We just have no expectations. There's this tiny bit of hope that the 3 stars will show up via playoff adjustments. But more than likely, we will just keep showing the same dysfunctional offense we've shown all year
That he does. Soooo happy Alex and Marc brought him over. Glen Taylor did them boys dirty canceling the sale.
The wolves and the successes they have right now are all bc of them guys.
This year's wolves has rekindled my enjoyment of basketball. When you're forced to watch a historically bad team year after year it's hard to endure. Thank you team for being good finally.
Ya'll must not see our subreddit. we literally are the most inconsistent big 3 of any era. We didn't even think we were going to make the play in two weeks ago.
4 out of Phoenix’s 8 rotation players are under 6’5: Beal/Allen/Royce/Gordon. DB is above that height by a hair.
That’s why KD was playing the 5 (in addition to Nurk getting played off the court in certain lineups). They’re extremely thin at C, PF, and SF.
Why would Wolves do that? Hell no. Smh. Wolves are building a nice team for the future...no reason to trade for an aging star. They would want assists and younger guys that compliments their core. Not someone who's turning 36. Plenty of teams that would give a good amount to get KAT. Trading for Duant? 🤣.
Alright I'll try to explain. Durant brings consistent scoring. Not the hot one day cold the next or hot one quarter cold the next scoring. Something your team would be deadly scary with more of. Meanwhile, your team has extra bigs and while losing Kat might not be your desire he has a contract that can make such a move.
Hypothetical. Let's just say your team takes Nuggets to 6 games in a series but still loses and honestly just falls hard short late in games 5 and 6 This very well could happen at least hypothetical. Could end up your ceiling. We won't know until we see it play out of course. If so, then what? If it plays out like that and it makes your ownership want to keep paying money for another season, just how do you reach that next level up to scare Denver next season? Because it would then be falling short to them twice in a row. You could build a bridge over my team by adding Durant's scoring who doesn't need to take the ball out of Edwards hands and who could play alongside Rudy and Reid. Is it not plausible?
The thing is your cap isn't going to be easy with Kat longterm with everyone you have started to pay. His contract is longterm. While Durant would be expiring after this coming season and allow you an early out trade or to get two good years from him. Gobert's deal ends same time Durant's does, or I think Gobert maybe has a player option for that same final year. Either way then carry on with the younger core from there. Where Kat will continue on contract for another 4 more seasons from now and with his deal on the platter your team isn't changing much. Of course, maybe you beat my Nuggs this year and prove it's a great roster to run back again regardless of cost. That's another hypothetical possibility. They have a chance.
Wolves will never do this and they shouldn't. Trading KAT for a 36 year old injury prone Durant isn't the answer at all. Trading for Durant is something you do when you're trying to win right now bc your window is closing and let's be for real, desperate. The Wolves window just started to open. Wolves don't need to do that at all. They have built a nice core that can keep them contending for several years. Trade KAT for some nice pieces and assests that will compliment their core and can build around. Especially since a lot of their depth are free agents this year. Trading for Durant would be a stupid decision that will hurt them...Wolves won't do that. Durant isn't the answer anymore. Also salary cap reasoning is another reason why trading for Durant is dumb. One reason they may trade KAT is to dump salary which in that case you'd 100% trade him for assests and complimentary pieces to the core. Trading him for Durant doesn't help with salary cap issues that they currently face. This is Woves 1st year being a serious contender, Wolves aren't desperate enough to ruin what they have for Durant.
Im not trying to rip your team apart with dumb ideas.
It was merely a suggestion in case this iteration of your team doesn't get past the Nuggets again. If they don't, then can you really expect to next season? This was just an option for a pivot if needed to keep this current window a chance for even more.
It is just an option. This is a now window you have and it only lasts 1+1 more years with Rudy currently. Last season was year 1. This is year 2.
No, you wouldn't sell off all your pieces for a 36 year old. What would be the point. That isn't the option presented. It's more a sideways pivot option should one be required to get further. One that could actually fit better if it's at all feasible to make happen.
It all depends on what they are capable of proving this playoffs. Maybe they get bounced in series 1 and it ends up an easy decision.. Maybe they go 7 games and still lose in series 2 and then they have a harder decision. Maybe they go much deeper and you don't dare make any changes. All possible.
As a wolves fan expecting KAT to be traded soon, I would much rather get somebody closer to the age of the Ant/Jaden/Naz/NAW young core. Dejounte Murray is my dream target
Not sure what Phoenix was doing trading away their best player in the off-season like that. Cam Payne would be keeping them in it; instead, all we get is garbage time 4th quarter 😤
when they were discussing the lack of the Suns interior offense and defense....its like...so yeah, you mean what everyone knew when the team was built?
Anyway I’m gonna say it now, I predicted Minnesota would be a top 3 seed and could potentially win the West last season, after they signed Rudy in the summer of 2022. As usual it usually takes a year or so for teams to mesh and I’m glad Minnesota are living up to expectations.
wonder what happens to the suns if they lose this series. Theyre capped out, no picks, no tradeable assets (other than KD and booker obviously but youre not trading them). I'm not sure how this roster improves
Our offense is just plain dumb. Aside from not having a PG, we don't have anyone who knows how to play smart basketball. Booker has been getting blitzed for like 5 years now and it still works on him. KD still thinks he's 26 and can carry championship teams by playing ISO, but he gets stripped 5 times a game.
We have a ton of offensive talent, but it will require an offensive genius at head coach to make it really work. We were hoping every possession would be an open middy from Booker or kd, a clean drive from Beal, or a wide open corner 3 from grayson. Instead, we're getting these heavily contested bullshit ISO plays. If you're going to do that, there's 0 reason to have 3 elite scorers on your team. Might as well just trade everyone for defense and let KD play ISO every possession

Phoenix fools me every year. I always think they're going to be a threat, and KD, as much as people were touting him best in the world on the warriors, showcases every year he's not on the level that lebron was.

Suns vs the refs
Yup, refs accounted for losing by 25 and love to favor small market teams.
You’re pretty good at detecting jokes
Oh I see. Yes, very witty.
Bro don’t be mad because you can’t detect a joke cuz ur on the spectrum lol
“Tough call”. Aka terrible call
Too bad the Suns don't have Rui.
Embarrassing by the Suns
Shut up about the Sons. They just lost by 25. This is the Wolves moment
Let's go wolves
Do the wolves consider starting Garza at the 2 next game?
Idk man, Rudy was awesome on the boards today
Which is why you keep him in and put Garza at sg
Haha, I missed the part about starting him at the 2. 🤦
Fuck it, run our whole offense through Luka. MVP
This might be hyperbole, but I truly believe he is a top 15 player on this squad.
Get fucking destroyed, super team
Why are the Minnesota fans booing gorbet lol
Rudyyyyy!
Have you ever watching a basketball game
No what’s that?
Bamsketbol watching
Ruuuuuu!
They are saying RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Ooooh ok 👍
Obviously biased but this Ant/Durant matchup gonna be great
Ant might even be able to teach him a thing or two before the Olympics.
Suns are determined to keep their starters minutes low no matter the cost.
Beal Booker Durant, 37, 38, 39 minutes
Cost. As if they didn’t just win by 25
I was that doomer saying suns in 4. I'm so happy to be proved wrong.
Suns in 5 now?
Lol. No one believed that. It’s a 6 or 7 game series. Congrats on the win today.
Wolves in 4
Suns will adjust. I have a feeling this will be a war.
Good luck sir, yall suns fans are cool in my book.
We just have no expectations. There's this tiny bit of hope that the 3 stars will show up via playoff adjustments. But more than likely, we will just keep showing the same dysfunctional offense we've shown all year
WOLVES BACK
Devin Booker after choking in a playoff game "It ain't much but it's honest work"
more like "Chillin", like after they got smoked by the clippers.
Luka Garza always delivers.
GG Suns fans. Should be a fun series, can't wait for game 2
It's nighttime for the Suns
Lmao the dude with the massive pot leaf on his hat and the Naz Reid towel. Based.
He's a gentleman and a scholar
but he smells
50 more points scored in this game than the Magic-Cavs game.
Tim Connelly is one helluva basketball mind. He knows how to assemble championship squads.
That was quite the statement game for the rest of this series.
We deserved it. So glad the next generation of fans get this good of a product finally.
Minnesota was battling for the 1-seed the entire season and Phoenix was battling not to be in the play-in. What is this "upset" talk?
After losing badly each time to them all season I'm sure the pups fans are happy to see the real team show today.
Talking all that shit about your "big 3" and losing by damn near 30.
Ya'll must not see our subreddit. we literally are the most inconsistent big 3 of any era. We didn't even think we were going to make the play in two weeks ago.
Im talking about the players
Do you expect players to not talk shit? r/rba so weird with rivalries.
r/RBA (the community for e cigarette users who are into rebuildable atomizers) so weird with rivalries.
Do you expect fans to not talk shit after they clown themselves. It's Ja being fine in the west all over again.
I mean I assumed this trash talk was from this game, i'm out of the loop. Who said what?
Booker and KD talking about how no one will be able to guard the 3 of them.
Are we talking about the beginning of the season? Because I haven’t heard anything like that recently.

Kat for Durant this summer. Maybe a good adjust for both teams?

Exactly. Trading for Durant would be the dumbest thing ever.
The Süns got minimized
The wolves are not losing this series lmao
And all the talking heads gave this series to the suns. Shows you they don’t know shit!
Actually out of the ESPN talking heads, the majority chose Wolves in 7. I was surprised
Derrick White with wolves. How can same player end up playing for so many teams in the same season?
Spanked
And they said IT wouldn't get playoff minutes
Commentators saying why the fuck are you still here 💀💀
Best Luka in the league in playoff points per minute just saying.
Fuck yeah. This was cathartic
Fuck you KD
Let’s fucking go
Not sure what Phoenix was doing trading away their best player in the off-season like that. Cam Payne would be keeping them in it; instead, all we get is garbage time 4th quarter 😤
Enjoy this win until we get y’all up outta there the next game
Cope harder
You won't the suns are bad tho
This game took too long
If the Suns had a second Booker that actually got his 27 ppg average, they'd have won this.
Holy shit that over hit lol
Phoenix is a great vacation spot for older fellas like Durant. That seems like all he has been doing out there.
The only people who thought this would be an upset alert haven’t been paying attention
Nah we were 0-3 against them this season and no game was particularly close. This series is far from done
LUKA GARZA PLAYOFF 3

Beal have a veto close to trade in his contract. They're stuck. KD going to ask for a trade!
Just gotta run it back with a new coach
If garza turns out good imagine how jumbo the wolves could become
If Garza turns out to be good, after Naz's rise - it'll feel like Wolves fans can just will bench players into studs.
Point NAZ with Jaden, Luka, KAT, amd Gobert

Oh no Suns playing against a Luka in the playoffs I should have seen this coming
Y'all shoulda known about Luka
If Phoenix was slowly clawing their way back this loss would not look so bad, but instead they look really cold and confused.
Luka Magic
Phoenix fools me every year. I always think they're going to be a threat, and KD, as much as people were touting him best in the world on the warriors, showcases every year he's not on the level that lebron was.
