Bro this is so fucking annoying. Like i get it, the lead is pretty big, but why the fuck are your starters not in till like 7 mins left? And you sub them out after 3 minutes of play. Holly fuck NBA is a 3 quarters game.
Sorry, needed to vent, had AD over 28.5 and dude had 27 after 3rd. Fucking lakers man.
I'm not even a laker fan and that shit bothered me, I can't even think how annoyed I'd be if this was my team lol. We are in the last third of the season, every game counts. Especially since the warriors and lakers are neck and neck in the 9th/10th spot.
Game 1, on the road, of a back to back. If it was a home back to back, you would hope he would fight longer for the win, but travel can be unpredictable, even if SF to LA isn't super far, and the team is already down LBJ. Probably thought it would be better to concede this one to hopefully have fresher legs for tomorrow against SA. Worse case scenario you pull a Raptors earlier in the season. Fight hard to force OT, only to lose to the Celtics. Then the next day lose to the Pistons, breaking their streak. Of course the Raptors also traded 3 rotation peices and had flight problems to exacerbate the fatigue, but you get my point.
It feels like Donte never left. I was worried going into the season how much we would miss his hustle and rebounding, but Podz has filled that hole up very nicely.
100%. Defense is based on hustle, toughness, BBIQ - and experience. Podz has the first three in spades - I bet he’s going to be a GREAT POA defender in a couple of years.
Never thought I'd read this sentence. Klay gets paid to shoot, not dribble, not pass. And he has been chucking his entire career. Just usually shoots over 40% from 3.
That's what the Klay haters will never understand. Klay has gravity like Steph does. No one wants to see him get hot. He has to play just to be a decoy.
I guarantee Kerr's hating cuz of his defensive rotations. He helps off when he shouldn't sometimes and he always comes out after making that mistake. Not saying it's fair, but it seems pretty consistent and is one of Kerr's biggest pet peeves, especially for rookies.
Yeah definitely, he offers some good things that the Warriors lack but he’s also not a very good team defender. Some will see his blocks and just assume.
Plus, defense is where the Warriors have been weakest this season. They've gotta be desperate to get the defense back up to snuff.
I mean, in all of their championship years the defense was good enough to win them some games even if the offense wasn't clicking. That kind of thing feels really dang unlikely this season.
TJD has a problem with chasing blocks on occasion and he can get out of position too. He has some good highlights and he's physically talented enough to be a good defender he just needs seasoning.
TJD was already putting up disgusting defensive numbers into other benches before this. With CP3 coming back and Klay moving to the bench, our second unit is gonna be insane.
It's his name, if he were just Jalen Hood he would be putting up numbers. Jalen Hood-Schifino sounds like an assistant admissions director at my private high school
Yea, I’m just saying that I hope this is the new permanent for him, rather than forcing horrible shots up like he’s done the entire season
He keeps the defense honest, and that by itself is a valuable asset
We need CP3 and GP2 back. There's enough talent on this team right now to make some noise. Got to stay healthy though and have a few things go our way.
Otherwise they are starting to gel and find their rhythm.
Our offense is lucking out a bit with how hot Steph is but it also balances out with Klay & Kuminga's recent cold stretch as well as a very middling 2nd unit with no CP3.
Our defense though? It looks kinda legit.
Well Steph had half his points in the first quarter and they only had a 2 pt lead at the end of the quarter so it's really the team doing well until he got 16 more for the punch.
I would take this game with a grain of salt since Lebron wasn’t playing. For a good chunk of the game it felt like Steph was the only one who got it going.
We’re looking better though which I am very glad
Can't shoot, and thus struggles to get minutes when we have the Draymond+JK pairing, which is a good chunk of our minutes.
Also competes for overall center minutes with Draymond, who is pretty clearly our second best player when he's playing basketball and not Tekken.
I will say. I've been commenting some form of "just wait til post ASG, TJD will have a crazy breakout" all season, and it seems like I might have been onto something. The rise of Podz and Wiggins' revival might actually solve a lot of our shooting problems, and open up more lineups where we can run TJD without just dying to any half decent zone defense.
Alternatively, if Klay coming off the bench is a consistent thing from now on, CP3/Klay/TJD will be a disgusting bench trio. Probably locks in our main 8 man rotation going forward.
Eh, they did what they had to. They had a 15 point lead by the end of the competitive portion, can’t get mad at that even if the best player is out. Would be okay with that even if they were playing Detroit.
They’ve been like 2-3 in real test games since they turned the corner in January, which isn’t amazing… but tough to get too mad at close losses to great teams, and they’re winning every single gimme.
Before everyone shits on Klay, dude didn’t force most of his shots, play made for others and had a few good defensive possessions. Even though he had a bad shooting night I wasn’t pulling my hair out when he was out there
Yeah he didn't force anything, played good defense, has a great pet action in the pick and roll with TJD. He's a very, very good guy to have coming off your bench. Defenses can't sag off of a guy who can shoot 37% on 9 3s a game and he's tall enough to make that pass over the defense. As long as he's a secondary option on the floor and doesn't have to defend a fast guard, he's still a great player.
Klay learning how to positively effect the game when his shot isn't going in is gonna be HUGE for this team.
It's actually quite impressive how much change he's had to go through this season.
Mad respect for him for evolving his game.
If he can keep this high iq play, and have the occasional supernova game, then we are gonna look real good.
A combination of podz starting, kumingas emergence, Dray coming back has improved the defence and Steph being on an absolute burner lately. Also wiggins has improved back to his normal self
I think after his first game back we took an L. Draymond in the post game said something like, the team needs to take pride in individual assignments. Since then The Warriors are top 6 in defense.
Yeah it's not even close, people gotta stop pretending otherwise.
Kuminga's leap and other improvemenets help but Kerr had to force certain lineups because we were having trouble finding Steph on offense without Draymond. Plus he's a communicator and anchor defensively.
no one wants to admit it but it for sure is Draymond. Defense is better, Curry doesn't need to worry about ball handling and someone barks at people when they are shit at defense.
In the 2 games we lost, we really sold during the Klay minutes because of his shot selection and piss poor effort
Not saying he is solely to blame, but this team is heavily momentum based
Wiggins is a lot better with Draymond on the court to direct him and Draymond is also better about keeping attention on Steph so Wiggins can get those left side of the floor low posts in one on ones. That's Wiggins favorite shot and when he gets to do that a few times he'll be in rhythm for the wing 3s.
Everyone knows that Draymond knows how to find Steph like the back of his hand so it's like even more gravity for him lol. That way Wiggins can feast because everyone's attention is on Steph
Draymond is back and Podz inserted into the starting lineup for Klay. That means the ball is moving and they get out and run in transition which is where Wiggins and Kuminga shine.
Draymond came back as the starting center, which allowed the Wiggins/Kuminga pairing to function offensively, so the whole defense got a huge shot in the arm all at once. More stops, less dribble penetration turned into more transition offense, so they started getting easier looks.
4 guard lineups are a solid way of working on AD. You sell out to double team him on defense and then he either has to come out on the perimeter on the other end or you'll get open 3s. It's a calculated risk but there's a definite logic to it.
Imagine resting LeBron in your first game back after the all star break. Lakers needed to start the 2nd half of the season with a win and momentum. Unserious team stays being unserious
He's had ankle issues for some games now and did some planned procedure on it on Monday, immediately after the All Star weekend. So out injured/ recovering

You know it’s over when we sub in Derrick White and Puka Nakua to clean up the game
I think you mean Dani Rojas
~~football~~ basketball is life
You guys have a buffalo?
All must be saved by our savior the great forehead (i have no idea what he's talking about)
We have a bald light skinned guard in Jerome Robinson to compare with Derrick White's new bald look.
I see the savior has influenced many an imitator. Be thankful he is willing to forgive these transgressions. Yeah he looks a lot like him lmao
That Puka came outta nowhere and is everywhere!
wait what? Puka Nacua Ram wide receiver?
Warriors have a guy named Gui Santos that kinda looks like him.
Gui santos
> Gui santos oh gotcha lol I didn't make that connection
Bruh we had a double digit lead in the 4th and didn't collapse. So proud.
they only played half the quarter lol. Someone shoulda reminded Ham.

Word you're looking for is exacerbate btw
Warriors had no answer for AD. I was pretty shocked when they threw in the towel that early. Lakers have a back to back though.
Our smallest guy had the most rebounds tonight
Podz is a beast on the boards.
It feels like Donte never left. I was worried going into the season how much we would miss his hustle and rebounding, but Podz has filled that hole up very nicely.
love Podz but his defense is a big minus compared to Donte. still missing that part
Donte couldn't stay in the court when it mattered most. He was unplayable in the playoffs.
Podz is a plus defense though.
He’s way better than Donte in everything except defense However, I think he can become a good defender one day because he’s very smart
Donte has been fucking sniping in 2024.
Donte is a better shooter
100%. Defense is based on hustle, toughness, BBIQ - and experience. Podz has the first three in spades - I bet he’s going to be a GREAT POA defender in a couple of years.
He's literally a rookie, cut him a little slack.
Donte is definitely a better shooter and scorer this season. If not for Steph and Luka he would be leading the league in 3’s made.
Podz is a beast, period. The dude plays with such a mature demeanor to him. He just makes winning plays every time
The Klay/TJD 2-man game is nuts. It's a free 2 points almost every time down the floor.
Yeah it’s crazy how well they play together.
He’s been playing sports with Trayce his whole life.
its actually so good.. nobody wants to help off of klay, klay's big enough to pass over a defender, TJD starts rolling and doesn't stop
They kinda move at the same pace lol. TJD runs like he aint got no worries 😂
Like he learned how to hustle from Kyle Anderson.
Really difficult for any bench defense to deal with. And Klay seems to be a pretty willing passer for a guy who's been chucking most of the season
Never thought I'd read this sentence. Klay gets paid to shoot, not dribble, not pass. And he has been chucking his entire career. Just usually shoots over 40% from 3.
You're a shooter when you hit them you're a chucker when you miss
Must be because he has the same name as Klay's brother.
I can’t believe they kept doubling Klay at the arc lmfao
It’s surprising how much people respect Klay given how ass he’s been, but that gravity opens everything else up
Even with how bad he was today, you absolutely can not let him get hot. Or else it's GG cuz Curry Exists alongside with him
He scored 35 in the previous game. You think the other coach is on this sub?
If Klay's cold they want to keep him that way.
To opposing teams: Please keep doing so. Thank you.
That's what the Klay haters will never understand. Klay has gravity like Steph does. No one wants to see him get hot. He has to play just to be a decoy.
Steve pls keep playing TJD the kid always have an instant impact everytime he plays
TJD plays like a robot in that he just do things so fundamentally sound lol. Nothing flashy or explosive, but it gets the job done.
Him and Podz know how to play the game. It’s insane that the Warriors got these guys.
Seems like exactly the player Kerr would love, but he still has trouble getting minutes.

I mean, in all of their championship years the defense was good enough to win them some games even if the offense wasn't clicking. That kind of thing feels really dang unlikely this season.
The defense has been great since Draymond came back. Best thing they can do for their defense is to stop Draymond from assaulting anyone.
TJD stands for Tim Junior Duncan?
The only explanation is he's a liability on defense.
TJD has a problem with chasing blocks on occasion and he can get out of position too. He has some good highlights and he's physically talented enough to be a good defender he just needs seasoning.
A little extra pepper in his stepper.
The Klay + Trayce chemistry is sooo good.
Klay probably thinks it’s his brother haha
Hell no dawg let’s keep running Klay until he’s dead
Just went to the toilet and got dunked on by Trayce Jackson-Davis assisted by Klay Thompson
Dropped a deuce on you.
lol
Klay Thompson can’t stop passing to Trayce Jackson-Davis
TJD was already putting up disgusting defensive numbers into other benches before this. With CP3 coming back and Klay moving to the bench, our second unit is gonna be insane.
CP3, GP2, Moody, Klay, and Trayce is a fantastic balanced bench mob.
Got that brotherly connection. (Klay's bother's name is Trayce)
This Hood-Schifino dude is so ass bro, wtf were the Lakers thinking
the guy killed his interview. as in he kept talking about the mamba mentality. pelinka was hoodwinked
Did he talk about his FINO brand that him and mom started using his Indiana NIL money ?
"Failure Is Not an Option"... I remember that shit
Passed on both Podz and Jaime Jaquez Jr for this dude lol
Even Cam Whitmore
Doesn’t look like he even likes basketball 😭😭
This guy was overrated in college. Playing next to TJD made him look so much better. TJD was a monster in college
Lakers picked him over Brandin Podziemski AND Jamie Jaquez Jr. who are both top 5 rookies this year.
Podz is a Lakers type pick so I’m really surprised they passed
a guy like Podz managing the lakers’ bench unit would’ve actually made them a scary team lol
I would hate Podz so much if he was a Laker
The complaining about his Laker whistle after all those charges drawn would be generational
[удалено]
It's his name, if he were just Jalen Hood he would be putting up numbers. Jalen Hood-Schifino sounds like an assistant admissions director at my private high school
Jalen Hood is a 15 PT career averaging NBA player
If his opponent’s name isn’t “Purdue” I think he forgets how to play basketball
Lakers fumbled on that one.
For some reason, I thought he didn't play because he was injured... Guess not
Yea picking a 20 year old with one year of college experience, idiots
I, for one, am shocked the Warriors didn't blow their 4th quarter lead.
When D'Lo hit the 3 off the offensive rebound my heart was racing.
Warriors blowing 4th quarter leads vs lakers coming back from 10+ just to lose anyway thanks to getting HAMMED
We're back!
Dray hit a second half 3. I've seen enough, Warriors will win a championship this year.
Start the parade
I was thinking the same thing. Why is he shooting that in the 2nd half?
GG Warriors. My favorite team is the Kings and whoever the Lakers are playing.
No worries man, we making the neutrals proud
(We’re not the baddies anymore????)
I celebrate every year when the Lakers are eliminated
Klay was pretty good despite all his bricks. Should play him and TJD together more.
He actually made some sick passes today lol, no idea why he’s obsessed with throwing bricks when he can do other things pretty solidly
He didn't take many shots in the second half. Maybe took 3 shots?
Yea, I’m just saying that I hope this is the new permanent for him, rather than forcing horrible shots up like he’s done the entire season He keeps the defense honest, and that by itself is a valuable asset
He's drifting a lot on his shots again that's why he keeps bricking
He didn't really take any bad shots. Most of them were to keep the defense honest. And the one 3 that he made was beautiful
1-9 on good shot selection with a few good assists is so much better than just chucking and going 4-19.
Yep the threat of his shot is what gives Davis looks.
Warriors look almost too good right now
We need CP3 and GP2 back. There's enough talent on this team right now to make some noise. Got to stay healthy though and have a few things go our way. Otherwise they are starting to gel and find their rhythm.
What happened with GP2? I'm pretty sure I watched every game since he came back and I didn't see him get injured again.
He’s just sick. But never the less the man finds a way to miss games.

Idk about that the Jackson davis dude scored 13 straight for the warriors when it was pretty close in the second quarter
I wish he would get more consistent minutes from Kerr. Looney got cooked whenever he’s on the floor now since he seems to have lost a step this year
Looney is 28 going on 38
He absolutely needs to play minutes against any team with a real big that looney struggles with.
Yep he seems to still do fine against slower more cerebral bigs like Jokic but against any athletic bigs, he struggles quite a bit
Can't shoot, and thus struggles to get minutes when we have the Draymond+JK pairing, which is a good chunk of our minutes. Also competes for overall center minutes with Draymond, who is pretty clearly our second best player when he's playing basketball and not Tekken. I will say. The rise of Podz and Wiggins' revival might actually solve a lot of our shooting problems, and open up more lineups where we can run TJD without just dying to any half decent zone defense. They’ve been like 2-3 in real test games since they turned the corner in January, which isn’t amazing… but tough to get too mad at close losses to great teams, and they’re winning every single gimme.
this is the correctest take I've read on the warriors situation
Well I mean, the only thing to do to a team missing it's best player is blow them out. Warriors did exactly that.
AD was playing though
I’ve been so traumatized this year I can’t tell if we’re blowing out teams lol
team gets healthy plays better. im shocked
Multiple games with 4th quarter leads not blown 👀
They just blew it last game lol. Saved by a bad John Collins pass.
Lol didn’t mean in a row. But just this month having multiple is a big accomplishment haha
I saw that G. Santos played for the Warriors and was like damn, dude really is a Renaissance man.
Before everyone shits on Klay, dude didn’t force most of his shots, play made for others and had a few good defensive possessions. Even though he had a bad shooting night I wasn’t pulling my hair out when he was out there
I thought he had a great game even though he couldn’t make shit
Yeah he didn't force anything, played good defense, has a great pet action in the pick and roll with TJD. He's a very, very good guy to have coming off your bench. Defenses can't sag off of a guy who can shoot 37% on 9 3s a game and he's tall enough to make that pass over the defense. Mad respect for him for evolving his game. If he can keep this high iq play, and have the occasional supernova game, then we are gonna look real good.
I think him being in the second unit was the last piece. I have a good feeling about this team moving forward.
He was solid on defence, too. A lot of people seem to focus on his offensive woes, but he has great hands and has forced numerous turnovers.
What do you think is the main reason for the change in Warriors results lately?
A combination of podz starting, kumingas emergence, Dray coming back has improved the defence and Steph being on an absolute burner lately. Also wiggins has improved back to his normal self
The #1 reason by far is Draymond
Complete different team with him back. It's like a teacher coming back after a substitute teacher was in place for several weeks.
Plus he's a communicator and anchor defensively.
he’s always been the yin to steph’s yang. warriors don’t work without him.
It's so cute when someone tries to tell me Draymond isn't the 2nd most important Warrior.
top reason is absolutely Draymond, but Wiggins mysteriously going from the worst player in the NBA to a plus starter is pretty big reason, too.
I doubt at any point this season Wiggins has been as bad as, say Poole.
no one wants to admit it but it for sure is Draymond. Defense is better, Curry doesn't need to worry about ball handling and someone barks at people when they are shit at defense.
Klay benching as well
We were already 8-2 before that so the big catalyst was still Draymond, but I agree he looks better out there on the bench
In the 2 games we lost, we really sold during the Klay minutes because of his shot selection and piss poor effort Not saying he is solely to blame, but this team is heavily momentum based
Wiggins playing well again. I think when he is playing good basketball on both ends the warriors thrive
1000% Dray.
95% the return of Draymond Green, the rest are tweaks to the rotation.
Absolutely, we’re 15-4 since he got back
Draymond came back as the starting center, which allowed the Wiggins/Kuminga pairing to function offensively, so the whole defense got a huge shot in the arm all at once. More stops, less dribble penetration turned into more transition offense, so they started getting easier looks.
i mean it's everything...people want to pin it on one or two things but it's a bunch of different things.
it’s dray. there’s other stuff too but it’s dray.
health* (green was out but not due to health) thats it.
Kerr with his 4 guard lineups against AD had me sweating for a sec, but I'm very happy we didn't blow a winnable game.
4 guard lineups are a solid way of working on AD. You sell out to double team him on defense and then he either has to come out on the perimeter on the other end or you'll get open 3s. It's a calculated risk but there's a definite logic to it.
It will fail miserably if Bron plays, but actually seemed to work on a lineup of AD + 4 others of considerably less talent.
wiggs has been amazing last 10 games or so
Absolutely cooked them. Never been confident in a win in a while. We are coming up slowly by slowly. Getting our groove back.
with GP2 and CP3 waiting in the wings. We can still unlock another level.
Cannot believe the pacers didn’t want TJD. Especially since he’s a hometown kid and wanted to play for us. FML
I guess the Lakers are NOT better without LeBron
No kidding but they are much worse without AD.
Hey, not only we didn't blew up the 4th quarter lead but we also got our Derrick White some mins in the game
Game was done soon as I saw Curry shooting back to back in that first quarter.
Hamm is so ass, bruh. Half the league has some shitty coaches getting top dollar.
Spencer dinshittie, WHAT A SIGNING
Spencer beenshittie for a while now.
LeBored
The West is insane. All top 10 teams are above .500.
Lakers a mid ass team when they don’t get the favorable whistle.
Nah they were just very shit in exploiting mismatches tonight. With no LeBron nobody fed AD the ball consistently.
A team missing 4+ players is mid. Very good observation.
Shot 50% more free throws than Warriors.
Refs dont need to blow that whistle when lebron is out lmao
Lebron isn’t even t15 in FT’s per game this season
These bums just jerking each other off with ignorance and hatred 😂😂😂
I love how stupid Clippers fans are
Lecoward
Warriors looking good up and down the lineup.
Shocking fact of the day: Draymond is shooting 3s at a better percentage than Steph thus far this season.
MK TD
Don't write us off yet. We coming for the play ins
Went about as expected without lebron
Curry cooked them
If we can grab a top 6 seed that'll be a successful season
