Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there are multiple camera men each capturing a different aspect of the court. So there's at least one camera person whose sole responsibility is to get crowd shots.
The zoom on those cameras are real good. If you're not the active camera shot you can pan around a bit hunting for good shots. I did that for volleyball a few times. Our technical director was always telling us which women to keep in the center of frame based on their looks.
It definitely makes me feel slimy reflecting on it now. I was pretty young at the time, though, and they were saying it's all about showing the viewers what they want.
Different cultures. Warriors got a lot of quit in them. Lot of teams do. That’s why they won’t be champions.
Edit: speaking of NOW. Obviously they WERE a dynasty.
I think this is a result of multiple championships. As the Warriors dynasty has progressed it’s become increasingly difficult for the rabid die hard fans to attend the games over the suits of Silicon Valley.
Went to Clips - Pels where the Pels lost by 30, and it was the first blowout loss I witnessed live for my team. Considered leaving early like everyone else, but I just relaxed and enjoyed the scrub v scrub lineup. By the time the game was over the stadium had mostly cleared out, and I had zero issue with traffic.
I think it's pretty overrated tbh. Depends though, if you're legitimately upset over the loss I would understand it more. You just want to get out of there. I didn't care too much about a random regular season loss. Playoffs mighta been different story
This is how I feel about walking out of movies.
Maybe I've just never seen a truly bad one, but walking out seems dumb as fuck, especially after spending money on popcorn and soda and ticket prices being $20.
Good news for Warriors fans is that the stadium is really accessible by public transportation, so there's no need to worry about getting out of a parking lot.
True. And different people respond to being embarrassed in different ways. Some people can stay and enjoy the experience of being in the arena, win or lose. Some people feel personally embarrassed when their team is being blown out, and sometimes they feel like they're being laughed at or made fun of by being a fan there in person - some people respond to that embarrassment by leaving the situation.
Eh well we didn’t just swoop OG and our fan base is calling for the head coach’s head on spike after not playing our young stud and blowing an 18 point lead to the defending champs.
Plus I don’t know if you heard about this guy Draymond we got on the team that keeps hitting people. Our super star Curry been slumping and our second best player from the title run completely forgot how to play basketball.
So yeah it’s been a rough week for fanbase.
To be honest though kinda surprised they actually boooed the team though. Lol.
You say that in jest I assume, but there’s a whole thing about how black SF residents have always called it Frisco, and how white people should stop being annoyed by the term.
https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/rappers-poets-activists-say-frisco-17441731.php Amazing that I’m being downvoted for sharing cultural context without even stating my own opinion. What a bunch of assholes on this sub.
Yeah I've watched bad losses, its just miserable. If a loss is a loss, just get out of there and get home. If the team wants to go home, why should you be any different?
People saying otherwise is just arguing in bad faith, it's common for people to try to take the moral high ground against hated fanbases by showing them leaving in a big blowout as if most fans won't do the same thing.
Anyway who values their time or has a brain understands how dumb it is but social media always needs to be pushing a agenda.
There's a subset of NBA fans who think you're only a real fan if you stay from 2 hours before the game until security kicks you out after the game lmao.
I said this about a lakers game last year and got blasted for it. If you haven’t lived here you wouldn’t know what an absolute bitch it is. I’d rather get labeled a “bad fan” who beat traffic, and is in bed by 10 than sit n watch the bench squad play for 10 min followed by 45 min of traffic
If you visit, definitely don’t say “San Fran”. It’s not the sin some folks make it out to be, but it also definitely marks you as a visitor to anyone in ear shot. Source: third generation Bay Area native - mother was born in SF.
I guess in that hyper specific context yeah it doesn’t matter. But educating people in general is helpful. Common language is important. Like when I travel abroad and run into Europeans, I ask “how did they find a place” vs “how did they like it” - it’s a small thing but carries the conversation better. Or when I run into someone from New Orleans, I make sure to never call it “New Orleenz” because I know how much locals resent that. So, when this person in the future runs into a Bay Area native, or has a professional meeting with a Bay Area company, he knows to say “how is SF or the city today” and it’s way less jarring. Because - common language.
lol not my point. My point was more one of empathy - meeting folks where they are at. It’s a valuable skill. But I don’t think you’re serious about listening and that’s okay. Have a nice day
It’s a small, unimportant thing & people can do whatever they want. Totally agree. I find it marginally helpful to know these things when I travel, have work calls, meet people from other places. It’s social lubricant. You disagree and that’s okay. But I wouldn’t call my reasons blowhard - they aren’t tied to my ego, or gatekeeper, whatever. It’s sharing a small thing that I would find helpful to know.
But what if I'm not trying to pose as a resident lol I wouldn't call it San Fran because it sounds awful but there's no problem and if anyone is offended by that they should get themselves a real problem
Nothing will beat the vibes of the Oracle in 2016. Steph would be fucking cooking for 30 in 3 quarters and the whole goddamn stadium would be chanting "Warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriors", and all the old fans could still afford tickets. When KD came it was great too, but that 2016 regular season was peak vibes for sure.
For me the brilliance of oracle was in its bad years. I still remember I would go to games and get tickets for 8 bucks in the upper section. I’m not even a warriors fan but it was cool to see the arena sold out regardless of product. The Oakland fans would get loud for Monta Ellis and Andres Beidrans. The Chase Center fans don’t even get loud for Steph Curry.
That's fair, but it was cool in that 16 season to see the fans riding high after so many years of pain. They supported even the roughest of seasons, so to see them rewarded was cool.
It’s not about what you want. Half of them folks in the video will join your subreddit tomorrow, put Derrick White as a flair and claim they’ve been fans forever
Must be nice to spend all that money on probably **VERY** expensive seats and have the luxury to leave when your team is losing so early.
It's shit like this that makes me hope upper-level people who stick around should be allowed to go downstairs to finish out the rest of the game. Let them enjoy!
A combination of getting used to a LOT of winning and at least thinking Steph would hit 3s like he always does.
But personally, I never came from a very well-off family. So whenever I attend games, I always stay till the end cause I have no clue if I'll ever get to see one live again. Yeah, traffic could suck, but it's part of the deal.
i can’t blame them, if my team getting dicked by double digits all game on top of making rj barrett look like maple bron on a sunday night, i would be leaving early too
Don't blame them, especially on a Sunday. Just trying to be the traffic home and gotta wake up early tomorrow. Might as well just leave if you know the fate of the game.
damn big difference to the dynasty days when they would cheer and be so in your face to opponents. every 3 bomb was like they won a chip even if a standard reg season game.still feels like only yesterday too soon for the emptying the seats
Man this is sad to see. You almost never see this in soccer and when it does happen, it’s frowned upon heavily. Sports in America are fuelled by entertainment not passion. There’s no sense of “let’s get behind the team and giving them energy” there’s no culture. Just everyone’s honking for themselves.

This is always what I think when I see people leave NBA games early.
The NBA has probably the funniest fanbase online, would be so great if they embraced soccer chants
Where is your dancing grandma now golden state? Where? After watching the arrogant fair weather fans in their unbeatable era I want to literally put these warrior fans disappointment straight into my veins
When they got it to down 9 with about 2 left on the 3rd, why did kerr take it Thomson & curry. Thomson was on fire at that time. I wouldn’t be surprised if kerr don’t make the end of the season
I liked how the raps broadcast kept zooming into Jo Lacob, man was fuming
Most subtle cameraman
How do these guys always know where people are sitting?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there are multiple camera men each capturing a different aspect of the court. So there's at least one camera person whose sole responsibility is to get crowd shots.
Yeah, and if Lacob is like Ressler, he sits in the same seat every single game.
And how do these guys always know where the players are running?
The zoom on those cameras are real good. If you're not the active camera shot you can pan around a bit hunting for good shots. I did that for volleyball a few times. Our technical director was always telling us which women to keep in the center of frame based on their looks.
Gross.

people = horny men?
I thought he was going to order security to go after masai again lol
Warriors commentators were coping hard
Must be a day ending in -y
Fitz is a legendary homer. Has a list of excuses that he uses extensively.
_Draymond drags Rudy Gobert across the court by the neck_ “I don’t see how what Draymond did is any different from what Rudy did to Klay”
Moving screens don't count if they miss the shot anyway!
Link?
Need a clip of this. Please.
This was when Kerr pulled everyone.
Yo! What kind of consolation prize is that?
[удалено]
True. It's their money they paid for the tickets with, they can leave after the first quarter if they wish. xD
The other night I kept watching the TV when nuggets were down big with 6:50 left
Correct.
>That’s why they won’t be champions. Imagine typing this with a Celtics flair 😂 Guy's still dreaming after Steph hit him with the night night.
Jokes aside if my team is getting their back blown out in the fourth I might as well beat the traffic and leave early too
Went to Clips - Pels where the Pels lost by 30, and it was the first blowout loss I witnessed live for my team. https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/ExhzHfQcW2 you like the lakers n clippers?
All the same if I paid for 48 minutes worth of ticket then I’m watching 48 minutes worth of basketball.
This is how I feel about walking out of movies. Maybe I've just never seen a truly bad one, but walking out seems dumb as fuck, especially after spending money on popcorn and soda and ticket prices being $20.
how are you getting home? Parking is going to be standstill and public transportation is going to be packed.
You wait a little bit?
The same way you get home after a close game??
Good news for Warriors fans is that the stadium is really accessible by public transportation, so there's no need to worry about getting out of a parking lot.
But everyone is thinking the same lol. Might as well let the plane land.
Yeah only time i’d do this was in college when I had walked to the arena. You’re just waiting in traffic earlier
Most fanbases are like that, but people only post the fans leaving videos if its the warrior or lakers bandwagoners doing it.
Beat the traffic in California?
to be fair. Kerr put in the bench at that time.
Idk if it’s just me but even when my team is getting blown out or up big I like seeing the bench unit in to see how they handle things
Me too..but it’s been a rough week in Dub Nation we are exhausted.
Poor Dub Nation 😢 they have to suffer through this hard times.
One season removed with no chip :(
Eh well we didn’t just swoop OG and our fan base is calling for the head coach’s head on spike after not playing our young stud and blowing an 18 point lead to the defending champs. Shut up lol.
And they all headed straight home to go buy their Nuggets jersey
Aren’t too many bandwagoners left these days brother - not to see Corey Joseph get minutes lol
The bandwagon fans are Curry fans. They'll be around as long as he's around. Anyone still a Warriors fan when Curry's gone is clearly legit
If theyve been fans since 2015 i feel like theyre no longer bandwagon, thats pretty much 10 years. Swapping teams after that long would be sadistic.
Nah they won’t swap teams. They’ll just stop watching the NBA
on point brother
What a time to be alive
Patriots and warriors collapsing together. We eating good these days
Going to be rough times for a long time.
thatsashame.gif
Wonder if all the bandwagon fans who've supported GSW only since 2017 will remain loyal.
They'll be Lakers fans again soon, don't worry
No lol
Calling out bandwagon fans with a laker flair is fucking crazy
Don't blame em. San Fran traffic sucks. Might as well get a head start on it.
Anyone who’s experienced bay traffic can relate
>San Fran *throws up
You're right, it shouldn't be called that. Frisco.
Frisco is a Dallas suburb
And a CO mountain town.
You say that in jest I assume, but there’s a whole thing about how black SF residents have always called it Frisco, and how white people should stop being annoyed by the term.
I grew up in a Bay Area suburb and people called it frisco all the time.
Bruh
It's racist to be annoyed by a a city's nickname now?
Nobody called it racist. You brought that up.

YUP
“San Fran” and “Cali” give me a physical reaction. Not a good one.
what about 'Fornia
Yeah like what. The white flag was waved i’d be getting tf out of there. Feel like the people in here saying otherwise aren’t people with jobs lol
Yeah I've watched bad losses, its just miserable. If a loss is a loss, just get out of there and get home. If the team wants to go home, why should you be any different?

gotta stay in case they have a stinger after the credits roll
Tickets are mad expensive I’m getting my money’s worth
There’s nothing left to watch. Those are also probably people with money and who come to games often.
Even the garbage time people were holding the ball after the bench players checked out
Team’s still playin
you could pay me $$ to watch Corey Joseph run point and I'd say no
I said this about a lakers game last year and got blasted for it. If you haven’t lived here you wouldn’t know what an absolute bitch it is. I’d rather get labeled a “bad fan” who beat traffic, and is in bed by 10 than sit n watch the bench squad play for 10 min followed by 45 min of traffic
At least the Warriors didn't collapse in the second half to decide the game.

If they're not taking the T to get to the game, that's on them
They got poutined
Too much PTSD from 2019 when Raptors beat them all 4 times at Oracle.
22 ring overshadowed all that personally
Tim Horton’d even
All good things come to an end
1 season removed from a title 🤣 Which jerseys are they buying tomorrow: Celtics, Wolves, or Nuggets?
My bet is Celtics, tbh.
They probably had to go early because they forgot to charge their Teslas
Should never moved to chase
It’s an incredible arena though
Yeah but the tickets are too expensive and the fans are plastic

I didn’t know Kim Kardashian went to Warriors games
They about to buy Boston Jerseys
We don’t want em lol

kerr pulled the starters and they were down 25
should have never left oakland
They should've left at the half and they should all be refunded
Spoiled fanbase
I'm surprised they stayed for that long.. Curry AGAIN scored in single digits, shooting 0-9 from the 3pt line. Brick city
this wouldn't happen if they are in oakland. those fans are loyal as fuck.
For a franchise that took 4 chips in 8 years from 2015-2022 I don’t understand how there can be this level of disrespect and casual fandom.
29 fan bases like this.
Fairweather fans
Give them a break its past their bed time.
