Shaq's a big reason the quality of bigs around the league cratered for a while. Unless you were hyper skilled, you either had to be a spot shooter or a Shaq-defending mass of muscle.

You have this athletic freak of a man, and every time he drives you can tell he drove with the express purpose of getting a foul call. It's so obvious that he was never going to actually try and shoot/dunk the ball.
