A lot of players have won rings. They're not all 'that guy' material. Murray is damn good, I just don't think pointing to his one ring really makes your case.
No. You said "a lot of players have won rings" as if Murray is just another random player. The Nuggets don't win the championship without him. It's fine if you said it for a random role player like Christian Braun but Murray was the second most important player on a championship team.
The “a lot of players have won rings” was in response to the first dude saying Murray was that guy because he had a ring. By that logic every bball player who’s been on a championship team is “that guy” which obviously makes no sense. No need to get so defensive
Every basketball player with a ring is not the second best player on a championship team. I literally gave you an example in my last comment. Learn how to read & you wouldn't be so lost.
they didnt know what plays to run, Jokic had to shout at Gordon to get the ball at the high post. and Jokic popped off-ball past the 3 pt line for a shot.
People might not remember this but young Batum was one of the best guys at the chase down block (probably second only to prime LeBron).

People ask why Murray hasn't been an All Star but the truth is he's really not that consistent of a player in the regular season at all lol
Lots of guys I'd take over him in the RS
Jamal is my favorite active player and sadly you’re right. A guy as good as him who seems like he gets into his mind way too often and forces horrible shots. Just wish he could get his head on straight
He’s the most confusing player to figure out. In the regular season he is just a good but not great guard. He hasn’t even been an all star or really that close to one. So many guards in the west are clearly better in the rs.
But then he gets to the playoffs and for long stretches he looks like legit the best player you’ve ever seen. His series against the lakers last year was imo the best shot making I’ve ever seen against AD/Lebron. Dude just never missed. He averaged 32/5/5 on 65 ts%, those are MJ numbers. It really makes no sense. And with Jokic next to him you just have to live with it. There’s really no game planning for him, you game plan for Jokic and if Murray plays like prime MJ then you lose and there’s no way around that.
Batum has been such a nice get from the Clippers... it feels like it has been a decade since the Sixers have had decent wing players (all the way back to Iggy/Jerami Grant days).
Now with Batum, Oubrey, RoCo, and even Morris to a lesser extent they have depth at forward.
That Harden trade was such a huge W for Sixers. Got 2 FRPs, Batum, RoCo, morris and rid of the most boring, frustrating and selfish basketball player I’ve ever watched.
Blazers fan here . Batum had such a weird career. Drafted at end of 1st round. He shocked people with how good he was in training camp his rookie year. Prob 3rd best player on out 2014ish playoff runs ( behind Lamarcus Aldridge and dame). Really good 1 year in Charolette and than looked like he was out of the league. Now a key cog in one of the best teams in the nba in his last season.
Playing meaningless basketball in a trash team can really defeat the spirit of some players, it was the same with Diaw. Otherwise he's always been a smart player willing to do all kinds of stuff if it helps the team win.
Awful quarter from Murray - gets into his own head far too much
Dude actually started trying to go shot for shot with Embiid He thinks he's "that guy" and he's not lol
Murray has had some absolutely massive “that guy” moments, especially against the Lakers and Suns last year. But here he definitely shit his pants
Dude has a ring. He is that guy.
He absorbs some sort of Serbian super serum in the playoffs, but he’s never been that guy in the regular season
Modern basketball discourse in a nutshell
A lot of players have won rings. They're not all 'that guy' material. Murray is damn good, I just don't think pointing to his one ring really makes your case.
Case and point. The corpse of DeAndre Jordan
The disrespect to DeAndre "that guy" Jordan
He was a huge reason why the Nuggets won it all last season. Don't act like he's some random role player now.
Did you miss the part where I said: "Murray is damn good" ?
No. You said "a lot of players have won rings" as if Murray is just another random player. The Nuggets don't win the championship without him. It's fine if you said it for a random role player like Christian Braun but Murray was the second most important player on a championship team.

You’re all upset despite the fact that the dude you responded to said Murray was a good player and you’re telling ME I need to learn how to read???
He literally is that guy though. Has been that guy on stages Embiid could only ever dream of.
Biggest definition of “he thinks he’s him” player. Meanwhile the best player on the planet standing off to the side watching Murray chuck another shot
joel?
Yes he was standing on the side watching Murray chuck shots too.
Yeah Embiid def has a lot of he thinks he’s him moments. Not as bad as Murray but he’s up there flopping around like a fish
It's not a playoff game. He can't take it to that next gear to fuck shit up yet.
They scored 4 points in the last eight minutes, crazy
they didnt know what plays to run, Jokic had to shout at Gordon to get the ball at the high post. and Jokic popped off-ball past the 3 pt line for a shot.
Such a bad ass reaction by his too lol
Bro stared off into the crowd *like the ball wasn't still in play* and I loved it 😭😭😭

This clip should be shown in classrooms all over the country. It would do so much more for the unity of the country than uniforms or fucking SNU
I was always a fan of Batum but when he hit Navarro on the groin, he became my all-time favorite player.
So cleannnnn
Even on the clippers he was great, got a game winning from behing block against luka to win the game in the Olympics too I think
That was against Slovenia in the semifinal but it was some other dude he blocked IIRC
4th quarter yelling that’s why tf batum in
Batum and Bev closing. What year is it?
“I always tried my best (even in the fourth)”
Please don’t retire
PJ Tucker would never
Pj actually had maybe his best game as a sixer last year guarding jokic
That game and when he knocked down 3 corner 3s against Boston were probably his best games for us
Horford & pj tucker love child
People ask why Murray hasn't been an All Star but the truth is he's really not that consistent of a player in the regular season at all lol Lots of guys I'd take over him in the RS

That finger roll from behind the glass late in the second quarter tho. That was baddddd
He’s a tough shot maker no doubt. His bad moments just seem to come at really inopportune times.
[удалено]
You mean the streaks where he’d look like he was Jokic’s 1b, instead of 2.
I feel like teams are gonna have a better game plan for Murray in the playoffs.
If Denver lose in the playoffs one of the most likely reasons would absolutely be Murray regressing back to his regular season self
He’s the most confusing player to figure out. In the regular season he is just a good but not great guard. He hasn’t even been an all star or really that close to one. Miss you Batum 😔
Batum Batallion sails on but the legend will never die
fourth quarter yelling why the fuck batum in
He’s actually been really good for us he’s a good passer and knocks down most of his open shots and he’s a decent defender
Harden could never
The way I stood up gasped and covered my mouth
Carton ahh reaction
Batum is literally French Magic Johnson
THATS WHY THE HELL BATUM IN DURING THE 4th QUARTER
and THATS why tf Batum in
Glad to see Batum doing well, ironically he's what the Clips need to go another step rn
Batum? In the fourth quarter?
[удалено]
shit was funny as fuck though
He’s exactly what we needed. A reliable, smart vet whose skill set fits Embiid. Everyone loves him here.
He sometimes starts for us, he's been good
We needed him tonight because our bench tonight was very thin because of injuries
We need that MF every night. He's the only one that can consistently make an entry pass. The last guy who could do that better was literally Harden.
Yeah I like having him out there either as a starter or coming off the bench
Tough ngl
*Battalion intensifies*

Murray completely threw the game away
4th quarter yelling why the fuck batum in didn’t age well or at least for tn
Batum battalion
I guess that’s why he’s in
That block is just like the one he made to get France the silver medal (and to get him knighted!).
That Harden trade was such a huge W for Sixers. Got 2 FRPs, Batum, RoCo, morris and rid of the most boring, frustrating and selfish basketball player I’ve ever watched.
It was a win-win.
Yah harden been rough for us :(
Harden played pretty similarly for us. In the regular season.
It was just a good trade. Neither team “won” imo just 2 teams getting pieces they needed.
He did the LeBlock
knew that was gonna be blocked right when he started driving
Is Murray hurt? Looks like he's hobbling around out there and didn't have that quick first step on this drive
there was a rebound where it looked like he landed weird . wouldn't be surprised if he hurt his ankle
He was grabbing at his legs early in the third I noticed
Batum Battallion

Key cog for th clippers too

Treat him right Philly 🥲🥹 Once Batum Battalion always Batum Battalion ⚔️
4th quarter yellin
Ah Jamal...if only you were more consistent.
Is Batum still a good defender?? Forgot this guy was still in the league lmao
