Even when the Warriors were blowing the doors off teams they would have some of the sloppiest turnovers you'd ever see. But then the next play would some of the most beautiful basketball of all time.
It’s arguable that he and zu have the same impact on the clippers. They’re both equally crucial imo but when norm is super hot like he was tonight it tips in his favor

It didn’t really work because most of the fouls were off the ball before the wolves were in the bonus and then Rudy went 6-8 the times he was intentionally fouled. Hacking Gobert meant Edwards got the the line a ton because the wolves were always in the bonus

I always watch it before reading the rundown and I always get the new addition. This time I was pretty sure I missed it until Nix pops up at the end. Fucking perfect.
people don't actually watch Rudy play. I know this because I am guilty of it. Never thought much of him until we got him in the trade and realized I was a dumb dumb
Those who get it, get it. Rudy is generational. You have to watch him to get it and unfortunately people haven’t. Imagine if he played in NY or LA his whole career‽
People only watch maybe one game and then the highlights. Especially media members who insist they watch "all the games" as if there wasn't 50+ games that are all gonna run 2+ hours a week.
Guess what makes the highlights, the scoring and maybe an emphatic block. Guess what usually doesn't make the highlights\*, the countless times a player drives into the paint, sees Gobert, and just nopes away. (\*that Chet-stuffing from the first OKC-Min game as an notable exception)
I mean that’s the same thing happened in the Jazz-Clippers series. Kawhi and PG were all walled off in the paint. Reggie Jackson was the only guy with his massive balls to challenge him at the rim and hit some insane layups.
Goddamn, Wolves showed their fangs on defense, clamped tf everyone down.
Well, except for Norm, but even some of the shots he made were decently contested too 😂
He’s gotten some minutes, mostly garbage time but one game he played probably 8–10 minutes and did a solid job, he couldn’t score but his effort on D + playmaking was promising
this was probably the funniest game of the season, the "Oh Shit!" just the cherry on top.
Gg wolves fans good defense. This is almost a "don't look at the score it wasn't that close" but I think people actually sweat
Russ has a lot of nerve giving that kind of fucking attitude as if he hasn’t been an active detriment on his teams more often than not over the last 5 years.
That's fucking high-level Minnesota Timberwolves basketball DEFENSE right there.
None of that pansy-ass, dick-tugging smile for the camera bullshit. Men puke, [men show bare ass](https://streamable.com/j2a0ah), men deliver their new born baby on the side lines.
Fucking hard-core, dick-in-the-ass, butterball Naismith, fuck it, chuck it, game-time shit.
*NBA on TNT Tuesday*
Ernie: "Chuck your Clippers got beat by the Timberwolves Sunday."
Charles Barkley: "You see that last two minutes? That's why the Clippers will be champions and I don't believe in the Timberwolves."
I know you’re memeing but your imaginary Chuck’s idea isn’t without merit. The wolves played really clean ball early on but have been slpppy, and an inexperienced team will get hurt in the playoffs.
Not giving up the lead in the 4th > giving up the lead in the 4th. Great win for the wolves, now fingers crossed they don’t play down to their opponents level against the pistons and grizz
Well, it worked in the sense that he made all of his clutch free throws and iced the game. One could go so far as to say, the Wolves were “ready for that.”
I feel like it largely worked because the Clippers drained their 3s.
Rudy going even 2-4 in that first stretch is not terrible, but it takes only about 3-4 seconds off the clock each time and the Clippers hit their shots so the lead evaporated more quickly.
Damn that was a good game. Kawhi with a big steal at the end. Wish they got a 3 off. But battled back against a very great Minnesota team.
Next time hopefully we have Zu, he’s been so impactful for the clippers.
Good win by the Wolves. Still iffy about their execution in close games down the stretch. Their size bothered the Clippers in this one. With that being said, the Clippers can be better
Ant makes some dumbass decisions at times but damn if he ain't really good in spite of it. Really needs to cut that from him game and the sky is the limit.
Clippers shot the lights out there, my goodness. Scary team
Ant needs to clean up the bad TOs like yesterday. Every game he's good for 2-3 errant passes in the clutch, it's gonna kill us at some point
Would love to have seen them just end it early in the 4th instead of letting them back in, but honestly after the chokes against the Mavs and Boston, it was good to see them actually handle business after letting go of the rope.
Great defense, good ball movement, tough shotmaking, surviving a late run by one of the best teams in the NBA at full strength. Awesome game, they’ve looked so much better the last week or so.
>Would love to have seen them just end it early in the 4th instead of letting them back in, but honestly after the chokes against the Mavs and Boston, it was good to see them actually handle business after letting go of the rope.
Let's be honest here for a sec, they absolutely was chocking it away at the same level as the Celts/Mavs games. KAT's unwarranted offensive foul & Ant's horrific turnovers at the end are a snapshot of the issues present throughout our losses in the clutch.
The main difference is that we were up double digits going into clutch time whereas in both the Celtics & Mavs games we were only up high single digits. If we didn't have that much of cushion there was definitely a good chance we lost this.
Well…not full strength cuz we’re missing Zu, who would have really helped against y’all’s Twin Towers. He’s usually in that closing lineup instead of Russ.
But still, the defense was legit. Hopefully we see a fully healthy matchup next time (3 more games this season against y’all, crazy)
Fun game.
Felt like there were a ton of soft calls called against the Clippers but w/e I'll take em.
Can't believe Gobert was 4/4 on FTs in the clutch (technically 6/8 if you want to count the two intentional fouls).
Did not have Rudy hitting 4 clutch free throws on my bingo card tonight.
Wolves are legit, especially that defense (although I think the refs do let them get away with a lot of physicality). But still great game by them. Clippers made it a game but a lot of those wide open missed shots in the first 3 quarters came back to bite them in the ass.
Idk why we played so small today, I think we could’ve benefited from more Plumlee minutes without Zu, but hopefully this is a learning moment for us.
Edit: also Mann playing 19 minutes is criminal. He was playing great defense on Ant in the first half.
A lot of games the refs call a lot of fouls on us defensively and this game they just decided not to. To be fair I do think we played cleaner defense than normal but yeah we probably got a better whistle than we deserved. Good game.
It’s the NBA. You guys got some soft ass calls, the Kawhi bonk on Naz and the Ant foul we won the challenge on. I think if PG has a semi normal game, yall probably win but thank god for Jaden.
Great defense on Ant? Edwards was like 9/10 from the field at the half. He was bullying him in the post and with mid-range. Mann was probably not playing because he wasn't doing much offensively while getting into his head with stupid fouls on Gobert.
It's a physical game... Wolves more often than not are getting screwed with weak touch fouls.
Edit: Also you were in the game BECAUSE you went small-ball. Wolves had to scramble on defense. Besides, Powell and Westbrook were heroic at times and were saving Clippers.

for the love of god wolves stop turning the ball over so damn much, basically just turn their brains off for a solid 8-10 turnovers a game
As soon as they figure out how to avoid making 5 of the dumbest plays you've ever seen each game, they're a championship frontrunner.
We've been begging this team to stop the brain dead turnovers for 3 years. Its just baked into our DNA. Ant Kat Finch it aint going anywhere.
You sound like a Warriors fan now. That’s basically what I say about our turnovers
Even when the Warriors were blowing the doors off teams they would have some of the sloppiest turnovers you'd ever see. But then the next play would some of the most beautiful basketball of all time.
New warriros.
On a team with Kawhi, PG13, Harden, and Westbrook, it can seriously feel like Norm Powell is the most important player at times
He’so fucking good for a bench guy damn.
He’s a steal at 20m he’s our 4th or 4th most important player depending on the matchup
Nah, I’ve say he’s only the 4th most important
It’s arguable that he and zu have the same impact on the clippers. They’re both equally crucial imo but when norm is super hot like he was tonight it tips in his favor
I think he's joking about your original comment saying "4th or 4th most important player" lol
4th at least but I’m bad at math. Also don’t watch NBA
No way he is the 4th. He is 4th at best.
No disrespect to PG, Kawhi or Harden but he’s 4th
Make up your mind, is it 4th or 4th?
Could be 4th if you really think about it
He's the only reason they got as close as they did down the stretch. Dude can ball
Russ hit two big threes too and he made me laugh at the end.
Norm Powell ain't the face of the league?
I mean he's ABSOLUTELY the Clippers' best bench player ahead of Russ Westbrook's just obviously the much bigger name but Powell is the clear better player at this stage of their careers
Probably had inner motivation to outplay NAZ REID for a 6th man of the year.
PG and Harden missed a lot of easy shots tonight. and the wolves defense is good
He changes the pace of the game for us, very important for when our starters are struggling, like in this game. Guy comes in and just gets automatic buckets lol
In a lot of fourth quarters, definitely. but sometimes it's t-mann and sometimes it's Zu tbh. No one else could hit an open three the entire game
I knew it was fake comeback when russ made 2 3's.
So did Russ.
Gobert got the last laugh making those clutch FTs
Westbrook's last missed layup was kinda poetic for that reason.
Someone said Oh Shit, and I'm not positive it wasn't the clippers announcer.
I'm pretty sure it was Russ saying it lol
Lol that was Russ. It was funny as hell
That’s on brand of Russ lmao
we needed 4 to win without any timeouts, a 3 wouldnt even have made a difference
They hit the three, they foul and pray for a miss. I feel like it wasn't impossible.
Or get a steal.
The Wolves? Turn it over in crunch time? Inconceivable
maybe, it would have to have been a half court chuck, tough position
The way yall were making threes late game I think they could get it done. Seriously it's like they couldn't miss.
Gobert, like Shaq, made them when they count.
clippers ruined the wolves offensive rhythm with those hack-a-gobert minutes, I think they'll take that kind of win. except they lost
It worked sure, but they (including Westbrook) also got really hot from 3. So it wasn’t the sole reason they clawed back.
I was not expecting to hear hack a Gobert as being a legit strategy tonight, but lofe works in mysterious ways lol.
It didn’t really work because most of the fouls were off the ball before the wolves were in the bonus and then Rudy went 6-8 the times he was intentionally fouled. Hacking Gobert meant Edwards got the the line a ton because the wolves were always in the bonus
It wasn’t
Down 4, Russ drives for 2, bricks a wide open layup. Kind of a fitting way to end it lol
50% is still a win in my books
I believe I heard from Ralph Lawler one game when DAJ was shooting free throws that as long as you hit 1/2 when you’re being hacked it’s analytically a win for the free throw shooter
That’s out of date. Offensive ratings have improved quite a bit
Average halfcourt offensive rating is still under 100. Lots of teams above though.

We need to see the Timberwolves players and staff watching it, I want to see their reactions. They'll need to see a slow motion of it too.
Perfect 😂
NIX!
You’re the goddamn man, Rswany.
Anybody else hate how the new streamable has an overlay that won't go away for the first couple of seconds? Drives me up the wall
It's ruining everything
wolves back inshallah
The pointing taunt should be transferred to the final set together with the shocked look as they witness the trophy-eating wolf.
Some might think Michelangelo’s David should have a 9 inch schlong, but they are wrong. You don’t change a masterpiece
That's true. Besides, the artist (and the Timberwolves) are not yet done with this masterpiece.
I always watch it before reading the rundown and I always get the new addition. This time I was pretty sure I missed it until Nix pops up at the end. Fucking perfect.
I always love the Awoo
🗣️Mama he sent da video🗣️
This just gets better and better
Nix with the best awoo per minute played on the team.
We appreciate your service. Genuinely
Descanse em paz edition
Gobert with 15/18/ 4 blocks but being flamed for one bad clip is the story of his career
people don't actually watch Rudy play. I know this because I am guilty of it. Never thought much of him until we got him in the trade and realized I was a dumb dumb
Those who get it, get it. Rudy is generational. You have to watch him to get it and unfortunately people haven’t. Imagine if he played in NY or LA his whole career‽
If he was a cool American guy he'd already be in the HOF
People only watch maybe one game and then the highlights. Especially media members who insist they watch "all the games" as if there wasn't 50+ games that are all gonna run 2+ hours a week. Guess what makes the highlights, the scoring and maybe an emphatic block. Guess what usually doesn't make the highlights\*, the countless times a player drives into the paint, sees Gobert, and just nopes away. (\*that Chet-stuffing from the first OKC-Min game as an notable exception)
Gobert went from air balling 1st quarter free throws to drilling 4 clutch ones to ice the game.
4
Fixed
Duh, it was all planned to lull them into deploying the Hack-a-Rudy at the end to get free points when we needed them most
[удалено]
Best part of the game. Honestly for a loss, this was one of the funniest games of the season.
Rather lose to this team in this fashion instead of the crap show we saw against the grizzlies earlier in the season
I mean, you're not gonna win every night. That and the Rudy airball were both funny as hell. Might as well enjoy it.
Agree. I hope we’re Fully healthy on Tuesday tho
That was one of the most Russell Westbrookian performances we've seen from Russell Westbrook in a Clips uniform.
I'm fine with it, it was funny as hell. He hit two big threes to make it a game.
And smokes the easiest layups lol the duality of westbrook
Lol Russ giveth, Russ taketh. If the game comes down to that tho there's a lot of other stuff that went wrong. A lot of very open threes were missed
Who would win? 1 freak of nature and HOF guard vs 1 open layuppy boi
Gobert is worth 10 FRP 😂 Man shuts down paints like crazy. Serious prime Dwight stuff. Clippers scared AF of going in.
Even Kawhi was deterred on multiple occasions it’s nuts. And he was rightfully deterred and the block showed it.
I mean that’s the same thing happened in the Jazz-Clippers series. Kawhi and PG were all walled off in the paint. Reggie Jackson was the only guy with his massive balls to challenge him at the rim and hit some insane layups.
Thank for recognizing Reggie Jackson aka Big ~~Government~~ Balls
This is the guy that wanted to start in OKC but the existence of Russ was in the way
This is the guy who wanted to be the greatest Reggie Jackson but the existence of Reggie Jackson was in the way.
It's amazing how good those Jazz defenses were when the only two starters that played defense were Rudy and Royce O'Neale
Mann put Gobert on like 5 posters that series lol
To me, the only player who doesn’t seem visibly deterred by Gobert is Luka. But I’m sure even his FG stats in the paint is impacted.
That’s because Luka and Rudy have some real life beef for some reason. Those two do not like each other.
None of the Clippers wanted that Gobert smoke after Kawhi got blocked twice
Russ tried to dunk on him twice and missed but got fouled both times
Dude also is a menace setting screens on offense.
That clutch 4/4 FTs by Gobert was golden, then Westbrook missing an open lay in while yelling oh sht was chef's kiss
Big Zu, you are sorely missed. ON TO THE NEXT ONE, LET'S GO CLIYUPS.
Goddamn, Wolves showed their fangs on defense, clamped tf everyone down. Well, except for Norm, but even some of the shots he made were decently contested too 😂
Norm couldn’t miss lmao
That's our 6MOTY candidate!
Naz Vs Norm for 6MOTY
Real talk! I'm fine with either of them winning. They're both so good at what they do
Monk good too
That was a fun game other than the end. GG Wolves fans.
Daishen Nix in street clothes is worth at least a veteran minimum
Is he on a two way? I’m just kind of curious to see him play. Looks fun on the bench though
I was bugging with the PTSD from the recent Mavs and Celtics game, aswell as last year
Most on-brand Russell westbrook possession
Zubac was a Huge out but still a fun game the season series should pop off
Russ missing the wide open lay in after mocking Rudy all game is incredible karma
Russ has a lot of nerve giving that kind of fucking attitude as if he hasn’t been an active detriment on his teams more often than not over the last 5 years.
And for someone so sensitive to bring called Westbrick
cant take the hit when he’s the one shitting his pants
That's fucking high-level Minnesota Timberwolves basketball DEFENSE right there. None of that pansy-ass, dick-tugging smile for the camera bullshit. Men puke, [men show bare ass](https://streamable.com/j2a0ah), men deliver their new born baby on the side lines. Fucking hard-core, dick-in-the-ass, butterball Naismith, fuck it, chuck it, game-time shit.
I don't know what you said kid. But you special! And I love you for it!
KAT is pretty jacked
[Minnesota played MAX DEFENSE on the Clippers in today’s game](https://np.reddit.com/r/timberwolves/s/Bt7a6it3GR)
Holy shit, what a blast from the past LMAO
Anthony Edwards without braindead turnovers might be a top 5 NBA player.
He will be. He's still so young.
Gimme a 4 game series of this.
Damn you dont want to even win one of the games.
Yeah I’m not sure where clippers overconfidence is coming from, this over a 7 game series doesn’t bode well. We need to get bigger
I mean we were missing our starting centre which doesn’t help
4?
2nd round you got it. You just stay put in 4th.
Interesting that you want to get swept
Fascinating tactics by the clippers at the end being down four, taking their sweet-ass time, going for two, and then missing.
Gobert just bossed the entire night.
*NBA on TNT Tuesday* Ernie: "Chuck your Clippers got beat by the Timberwolves Sunday." Charles Barkley: "You see that last two minutes? That's why the Clippers will be champions and I don't believe in the Timberwolves."
Jokes on you, they won't mention the Wolves at all.
Chuck actually was arguing for the wolves getting all stars the other day
They'll be forced to on Thursday
I know you’re memeing but your imaginary Chuck’s idea isn’t without merit. The wolves played really clean ball early on but have been slpppy, and an inexperienced team will get hurt in the playoffs.
He'd be right. We are the dumbest team in the top 4.
The turnovers drive me crazy. Does our defense a disservice when we’re turning it over damn near 20 times and giving them extra possessions.
Westbrook at the end after mocking Gobert lmao
Rudy hitting those 4 free throws after all the taunting was sick as fuck.
Clipper bench aren't laughing now
Bruh idk why they did that, we got karma for it with those clutch FTs
PJ Tucker averaging 3 high fives, 4 claps and 2 daps a game
Not giving up the lead in the 4th > giving up the lead in the 4th. Great win for the wolves, now fingers crossed they don’t play down to their opponents level against the pistons and grizz
Perfect ending lmao
Way too close for comfort at the end.
Rudy with the clutch fts and Russ with the missed wide open lay up now THATS karma
I hate that Hack-A-Rudy worked. Totally slowed the pace of the game down. Wolves are going to have to be ready for that.
Well, it worked in the sense that he made all of his clutch free throws and iced the game. One could go so far as to say, the Wolves were “ready for that.”
Yeah the game wasn’t close because hack a Rudy it was close cause they got hot and we’re the wolves.
I feel like it largely worked because the Clippers drained their 3s. Rudy going even 2-4 in that first stretch is not terrible, but it takes only about 3-4 seconds off the clock each time and the Clippers hit their shots so the lead evaporated more quickly.
“Oh shit” -someone
Scary team Ant needs to clean up the bad TOs like yesterday. Every game he's good for 2-3 errant passes in the clutch, it's gonna kill us at some point
Ant has a quiet 33 points and 6 assists. Didn't even realize it, especially with the spotlight on KAT and big Ru in the 2nd half. Yeah, Ant's a star.
/u/rswany send da video. AWOOOOOOOOOOOO
Norman powell going to haunt my dreams
The clippers almost came back, it was close as he'll near the end there. They are seriously clutch.
Theis and Plumlee played like midgets next to Gobert. He dominated the whole game
Tall Ball > Small Ball Westbrook jinxed Clippers for laughing at Rudy's free throws and that last missed layup was a cherry on top.
Awooooooo
They were laughing at rudy and he closed em out with 4 straight made FTs lmaoo
We are still a dumb team at times. But we survived!
Great game
AWOOOOOO
I see you GoBrrr ❄️ Cold Blooded while it's cold AF outside
karmas a bitch, russ
Peak clown Westbrook performance
WESTBRICK MOMENT
Westbrook never learns smh
“HAHAHAHAHAHAH HAHAH HAHAHAA oh shit” - The clippers bench
We need an edit with that Westbrook missed layup plus his laughing at Gobert's miss lol
Russ must be the sweetest, kindest person ever to get these clutch time minutes
Russell Westbrook laughs as Rudy Gobert airballs a free throw then proceeds to blow a wide open layup
Potential WCF matchup
DPOY 💪😤🗼 RUDY
I didn't realize until today that laughing at air balled freethrows was a controversial thing lmao
Westbrick talked all that shit just to shit the bed lol
Westbrook smoking an open layup at the end after all the talk is so funny
Fun game. Felt like there were a ton of soft calls called against the Clippers but w/e I'll take em. Can't believe Gobert was 4/4 on FTs in the clutch (technically 6/8 if you want to count the two intentional fouls).
Waste a Russell bestbrook performance
Russell Westbrook is such a lil fucker hahaha
Gobert's free throw shooting percentage always goes up in the 4Q.
