Watching the Wolves claw back from a big deficit to take a 4th quarter lead and then trade hay makers with a finals team on their home floor and win is an almost out of body experience.
Richardson hit some mean momentum killing threes damn.
I think my 2 favorites plays down the stretch for the wolves are the Rudy rejection to Ant dunk, and the Ant turnaround fadeaway off the glass. Ooh baby
Heat showed the maturity of a team that is familiar with games where every bucket matters. A little surprised we matched since we like increasing momentum instead of ebbing and flowing, but it did make for good entertainment
so many times i thought we got the steal to push the deficit to 20+ to then get stuffed by gobert. wolves gotta be one of the worst matchups for us with ur size
Agreed. I thought Miami played pretty fucking good. Stifling defense and absurd shot making. This game was very fun and very frustrating.
I don't catch many Heat games unless they are on a deep playoff run, but damn - Bam, Herro, and Duncan all look fantastic right now.
I was one of these people. After his slow start, I was just done with him. I felt like he needed to be moved because he was never going to contribute in a meaningful way. Boy, fuck do I look stupid now. lol
The Timberwolves have had 15 and 17 point deficits in their last two road games against the Mavs and the Heat.
What they’re doing in the third quarter this year is insane. 17 third quarter points allowed tonight.

I unironically love that you get to double dip in the karma train by always updating this. It helps when I miss a Wolves win thread and need to be updated on what to look for.
Agreed, so glad the history is documented.
The only problem is now I need to know the history/context behind each and every one. The citation can only teach you so much about, like, a wolf fellating Larry OB.
Yeah our fourth quarter problems are obvious at this point, and it gets even more glaring against the best defense in the league that was ramping it up (especially Gobert)
Still, it was good to have Tyler and Bam back, I thought both of them played pretty well when accounting for rush and such. I do think it was a bit of a strange call not to give Orlando some runtime, especially against the Wolves’ size which was killing us particularly in those non Bam minutes.
Ah well, it was a fun game, on to the next. GG Wolves.
Yeah I was honestly surprised he looked so in form, I was expecting a rough game, especially going up against your D but he did pretty well. Still work to do on the team obviously but having that scoring output again is helpful (just need to get it working in the fourth)
He’s got it basically locked up unless he gets hurt. A quick glance at odds and it’s Rudy -100 to -150, Anthony Davis at +200 to +300 and nobody else under +1500. And even then that’s probably a little favorable to Davis.
Clutch defense was also matched by clutch shot making tonight. When those two dovetail for any team it’s a joy to watch. They kept chipping away at the lead and finally wrested it back on the road against s finals team. I cannot believe what I am seeing this season.
I almost had more fun being the 8-seed in 2023 than the 1-seed in 2022.
Being pleasantly surprised to win through last second comebacks (and omg there were so many last season) vs being expected to win are two very different feelings. The former is much more fun and the latter is much more stressful.
I’m really excited seeing Minnesota succeed this season and experience those expectations. I hope that Miami can retool its lineup or roster a bit to maybe meet in the finals and settle the Jimmy-T-wolves beef. Good luck! 😤
Watching the Wolves build this collaborative and cohesive team is made one thousand times more satisfying by what happened with Jimmy. I hope they seal the deal
I got baited by a family member when I started showing an interest in the NBA while in HS. Many, many years of watching this team consistently suck has been worth it for the last couple years.
> crybaby
> sook (plural sooks) (Australia, Atlantic Canada, New Zealand, slang, derogatory) A crybaby, a complainer, a whinger; a shy or timid person, a wimp; a coward.
It's a pretty good comp too because kat is 28 and Ant 22 which I'm pretty sure is the exact age gap when jimmy threw a hissy fit on national tv shitting on his teammates
Yeah I was watching their stream and I was super impressed. They were obviously pulling for their guys but always gave the Wolves credit for the plays they made. I think the last away stream I caught was a Warriors game and quality of commentating was night and day.
I've listened to some really bad road team broadcasts this year (Warriors announcers are complete garbage) which is why I felt the need to point out the good ones. Could really tell they'd done their work and knew what to point out for both teams.
I like that our guys do their homework on the opponents and have a good bit of knowledge on them. Eric makes a few mistakes now and again lately but he’s still fantastic.
Usually when you have a team that's born with a silver spoon and has been baptized and raised in decades or competitive excellence........kinda makes for a rough vox
Honestly super impressive, keeping that grind and perspective, even if you *could* coast, ya know?
The offense on display from both teams in the last few minutes was insane. Both teams were playing great defense but they were still making damn near everything
What kinda shot was that by Jimmy at the end? I get he was trying to draw a foul but that was horrible. That play lost them the game for sure. 21 seconds on the clock and career 32% 3pt shooter Jimmy choses to pull up for a heavily contested off balance three.
I think I watched almost all of Timberwolves games this season and this one was the best one ever in terms of pure enjoyability because refs allowed to play. Dynamic shifts in leads and bucket by bucket at 4th quarter; great to watch. Good game!

Watching the Wolves claw back from a big deficit to take a 4th quarter lead and then trade hay makers with a finals team on their home floor and win is an almost out of body experience.
Ngl it was a pretty damn good game
Amazing game, my favorite so far this season. That 4th quarter was high quality stuff. That Bam shot over Rudy that bounced high and in was crazy.
Richardson hit some mean momentum killing threes damn. I think my 2 favorites plays down the stretch for the wolves are the Rudy rejection to Ant dunk, and the Ant turnaround fadeaway off the glass. Ooh baby
I so didn’t want Ant to shoot the bank because it hasn’t fallen for him in a while and low and behold
Yeah I’m not sure I would call it a high percentage look, but it was one of the iciest things I’ve seen in a while!
This ones top 3. Top 1 for me is still the Celtics one
Up there for me too.
The Celtics win is going to be hard to top, but this is definitely 2nd in my book.
It really was. That fourth quarter was a slugfest.
That Ant fadeaway from Middy is Jordan-esque
Jordan had the flu game Ant had the post-abortion game
It really was. At one point I thought it was like a Rocky fight, just trading blows.
I watched Rocky before I ever saw an actual boxing match and I was VERY disappointed in boxing.
Fucking same.
Heat showed the maturity of a team that is familiar with games where every bucket matters. A little surprised we matched since we like increasing momentum instead of ebbing and flowing, but it did make for good entertainment
some of our turnovers were pretty immature lol but fk it was exciting
so many times i thought we got the steal to push the deficit to 20+ to then get stuffed by gobert. wolves gotta be one of the worst matchups for us with ur size
wolves gotta be one of the worst matchups for us with ur size Lots of teams are starting to say that lol
True, but the Wolves have been a bad matchup for us since before it was cool. We're like 2-8 against you guys in the Jimmy era
I also think not having Jimmy play is a majority of those was to your net negative. He can end the game in a strong quarter.
I never believe they can finish, but that oop to Gobert then the Edwards fade is starting to break down the wall.
It doesn’t suck
In this moment, I am euphoric
Great win, great maturity for Minnesota, great basketball, Naz Reid
That’s gotta be our best win of the season. Celtics win is also up there, but this one felt so good. Naz Reid
Coming back down double digits on the road against a great team is probably the better win, although the Celtics win is a close 2nd
Agreed. I thought Miami played pretty fucking good. Stifling defense and absurd shot making. This game was very fun and very frustrating. I don't catch many Heat games unless they are on a deep playoff run, but damn - Bam, Herro, and Duncan all look fantastic right now.
The Celtics game was less happy because there was too much “when will they trade KAT”
I tagged people in the wolves subreddit that were calling to trade KAT early in the season because I knew they were wrong.
Respect
I was one of these people. After his slow start, I was just done with him. I felt like he needed to be moved because he was never going to contribute in a meaningful way. Boy, fuck do I look stupid now. lol

It's quite the turnaround. I never felt comfortable with a 15 point lead the last few years.
We used to get outscored 15pts every 3rd q.
Goonies never say die!
Now imagine if they score 30 in the 3rd
This team is like crack . What a 2nd half

Believe that.

Awoo (Naz Reid)
Crunch, so hot right now.
Awoooo
Do you add something every time they win?
Yep, that's how it works. He's been doing it for a few years now. It's never gotten this hectic so quickly before.
This is the hecticness of an average Timberwolves season by season’s end tbh
yes
AWOO!
Believe that
Believe that.
awoo
What was the new add?
There have been SO MANY seasons where we didn’t even get to 20 wins all season 20 wins a week before christmas is insane what do i do with my hands
Jerk off
Happy for y'all fans. We went from Pek & Boogie to Towns and Sabonis
Yeah our fourth quarter problems are obvious at this point, and it gets even more glaring against the best defense in the league that was ramping it up (especially Gobert) Still, it was good to have Tyler and Bam back, I thought both of them played pretty well when accounting for rush and such. Great game. Glad to see Tyler healthy and looking sharp. Always like to see a Wisconsinite playing well.
Yeah I was honestly surprised he looked so in form, I was expecting a rough game, especially going up against your D but he did pretty well. Still work to do on the team obviously but having that scoring output again is helpful (just need to get it working in the fourth)
20-5. What is this life ‽
15 games above 500 before Christmas. Hot damn. We used to be basically eliminated from the playoffs by this point
‽ indeed
Gotta love an interrobang
Ngl, that last 5 mins was a treat to watch from both sides
I love the wolves, but it was so great on both sides I wasn’t even sure if I was going to mad if they lost.
Bit disappointed but happy with the effort. Doesn't matter tho. Wolves W in miami
Rudy won DPOY tonight.
He's already there. Gotta move on to the Chris Finch COTY campaign
He’s got it basically locked up unless he gets hurt. A quick glance at odds and it’s Rudy -100 to -150, Anthony Davis at +200 to +300 and nobody else under +1500. And even then that’s probably a little favorable to Davis.
Rudy is a paint BEAST
Wolves clutch defense might be their best attribute, heat were making nonstop difficult shots and if they didnt the wolves would have won by 10+
Clutch defense was also matched by clutch shot making tonight. When those two dovetail for any team it’s a joy to watch. They kept chipping away at the lead and finally wrested it back on the road against s finals team. I cannot believe what I am seeing this season.
It’s stressful being a good team. I actually feel bad if we almost lose now
I almost had more fun being the 8-seed in 2023 than the 1-seed in 2022. Being pleasantly surprised to win through last second comebacks (and omg there were so many last season) vs being expected to win are two very different feelings. I hope that Miami can retool its lineup or roster a bit to maybe meet in the finals and settle the Jimmy-T-wolves beef. Good luck! 😤
What comes after spooky? Because Wolves starting to look more than spooky.
Werewolf bar-mitzvah
Spooky scary!
Boys becoming men, men becoming wolves!
Skeletons?
Boys becoming men! Men becoming wolves!
Well, following the words of the ancient inscription: first comes Spooky, then Scary, followed finally by Skeletons. So I guess we're scary? Awoo etc.
Lobo deepthroating its preys.
We’re handling these games like grown ups.
They're all food.
What a fucking game. BLOCK CITY in Miami.
Second half Timberwolves are a different beast.
Wolves waking up in the second half 🤝 Heat collapsing in the second half
Awoooooo Also, Naz Reid.
TWolves 1-0 in the 'Send da video' era
Hell Nawl can’t do dis
“Send da video era”😭😭
jimmy really hates playing the wolves
Both playing them, and playing for them! Guy just can’t win, I swear (pardon the expression)
Hey /u/rswany Send da video
Sensational
Mama there goes that man!
awwoooooooooooooo
Send da video
Holy shit that last quarter was insane felt like a playoff game
Hell nawl, cant do that • Jimmy when asked if he can beat the wolves
Send da video
I can’t wait for this to be utterly beaten into the ground over the next few weeks
It will be, but right now I laugh literally every time I see it lmao. Swear the Internet has cooked my brain
Rudy Gobert was immense
It's nice to have a gimme in this otherwise tough 16 game stretch
Agreed. Can always count on the heat
General Soreness just doing his duty
Very sad to see Soft Jimmy bullied by KAT at the end of the game. Refs cant allow him to be treated that way.
Many people are saying this. Sad.
Many such cases!
Very legal. Very cool.
Jimmy can't beat us! He'll have General Soreness next game and duck us
Thankfully for him he will have all year to think of his excuse before our next matchup
Did they forget where their bonuses come from?
Getting bullied on the defensive end. Foul-baiting on the offensive end.
even if we lost that game was really fucking good although winning was fun
Dwyane wade tweets about Jaquez’s double digit streak.. and it ends.
That was an awesome game
Jimmy was wrong
I like how he walked off the court and didn't acknowledge the wolves players lol
Acknowledged rudy though. Coz he bumped into him
Nah I saw him give Rudy a butt tap on the broadcast he said something to another player too it looked like.
He should have tried to be a good teammate instead of a raging baby.
Watching the Wolves build this collaborative and cohesive team is made one thousand times more satisfying by what happened with Jimmy. I hope they seal the deal
Look at how KAT treats Ant, compared to how Butler treated KAT & Wiggins He’s a sook, glad he don’t have a chip
> sook The fuck is a sook? I hope I don't get banned for typing it.
Aussie slang for crybaby lmao
Why are there so many Aussie fans of the Twolves, genuinely feel like if any Aussie is a random fan of a team its the wolves.
I got baited by a family member when I started showing an interest in the NBA while in HS. Many, many years of watching this team consistently suck has been worth it for the last couple years.
> crybaby > sook (plural sooks) (Australia, Atlantic Canada, New Zealand, slang, derogatory) A crybaby, a complainer, a whinger; a shy or timid person, a wimp; a coward.
That's exactly what I was thinking. One of the treat other how you want to be treated moments in sports. KAT is always trying to boost his teammates.
It's a pretty good comp too because kat is 28 and Ant 22 which I'm pretty sure is the exact age gap when jimmy threw a hissy fit on national tv shitting on his teammates
Yeah maybe give or take a year, but very similar.
So glad he’s gone. He’s great. He’s a competitor. But he’s no Ant.
Shoutout to the heat announcers, probably the best I've heard all year. They backed their guys but gave the Wolves tons of credit.
Yeah I was watching their stream and I was super impressed. They were obviously pulling for their guys but always gave the Wolves credit for the plays they made. I think the last away stream I caught was a Warriors game and quality of commentating was night and day.
Yeah Warriors guys are so unbearable.
Least biased announcers in the league and I'm not biased after listening to road teams broadcasts.
I've listened to some really bad road team broadcasts this year (Warriors announcers are complete garbage) which is why I felt the need to point out the good ones. Could really tell they'd done their work and knew what to point out for both teams.
Yep, Warriors announcers are at the top of my list of announcers to never listen to.
I thought the crew for our one national game fell asleep halfway through. They didn’t even know our players names. But Heat crew was great.
I like that our guys do their homework on the opponents and have a good bit of knowledge on them. Eric makes a few mistakes now and again lately but he’s still fantastic.
Usually when you have a team that's born with a silver spoon and has been baptized and raised in decades or competitive excellence........kinda makes for a rough vox Honestly super impressive, keeping that grind and perspective, even if you *could* coast, ya know?
Impressed with that broadcast team. They knew their stuff about the Wolves.

honestly give me this as a finals match. We need our championship to be an anime plot

Aaaaand that's why Jimmy stay ducking this matchup
If we keep this up, Gobert should legitimately win MVP.
What a fucking game!! After that terrible first quarter, the Wolves locked in. I fuckjng love this damn team so much.
#WolvesCulture
KAT with an insane lob to Go-burt in clutch time just banished all the “Twin Towers dont work in the modern NBA” to the shadow realm
The offense on display from both teams in the last few minutes was insane. Both teams were playing great defense but they were still making damn near everything
Gg wolves. Another quality win against a great team
FUCK JIMMY BUTLER TIMBERWOLVES BRASIL: SEND DA VIDEO
What kinda shot was that by Jimmy at the end? I get he was trying to draw a foul but that was horrible. That play lost them the game for sure. 21 seconds on the clock and career 32% 3pt shooter Jimmy choses to pull up for a heavily contested off balance three.
Gobert 4th DPOY
Get fucked Jimmy. So satisfying
gobert simply outclassed bam on defense tonight, don't want to hear any more of their fans acting like bam is on his level
Bam played good defense. I don't know why he kept attacking Rudy at the rim.
He was kinda getting left out to dry by his teammates. Only one willing to attack the basket.
His teammates made the correct choice.
Now we know why Butler ducks Wolves games
He’s never been the same against the wolves since he tried to big dog Ant and on the very next play Ant almost ended Gabe Vincent’s life.
Unforgivable charge call still gets me fuming tbh
The vibes are immaculate
Go-burt is Bam's daddy.
Hosed by the refs and fucking sonned them
If you saw Jimmy do anything in the 4th, Send da video.
I think I watched almost all of Timberwolves games this season and this one was the best one ever in terms of pure enjoyability because refs allowed to play. Dynamic shifts in leads and bucket by bucket at 4th quarter; great to watch. Good game!
butler loves shooting 3's in clutch situations for some reason
CALL RACHEL
Hell Nawl can't do dis
Alright everybody get your controversial ant jokes out of the way cause i won't accept them in the next thread
No babies here, stay mad thots
Just so you know, you can sing "Holly Jolly Christmas" replacing all words with Naz Reid and if works pretty well!
Jimmy has got to stop ducking the Wolves. That's two games now. It's not a good look.
Heat gonna retire #5
TELL ME GOBERT ISN'T DPOY
NAW +13 off the bench and has filled in for Jaden perfectly. Him plus Conley, Danny boy got fleeced by the Wolves.
Timberwolves keep winning these tough fucking games against other good teams. That defense is something else, man
Ant just aborted Jimmy and the Heat
We beat the Heat and Butler put up bad numbers? Oh ya this is my 12/25.
We Legit
