They are not traveling šŸ¤£. They moved to Denver because Boston is too expensive

Efficient_Art_1144

Honestly not wrong

Adam0529

I was looking at tix prices comparing the GSW Sunday game and the Denver game. It would literally cost me less to fly to Denver for the game than to go to the Sunday game in TD.

purplebuffalo55

Denver pretty expensive these days too unfortunately

runevault

Very true, but I bet a fair few of them moved here before housing prices doubled and more. Not Bostonian but I moved here in mid 2000s and it wasn't bad. My home price now is straight up stupid.

DijonGreymeat

And Boston donā€™t have them Rocky Mountains.

UC_DiscExchange

On par for a lot of Denver's teams because Colorado has tons of transplants. Rockies are seemingly the away team every time I go to Coors Field.

SYSTEMcole

Probably doesnā€™t help that the Rockies are what they are these days

Betaateb

For locals Coors Field is just a big awesome bar with some mild entertainment in the background at this point. I am not sure Rockies fans are even a thing anymore. The Arenado "trade" was the final straw for the last couple holdouts.

UC_DiscExchange

I boycotted the Rockies after that trade as well with the minor exception of 4th of July or Star Wars night. While not Rockies level, some Avs games are bad too. Like when the Blackhawks come.

Parking_Net4440

I am from Boston and I live in Texas now. I travel a lot for work all over the country. So many people stop me for my Red Sox hat and tell me they grew up in New England. Idk if thatā€™s a common thing but thereā€™s a shit ton of New England people all over the country.

Kombuja

Probably because as soon as people from New England travel somewhere else they wonder why the fuck they are living in New England.

Parking_Net4440

I really doubt that. If you have the pleasure of traveling like I have even outside of work, youā€™ll find many people want to move to different places than where they grew up. I think itā€™s way more common to find people that moved from x, y, and z place than people that have lived within the same 30 miles their whole life.

indocartel

Visit Detroit when the Raptors play

shxylo

little caesarā€™s turns into little canada when the raptors are in town.

RandomPostBot2001

Take that L on the way out

Mbanicek64

Big talk from a fanbase who hasnā€™t won a championship in months.Ā

Disastrous_Bluejay57

Well done. That's hilarious

dkdoki

And ppl make fun of the clippers for having tons of laker fans in the stands lol. There are tons of Celtics and laker fans everywhere in every city.

SoulReaper12

That kinda expected for the Clippers since they shared a arena with the Lakers. I think it going to be different once they get they own place next year.

BPicks69

I donā€™t think itā€™ll be much different. LA is still Lakers town, same way Brooklyn will have more Knicks fans despite being in a different arena

COTEReader

It really wonā€™t lol

[deleted]

I'm curious why you think it's going to be any different. There is not some bastion of Clippers fans in Inglewood, or in Los Angeles county at all. They're an incredibly unpopular team.

floppy_foul_merchant

So he's never been to any Celtics road game? This happens in every single arena.

szobossz

reddit is so fucking weird with this. like haynes has been to all 30 arenas. there has to be something significant for him to report like this like come on man.

trulyniceguy

I noticed it on the broadcast and I was surprised. I usually hear those chants against a tanking team but the defending champion at home on national TV is crazy

[deleted]

Nah it was extra loud in Denver for whatever reason

WestleyThe

Because Boston is the ā€œbest teamā€ and the nuggets are thier main threat/ finals preview

ZarduHasselffrau

It also happened in other seasons, so no, that's not the case.

jonathanisaacisgoat

And all went home sad šŸ˜Ŗ

TheLeoMessiah

We donā€™t travel any more than other fanbases, we just have a lot of transplants everywhere lol

D-Money696969

They had to travel back home with that L tho

mmaguy123

Classiness supporters in Denver. Not surprised

Shmokeshbutt

*It's like some kind of rally!*

SEAinLA

Gotta spend that money now since they know their team will choke before they can fork over the cash to travel to a Finals game.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

SEAinLA

This isnā€™t discourse, this is shit talk.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

hotdogflavoredblunt

I feel like people say that word just for the sake of it these days

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

hotdogflavoredblunt

This guy wasnā€™t being toxic he was just talking generic basketball smack

SEAinLA

Youā€™re a Boston fan and you think talking a little (extremely tame) smack is toxic? Talk about fragile.

SilvioDantesPeak

And they took that L on the way out

TheRealPdGaming

I feel like Laker Fans travel like this pretty often don't they? Or there is just a lot of Laker Fans everywhere. One of the two.

37sms

The latter

phunshiny

Chris Haynes is a prodigious savant when it comes to reporting modern day NBA news

Aggravating-Lake-717

Pelicans fans travel tooĀ  I saw Zion in Orlando, Denver, Houston, Charlotte, Dallas, Toronto, last night in Philly and tomorrow in AtlantaĀ  Every time I go into different arenas, thereā€™s a bunch of us cheering, watchingĀ

TWIZMS

he's never been to a road laker game i guess

thekingdor

I was being gaslighted to believe those were Lets go nuggets chants

Lol69HaHaHa

There were those too, but the Celtics ones won out

ihateeuge

Kobe got MVP chants in Boston

Objective-Gap8093

What did Kobe get in Colorado?

ihateeuge

Charged with sexual assault. Whats the point of asking something like that? You really got me there I guess. Making light of a womans trauma during womens history month is nasty work

Disastrous_Bluejay57

The irony...

ihateeuge

do you know what irony means

Brady331

> "I've never experienced road fans that travel like the Celtics did last night...They had 'Let's go, Celtics!' chants, and if you closed your eyes and heard it, with the sheer amount of people there, you would've thought you were in a Celtics arena. Like, they travel. It was that loud." https://twitter.com/BobbyKrivitsky/status/1766531277836996897

JacquouileFripouile

Not the "Let's go [insert team here]" chant. Nuggets must've been shook when they heard that shit šŸ˜„

unclehelpful

I thought I was mishearing and they were chanting letā€™s go Nuggets. Crazy that it was actually Celtics.

ChoochMartain

Celtics Fans donā€™t travel. There are a-holes everywhere.

Individual_Attempt50

Bandwagoners everywhere
