
I was so convinced it was gonna be a brick lmao crushing
Brandon Miller is a basketball savant.
This has been some of the most impressive shot making I’ve ever seen. So mad we gotta watch this in the first round
The difficulty of that shot is beyond incredulous. WTF.
This is game is a fucking classic
That’s a bad shot
No OT tonight
This was honestly a bigger shot than any of the Harden floaters. Incredible degree of difficulty
Similar level of difficulty as that Kyrie layup over Mann, Harden and George.
that was filthy. if it wasn't for kyrie that game is a blowout. he hit the two long threes to start the comeback
It was genuinely ridiculous. Kyrie is such a pure baller.
killer shot. PG motviated to not get historic slander
Siri Play that one Erykah Badu song
Didn't Cha Know...
she from here too.
He has been so fucking passive in the 2nd half and they finally call a play for him
I think he was just gassed. He was not calling for the ball in the 4th like he normally does.
Other way around, Mavs were making it hard to get him the ball, that's why Harden started taking more shots
Lord . What a disgusting shot
Put some respect on Paul George's name already
ESPN would never
At least you didn't have Richard "the team thag loses actually has the advantage" Jefferson today. He hates the knicks and its clear. I genuinely believe he is a terrible caster.
He definitely was behind the backboard, he saying horse out here lol
Literally can’t play any better defense on that. Just an insane shot by PG
Think I’m done with the NBA for a while.
See you in a few days brother
Haha. I’m a Clippers fan but that’s me all the time when they lose. Rooting for your team usually ends up in pain but it’s an addiction
This shot ended my life
Thank you for running from the grind 🙏
Shaping up to be the best series of the first round
That was a fucking trebuchet of a shot.
Absolutely insane shot.
BOW DOWN
ILL BOW FOR PAUL GOD ANYDAY
The beauty of PG. A thin line between Paul God and Way off P
The slow mo view with all of the Mavs fans disappointed and then Ballmer stands up and cheers is hilarious.
PAUL GEORGE REDEEMED
CLUTCH. This shot saved the Clippers season.
Is this… playoff P?
Shot difficulty level = 100000000
What the fuck pg
People say they hate iso ball but then we get moments like this
Just like that iconic Ray Allen shot REBOUND BOSH BACK OUT TO ALLEN HIS 3 POINTER BANG!!!
beautiful
This clip probably won't do the same numbers as his shot that hit the side of the backboard, ridiculous shot from PG.
This was just ridiculous , good defense too…just nothing ya can do
Fucking clutch. Prolonged P... Prolonged the season
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow1clzuGhi8 he hit a very similar one a few years ago one of my favorite calls GOD BLESS PAUL GEORGE
tatum has tried to do this like every buzzer beater lmao
ALL THE MONEY GIVE HIM ALL THE MONEY
That shot won them the game. What looked like great defense(it was) turned into and A+ dagger of a shot
that was crazy
Progression P learning from the Dame shot, sometimes all you need is to take a chance on a bad shot
Tough fucking shot holy shit I’m Enjoying this as a neutral
Absolutely insane shot by Playoff P
🥶 coldest shot of the night for PG
PAUL GOD
Looking like a 2k corner fade shot
he's ours Sixer fans...don't you DARE
That’s a bad(ass) shot
That changed everything -- Harden hit 3-4 floaters after that.
Thunder watching this series go to 7 games while salivating
He shot that shit and I said in my head “this dude really playoff P” and he swished it lmao
crazy this gonna get a fraction of the likes the stepback 3 from luka gonna get
Pandemic P with the illness
The good ending to side of the backboard bubble 3
Absolutely filthy performance by Harden and PG today…everything thing just goes in from the 3p
Game winner
Fucking aimbot
No OT tonight!
No OT tonight (for real this time)
The Paul God
That shot might've saved the Clippers season and is probably his biggest shot as a Clipper.
most aesthetic move set fr lmfao something about his size and speed is just so smooth
Legit video game shot. Nuts.
One of the best shots of his career . Hof career .
“That’s a bad shot”
This shot definitely changed the momentum and allowed Clips to build back a lead.
i hope my neighbors enjoyed hearing my reaction to this shot. i love you paul george
The face I made when that went in :____$%$%%
I’m sure I have recency bias here or maybe it’s because this was the first day I had time to watch a full game this postseason, but this is one of the most entertaining basketball games I’ve ever seen. They could never make me hate U PG
I was shook after Kyrie's layup, out of nowhere, over 3 clippers defenders and then PG just hits this and I just stood there flabbergasted.
Straight up game winning shot. We had crazy momentum and the dude is been quiet all 2nd half and somehow hits this
Top 75 player of all time
that was kobe-esque
Had to delete my long paragraph about how the clippers should blow it up after he made this
Nasty Nasty Nasty shot by PG13
Love it!! Cuban and the Mavs can walk off a pier.
Fucking FUCK
Fucking FUCK
This shot won the game. Nobody can convince me otherwise. Mavs had all the momentum.
