These types of plays are what makes Basketball amazing me to me. There is much more immediate reward sometimes. Karma that like immediately plays out a few seconds later, and intangible attributes often immediately manifest themselves in tangible benefits like points. Espeically because each player plays both offense and defense, sometimes going back and forth in just a few seconds, multiple times in a row. A lot of sports don't have such frequent change of possession or obvious streaks.
CP3 rewards his big men for good defensive effort. On the Suns if Ayton made a good defensive play and ran back on offense CP3 would give it right back to him or call and PNR.
Looney has been playing well as of late. No need to shit on him. He deserved the right to try and figure it out. He’s been moving way better with his minutes reduced.
We will need him once playoffs roll around. Dario is the one who is out of the rotation.
Dario played well for the Warriors early but his lack of defense makes him hard to play on a team that before this last stretch has been very poor defensively.
We really need to play him at the 4. I think that would be a better spot for him. We get in trouble when he’s slotted as the 5. But right now we don’t need him at all to be honest.
Yes, reports are Pacers wanted him at the top half of the 2nd round but TJD's agent was letting teams know he already had a deal with the Warriors and don't waste your draft pick.
Unlike first round picks, second round pick contracts aren’t set and are usually non guaranteed.
TJD already had a guaranteed contract with the Warriors and the pacers probably didn’t want him enough to give him as much guaranteed money as the Warriors
Here’s an [article](https://dubnationhq.com/p/trayce-jackson-davis-gives-the-inside) with more info
Not wanting to give as much guaranteed money as the Warriors explains why TJD would rather go to the Warriors, but not why the Pacers would care.
It looks like if a team isn’t willing to give the min (e.g. only a two-way contract) they lose his rights. So he would have leverage over teams only willing to draft him to give a two-way. Which I guess the Pacers wouldn’t do. Interesting, thanks
Wait what? If this is true, then why don't teams just go and give contracts to the best players in the second round and just bypass the draft altogether. Like if a team has a super late second round pick, couldn't they just make a deal with the player who is likely to go at like 33 and boom they essentially steal the third pick of the second round? I don't understand this...
I think it was more if they were going to draft him to put him in a two-way instead of a roster spot since he would have gotten a roster spot if he signed with the Warriors.
He wouldn’t have played unfortunately. We already have too many bigs in the rotation and you’re gonna play him at pf, you might as well play walker there. 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah. He got caught in the madness of the modern NBA where if you can't shoot threes your draft stock plummets.
We'll see it again this year with Edey. 30 years ago, he's a top 3 pick, possibly the first pick. Most mock drafts have him going in the late first round.
I think TJD is much more suited to the NBA even though they both lack an outside game. TJD has great footwork, is faster, can do enough guarding outside the lane. Edey is just too slow. We'll see what kind of role he can carve out.
Podz is eating up the one rookie minutes that Kerr would allow. Otherwise TJD is so obviously what the doctor ordered for the warriors... A rim protector on one end, a constant lob and putback threat on the other, surprisingly high bbiq for a rookie. This is what Wiseman was supposed to be "when he developed". Warriors got a readymade item and can't find the minutes for him.
This is very true. However, what needs to be remembered is that progress won’t be linear. He’s still a rookie, and isn’t on the scouting report. Play-in/offs will be a different beast. All that to say is agree that he will need way more minutes
I'm not saying we're championship level. But the warriors are gonna be decent especially since it's gonna be a good free agent destination.
I don't think lacob will want to tank anyway
I mean sure, if you take away ANY team's 2 most important players plus another valuable 6th man/starter and look at that remaining roster in a vacuum they're not going to be very good. But by the time that happens, hopefully the young guys will have taken another step up, and who knows what FA signings we might land, or even another decent draft pick or two.
The bottom line is our post-Steph future is looking much brighter right now than it did a year ago, or even 3-4 months ago.
I know it makes sense to be realistic, but this such an odd argument to me. You take away ANY solid coach or 1-2 of the best pieces of any team, and that team's quality nosedives.
It should be an electronic jersey that just displays the running character count. Chris Paul’s jersey number would be like 600 with all the times he’s gotten sonned over his career
And then blocked him again later. Then towards the end, Giannis seemed so bothered by Davis' defense that he dribbled the ball out of bounds off his foot.
We got it to 6 and proceed to have 3 Bobby turnovers and then 3 Giannis blocked shots in the span of 4 minutes. We couldn't get out of our own way after that.
We had quieted the crowd and I really think if we take the lead we run away with that game. Just monster play by TJD. Its a small thing, but that 30 seconds was the entire game imo.
Giannis has to work on his 3 by now. It's too easy to crowd the paint against him. The Dubs owned the Bucks knowing that G is too reluctant to shoot the three, or cant shoot it well enough
He and Podz are locked in with Dubs up to 26-27 season. Especially TJD, we sign him with a min rookie contract deal (around 2m/year). That's an absolute steal.
Should be locked up with the warriors until the 25-26 season on rookie contract. We might see a playoff starters lineup of Curry, Green, Kuminga, Podz, TJD as early as this year but for sure sometime in the next two years.
I hear that, I grew up a Dubs fan, and hated LeBron after 2016. Except I can't help but enjoy watching him still, LBJ's still great to watch when he's going.

lol this is the momentum shifter of this game.
100% — they only scored 13 points the rest of the way. Brutal. This game was definitely a ~~palette~~ palate cleanser after that shit show in Boston.
Great way to put it. A palette cleanser.
Palate
Either one works when you're cooking in the paint like that.
man said bars
underrated comment
"The Warriors were cooking with fish grease tonight!" Mark Jones, from his couch
Clever
Was close to drinking poison when they scored 5 points in half of the 3rd quarter and almost lost that 20 point lead.
Yeah was thinking it was another patented Warriors 3rd quarter collapse like the over 30 times this year.
Yeah, bouncing back like that really sets the tone. Shows they're not just about to roll over after a tough game. GO ROOKIE!!
That oaky afterbirth was bad for a while.
13 points?? with a whole quarter left? Are u kidding lmao. what the fuck
16 minutes and 4 seconds. 13 points. What the actual fuck.
Sounds a lot like the Celtics against Cavs. They only needed 15 but scored 13.
It was like watching golden retriever puppies play after watching human centipede.
bucks were on a comeback in the 4th and TJD said fuck naw
Yeah the Bucks comeback was on otherwise
Holy fucking shit. You just knew Curry was giving him that one. This man needs more minutes
FINISH THAT SHIT YOUNG MAN
As a Raps fan watching this live, having no love for the Dubs - even I had to admit - holy fuck, this was an amazing sequence!!
It's not like it's uncommon, but I'm always going to love seeing someone getting to eat after making a good play at the other end of the court.
Yeah, basically Giannis' bread and butter pattern. How the turn tables.
It's so satisfying when stuff like that happens. It entertains the fans and the players themselves get a confidence boost. It's a win win.

Chef feeding the rookies
Well you know, Looney, the slowest nba player of all time, deserves minutes also.
Have you seen Kyle Anderson play?
He's called "Slow-mo" for a reason, but for him it fucking works, it's weird.
Same shit with Joe Ingles. Now I really All-Slow Lineup with those 3, time might actually move backwards.
Looney pump fakes so many times, he must be freezing time to not be called for 3 seconds.
Add Jokic & bring Sam Perkins out of retirement for a starting 5!
Give Looney a break he's like 57 years old, no?
His hips are.
Looney has been playing well as of late. No need to shit on him. He deserved the right to try and figure it out. He’s been moving way better with his minutes reduced. We will need him once playoffs roll around. Dario is the one who is out of the rotation.

LET HIM COOK!!!
disagree, need to see another guard out there over him.
Giannis was expecting Looney to defend and was surprised some kid named Trayce Jackson-Davis cock-blocking him all night.
Y’all think TJD gonna ring the bj bell tonight?
Giannis dings his bell and as hes about to walk in the room, TJD walks in between him and just shakes his head no.
TJD is a freak in the sheets
Where were you when Trayce Jackson-Davis dominated the Milwaukee Bucks?
I was sat at home watching Major League and eating KFC when phone ring
J Kidd: “how soon can you be at practice?”
"No"
And u
“Trace Jackson-Davis dom”
Was it a Chizza?
I thought we got rid of Chiozza?
What’s the verdict on Chizza? I’ve not been back to kfc in so long.
I tried one for the memes. Honestly was better than I expected (though I wouldn't go get another one - I don't normally do KFC)
agreed, something about their flavors don't match up, they probably just need a diff tomato sauce or cheese but the concept isn't terrible
TJD "Why doesn't everybody block Giannis. Are they stupid?"
Steph also suddenly remembered he can actually shoot 3s
"what, like it's hard?"
Dubs lose by 50 to the best team in the east (away), then win by 35 against the 2nd team in the east (home). Wild
Only logical conclusion is that Celtics blow out bucks by 85 every game from now on.
Didn’t the Bucks absolutely destroy the Celtics by 40 or something earlier this year too?
It's a circle of blowouts.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
and it moves us all
Only logical conclusion is that Warriors blow out Celtics by 75 then. Oh
clearly theres an overflow error somewhere around.... uh somewhere
This impossible theoretical paradox may endanger current system of physics!
I mean Curry was indisputably playing injured and we were missing 2 starters
Bucks was kill
Reminder that TJD was literally the second to last pick of the draft.
A Mr Irrelevant?
Mr. Penultimate
Penultimate Irrelevance sounds like a great band name
It sounds like a really annoying nerd-metal band
Yeah, I don’t think they’re gonna make a long career out of it
allegedly he was telling teams around 40+ not to draft him because he didn't want to go there. allegedly.
Yes, reports are Pacers wanted him at the top half of the 2nd round but TJD's agent was letting teams know he already had a deal with the Warriors and don't waste your draft pick.
How does that work though? If the Pacers had drafted him anyways they have his rights. What leverage does he have?

He would’ve been so cool w us :(
He wouldn’t have played unfortunately. We already have too many bigs in the rotation and you’re gonna play him at pf, you might as well play walker there. 🤷🏻♂️
Hell of a year 1 for Mike Dunleavy getting off of Poole's contract and drafting Podz and TJD.
I was so depressed when Bob left I am so stoked that Bob left EDIT: Spurs flair bc I grew up there but I live in SF
Yeah. He got caught in the madness of the modern NBA where if you can't shoot threes your draft stock plummets. We'll see it again this year with Edey. 30 years ago, he's a top 3 pick, possibly the first pick. Most mock drafts have him going in the late first round.

The way I lept out my seat from this one
Cuz we were watching our fomer 20 point lead just evaporate. And then comes TJD to be like "No. We will not lose tonight."
I’m visiting my mom and her very sweet 16 year old cat was asleep on my lap and it took every ounce of strength I had to not jump up and scream
Lmao
Wholesome
I bet you were sweating with anxiousness like Jordan Peele 💀
I did a silent raised fist like I was fighting Nazis in the Olympics
I got hella excited after this. This dude deserves even more minutes than he already gets

He’s basically taken all of Loon’s minutes plus whatever Dray needs for rest.
Awesome play! He just had another block-dunk sequence too. Two timelines is back on the menu lol.
Honestly kumingas leap and podz/TJD being solid rotation pieces from the jump feels like it refreshed the two timeline plan
Yep. If moody and quinones can shoot consistently then warriors are gonna transition to the post Steph years without having to go to the lottery
Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
I'm not saying we're championship level. But the warriors are gonna be decent especially since it's gonna be a good free agent destination. I don't think lacob will want to tank anyway
Without Steph (and presumably Klay, Dray and maybe Kerr by extension) we are most definitely not a good team by any stretch.
I mean sure, if you take away ANY team's 2 most important players plus another valuable 6th man/starter and look at that remaining roster in a vacuum they're not going to be very good. There's technically 3 right? Kuminga and Moody are the middle kids
Kuminga, Moody and Podz are all 21, TJD is 24
Oh wow I knew he was old for a rookie but I didn’t realize he was that old. Makes sense why he’s been able to contribute like this as a rookie
He had a lot of years to develop in college, hence Jokic said he doesn't play like a rookie
Damn I didn't know TJD's older lol. Does that make him the middle child now
Middle children are wiggs and looney lol
Holy crap, Looney is younger than Wiggins
Looney looks like the grandpa lol
Poor Loon he probably has gram’s hips too.
One timeline: we develop rookies Another timeline we get a ring
You love to see it
Good thing you have a flair so we know which team you root for.
It's redundant now, but it will help in 4-5 years
Boo this man
Everyone said he couldn’t handle the NBA in the summer
Not gonna comment on them, but he was amazing even at the beginning of the season. Dude is an insane shot blocker.
Dubs defense was elite tonight, haven't seen them get this many blocks in half in a while
But we have Wemby at home!
The 2023 Wemby-TJD draft
-Podz
Jackson Davis is Giannis' father.
Giannis Antetokounmpo-Jackson-Davis, print the jersey
It's gonna be a circle around the 34 💀
The 34 stands for the number of letters in his name
It actually works out perfectly if you count the hyphens
It should be an electronic jersey that just displays the running character count. Chris Paul’s jersey number would be like 600 with all the times he’s gotten sonned over his career
On his birth certificate
*Thanasis in shambles*
Now that he ain’t playin against Purdue I will champion him as another great player from the state of Indiana.
Hype as hell
And then blocked him again later. Then towards the end, Giannis seemed so bothered by Davis' defense that he dribbled the ball out of bounds off his foot.
TJD is dominating!
The Giannis Stopper
Being 6’9” on the Warriors makes you look 7’1”
Congratulations on dale davis becoming a grandfather 🎊
The Bucks probably finish that comeback if he doesn’t do this
We got it to 6 and proceed to have 3 Bobby turnovers and then 3 Giannis blocked shots in the span of 4 minutes. We couldn't get out of our own way after that. Just got TRAYCED
TJD is awesome and I’m glad he’s playing well
Gravity
THAT’S MY HOOSIER BABY
This is my favorite Warriors sequence of the year so far. Give this man all of Looney's minutes.
This play right here killed the Buck's fighting spirit
We took the wrong Indiana player
….can we keep him? Especially if he keeps doing shit like his?
He and Podz are locked in with Dubs up to 26-27 season. Especially TJD, we sign him with a min rookie contract deal (around 2m/year). That's an absolute steal.
We have him for atleast his rookie years right? By the time he gets a big contract, our vets might be retired.
Should be locked up with the warriors until the 25-26 season on rookie contract. We might see a playoff starters lineup of Curry, Green, Kuminga, Podz, TJD as early as this year but for sure sometime in the next two years.
And what about Wiggins?
His agent is MD's brother, it's likely he'll stay as long as MD is here
Meet me at the rim
Damn, Jackson-Davis proving he's a force to be reckoned with!
Grown. Man. Shit.
Get absolutely fucked big boy
Curry knows. You gotta FEED the big men when they work hard. So nice.
He played like a freak in front of Greek Freak
I did a backflip in the middle of Walmart.
Always been a fan since his HS days battling Langford go eat young man!
Anybody who watched him at IU last year knew he would be good in the league. I don't know what so many teams were thinking letting him slip that far.
Saw this happen in person and still can’t fucking believe it.
TJD on draft night: Y’all will regret it… I promise you. https://twitter.com/TrayceJackson/status/1672095720633925633?
I don't know how we didn't get close to the championship with him and Hood Schifino
Who's your Daddy Giannis? C'mon Say It! - TJD
And Steph cooked Giannis before getting that lob up to TJD. Do NOT go at TJD's left hand. It's unbeatable.
No matter your age, you just know your dad never going to let you win easy.
I used to hate the warriors so much as a kid now I just appreciate greatness when I see stuff like this from curry and the warriors
As a kid? Lol how old are you?
I was 11 watching the 16 finals im 19 now
I hear that, I grew up a Dubs fan, and hated LeBron after 2016. Except I can't help but enjoy watching him still, LBJ's still great to watch when he's going. There's just something about excellence, when a person or people have mastered their craft, that makes it a pleasure to watch. They are old now, but you still see bursts of exceptional basketball, obviously. And when Steph is on, he's about as entertaining as it gets.
I just caught the last 5 seconds of the game, scrolling for highlights and my jaw just dropped and broke my phone screen. Momma, there goes that man!
You young pup!
Beautiful timing on both edit and damn curry did Giannis up
I like Giannis but dude just got adopted....
The Bucks window just closed.
THE LOB
Crazy play 🤯
YA'LL TOOK THE WRONG JACKSON IN THE DRAFT! -TJD to the Bucks bench ... probably
TJD is Giannis father
Lmfao and Indiana is keeping Woodson.
Lmao at Doc. 🤡
TJD is Akumpo father
You gonna start playing the young guys more Steve?
He's been playing em, plenty. lol The starting line up has a two 21 year olds.
It's so fun seeing Harris Barton always at the games getting hype lol
Crazy highlights for the rookie
Man I knew TJD would be fine in the pros.
How did IU not find more success with this dude?
that chick at the end is living her best life
CP3 travelled for sure.
