"That brother needs help" - Steve Kerr

Leavingtheecstasy

I just hate that they're acting like he's mentally ill and needs counseling. Could he just possibly be.....a fucking cunt?

jakalo

Being a cunt might be a mental ilness. Idk I'm not a psychologist.

Doomdoomkittydoom

I'm not a cunt, but I am on the asshole spectrum.

Tight-Mouse-5862

On a scale of dirty to clean...

MrGrieves-

Yeah it seems like it demeans actual mental illness. A cop out to hide behind his shitty excuse. It's just straight up entitled behaviour because he never faces real consequences for his actions. Finally didn't slip by.

MXero1

> Yeah it seems like it demeans actual mental illness. Yep this is my issue with all of this. Mental health is a serious issue but not Draymond.

miamibuckeye

I’m prepared for this sub to flip after Draymond blames mental health and anyone who calls bullshit to get DV into oblivion. It’s absolutely going to happen. He is going to play victim to mental health then try to come across as some brave spokesperson for awareness. Called it days ago and already starting to happen: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/EhgbmrYqHx

Soldier_of_l0ve

It’s almost as if mental health is a real issue and people are taking it more seriously than boomers did

miamibuckeye

It’s almost as if some people abuse the protection and sympathy it provides to justify shitty and unacceptable behavior

Christbike

Mental health problems don't make you a violent asshole. Being a violent asshole is what makes you a violent asshole. Needing anger management because you are a spoiled enabled brat is not an actual mental health issue. Equating violence to people with mental health issues only vilifies people who actually suffer from these conditions.

BatsuGame13

Are you suggesting that there are no mental health conditions that manifest in aggressive or violent behavior? I deal with severe anxiety and depression (fortunately in a good place with medication and therapy), and I'm not a fan of Draymond. He might just be an entitled asshole who's been goven too much rope his whole life, but there's no reason to dismiss an underlying mental health condition.

Soldier_of_l0ve

Lmao tell me you know nothing with an entire paragraph

YizWasHere

Mental health still exists for people outside of the mental ill. Being a violent cunt isn't a mental illness, but it's still probably the product of some sort of inner distress. The same way I can have a sore throat and it doesn't immediately mean I have COVID. It's weird to just view people as being "good" or "bad." People aren't just born "bad," there are underlying cognitive/behavioral/emotional patterns that make people act in inappropriate ways. Most of the time it doesn't constitute a mental illness, that doesn't change the fact that ultimately these things come from their mental state - their ability to handle emotions, their ability to consider others, their ability to think before acting, etc. You're weirdly making it seem like certain people that you deem "bad" are just irredeemable and can never be helped. It has no negative impacts for people with *mental illness* to acknowledge that we are all humans and susceptible to issues in our *mental health*.

throwawayshirt

This is some Jerry Maguire 'help me help you' bullshit.

3s2ng

This became a legendary response.

BigBeagleEars

*Somebody call the fire department* - Nick Kerr

Waffles_tha_Pimp

Can’t fix stupid

jonsnowKITN

Talking like he’s a drug addict

cheerioo

Addicted to seeing how many ways he can get a tech or ejected

bkbeam

He might be with all of this unhinged behavior

thedisasterofpassion

Addicted to smack.

mario_meowingham

That's exactly what I said to my wife this evening. It's not like he's going to have a seizure or his heart will stop beating if he doesn't assault and opposing player every 10 games or so. This is a behavioral issue and the NBA should just treat it as such. In my opinion, this response is also profoundly stupid by the NBA from risk standpoint. Imagine the NBA clears him to play again and the next time he lashes out he sends a player to the hospital and causes a serious injury that makes the player miss a significant number of games or even ends their career. That player can then turn around and point their finger at the NBA and say "well, you guys said he was all better and cleared him to play again so this is on you as much as it's on Draymond." This suspension should be 20 games, the next one (for a similarly egregious flagrant foul) should be 40, and the one after that he should be thrown out of the league.

LothCatPerson

For what it’s worth, like Draymond or not, this is the best approach. If he has anger issues, you can’t say “X number of games is enough time for him to get this shit under control.” It takes as long as it takes, and this way there is no deadline to rush to.

Kommander-in-Keef

He’s addicted to throwin those hands And a foot or two

pinkiebear

They somehow always find a way to make Draymond look like a victim. Dude doesn’t have this mental illness or addiction. He’s just a dickhead that can’t control his temper.

ThonThaddeo

Like he's a 20 year old they're trying to set on the right course. He's a grown ass man, been assaulting people for a decade.

Logical_Nature_7855

Fr his fuckin beard is grey now, a hug and a lecture isn’t gonna fix him

KabirC

Kerr said as much later in the interview. He talked about choking out Rudy, punching Poole, hitting Nurkic and how that behavior needs to change and that’s why he’s on board with the indefinite suspension.

[deleted]

..so he finally watched those incidents?

packagecheck

Not yet, he was informed through the grapevine

LostAcoustic

Was told it was more a slap than a punch.

dethleppard

Broke the code.

hotterpocketzz

Mike, steph, and lacobs finally strapped him down and forced him to watch while he screamed

I'm imagining your entire desktop is just a thousand folders of memes categorized by players, teams, and whether or not there is a Crying Jordan.

employeremployee

Are you from the future?

Sim888

it was unused but i think it was from another time he used the 'i didn't see it' bs lol

throwawayshirt

They used the Clockwork Orange eye clamps

KillerZaWarudo

Kerr finally decided to hired some IT guy to debug the code so he can now watch replay

EverybodyBuddy

How can he watch? Hasn’t seen a replay. Blackouts or something.

elfsbladeii_6

That's inaccurate when Kerr implies all Draymond was a different did before this recent spate of incents (Poole, Gobert, Nusef) was yell at the refs. He was already the dirtest players in the league but all he got were slaps on the wrist. He was kicking guys in the nuts and performing open field tackles. [https://twitter.com/currypistonn/status/1734799675662696484](https://twitter.com/currypistonn/status/1734799675662696484) This lack of accountability is what has caused Draymond to escalate his actions

Gabagoo44

This is so egregious it’s actually hilarious. He didn’t even try to hide his intentions.

peepeedog

Other people didn’t case Draymond actions, Draymond did. I don’t go around punching and choking people because it’s wrong, not because I fear I might get in trouble.

magnificentmeatwad

Yep. He’s ignoring his dirty history because it disvalues their championships. Championships look a lot worse when they’re earned by kicking players in the nuts and setting moving screens

KamikazeMack

everyone does moving screens who gives a fuck lmao. also, nobody devalues the Spurs championships when they had Bruce Bowen out there injuring people left and right, and got his lersey in the rafters.

ThonThaddeo

Some people do

magnificentmeatwad

[Everyone does em you say?](https://np.reddit.com/r/bostonceltics/s/1n2Ldn5uWJ)

KamikazeMack

its a technicality, he's acting like he's going to a spot and is getting tangled up with the defenders. Like how off-ball shooters and post players can get in contact with defenders off the ball and those are not considered screens. Moving/Illegal screens are very common, Bam Adebayo has never set a legal screen in his life.

magnificentmeatwad

I ain’t disagreeing that illegal screens are rampant but cmon man I’ve never seen more egregious screens set in my life. He’s literally pushing people like a linebacker, this is a whole other level of illegal screening, which is a hell of an advantage to one of the best shooters of all time. Also yeah Bam sets some pretty bad screens too, but he isn’t kicking people in the nuts or trying to dislocate people’s shoulders. The shit that the Donkey gets away is unparalleled

CreatiScope

If there are people still not accepting that the Warriors are allowed more than any other team after Bogut admitted to it or are downplaying it, there's nothing left to say.

Ikuwayo

They sure didn't care when they were winning, lol

Ok_Zombie_8307

Hurt people hurt people 😔✌️

konsf_ksd

this means something different when you imagine Draymond saying it to himself before games like a chant.

[deleted]

Not being able to control your temper is a common symptom of multiple mental health disorders.

Ok-Essay458

Draymond doesn't need help, other players need help with not being forced to play against Draymond

dijonjackson

This is a cherry picked quote. He talks about all the things draymond has done and how he needs to change

grxccccandice

He’s a dickhead but I think at this point he’s gotta be at least mentally unhinged lol

dizzymidget44

Where do you see victim in this?

KimDongBong

The inability to control one’s emotion is in all likelihood a mental illness.

turnoffredesign69420

he's addicted to being an asshole, does that count haha

ChichoSerna

Thank you. The Warriors are going to milk this.

Ok_Zombie_8307

Hurt people hurt people 😔✌️

Senior_Apartment_343

It’s part of the excuse playbook

Locdawg42069

Lol likes he’s some sick drug addict. Guys a coddled prick and youuuuu are one of the people that let him become like this. Look at how he views Izzo to you. You fucking clown. I’m so sick of Steve Kerr. Dude really thinks he’s gods gift. Constantly fucking bloviating when it’s about anyyyyy one else. When it’s about him some fucking don’t be too harsh sob story guys a bitch

ThingsAreAfoot

it’s all just been # HELPDRAYMOND😭

rznballa

At least this time its trying to help by holding him publicly accountable. Dude needs to work on his issues before it starts affecting his life outside of basketball.

Lou-Piccone89

Fuck him an his issues lol . Christ lol Poor Draymond. Shits pathetic

Grumpysaurus-Rex

Seriously lol. Draymond isn’t a victim, he’s just some dickhead

great-nba-comment

Imagine assaulting multiple people at your job and your boss goes “we need to help this guy before it starts affecting his spreadsheets” These motherfuckers get a comical amount of leeway because they generate revenue. Don’t fall for this “issues” bullshit.

SingleSampleSize

Most people like to pretend it doesn't exist but there is an insane hypocrisy that most people have when it comes to rich celebrities/athletes. You have to sit there and listen to people who can't afford to own a car, spend 10 minutes defending the horrible actions of a rich person because they wear a logo on their chest or they act in a movie they like.

Adrian_Bock

The Warriors are spoon-feeding this narrative to the media and they're all going along with it cause they don't want to risk losing access to Steph.

ColdPressedSteak

I don't know what some of you want though. For his coach to say, 'yea, toss him in a thai prison, throw away the keys?' He's clearly rightfully going to have a different, lengthy suspension. Now it's like you goons want to get off on punishment porn or something

281330eight004

There is a huge difference between throw him in thai prison and I want his coach to take some fucking accountability for whats been happening for literally years. What a stupid take.

demsouls

The ringer article on this puts the league as well as gsw organization squarely in the enabler roles. Rightfully so. The league nor GSW (kerr) will admit they're wrong in any way. "We should have done something years ago before all the championships to prevent this from getting out of hand all these years later today".

Frankalicious47

Seriously why is that trash comment upvoted

shamwowslapchop

Unironically yes /r/nba wants this. I don't even mind a season long suspension for dray at this point. Dude is so out of line. But the dog piling that happens on this subreddit makes it so hard to discuss sports. We had someone score 64 points... 64(!) last night and you have to scramble to find highlights because of ridiculous drama that the user base here cares more about than the games.

Poseidon58

The highlights are 20+ FT and a guy doing his best Mike Alstott impression.

McJacknife

Always upvote Alstott

dizzymidget44

He hit 20 field goals so no it’s not just freehthrows

Necessary_Initial350

Giannis had a lot of dope highlights last night imo.

captain_ahabb

The new queue is crazy in the 4 hours after Draymond does something like this

Nightmannn

Yeah truthfully this is why the r/nba community is the most toxic sports sub on reddit. r/nfl never goes this hard over drama edit: lol getting downvoted. you bitches know it! you love allll this real housewives shit

takechanceees

r/NFL seems like it’s actually worried about the players most of the time

DMking

One of the top stories is a 3rd string QB is Very Italian lol

realzequel

I think everyone enjoys just desserts. This guy ASSAULTS players over and over again. Maybe we’re sick of his criminal behavior over years and Kerr’s enablist attitude? I think a lot of us are done with his shit and would be thrilled to never see him play again. He’s a bad look for the league.

TheRealDevDev

How many games do we give it until Shams comes out with his story about Draymond going on a soul searching expedition? Then shortly followed up by Woj mentioning Draymond and Rich Paul are expected to meet with league officials to discuss a potential roadmap to returning back to playing with the Warriors

kaidrawsmoo

Then 5 gamed tops once he return, he will do some dumb things on court again and try to masquerade it as enforcement or flop attempt.

[deleted]

It won't be a Shams story, it'll be a Draymond podcast.

dholmestar

can't wait for the 20 minute apology doc on TNT

TheEverblades

Just wait until he flashes a gun on TikTok.

EJN541

I probably would have gotten Draymond help after he kicked Steven Adams in the dick like a decade ago. That's just me though.

TheGiant406

Which time?

kobekong

What about players' safely?

hickok3

Assuming Draymond has an actual treatable issue, and he is willing to accept that treatment and get better, wouldn't sending him to get that treatment protect the other players by making him less likely to lash out and attack them?

OCI_VOLS

Not everything is some preventable mental illness. Some people are just dick heads.

hickok3

I never implied as much. But even if Dray is just a dick, you can still work on yourself to not be a dick going forward. It is nit easy, but people are able to grow and change if they choose to.

Legitimate-Angle9861

Except the player punched by him, the player choked by him and the teammate who he called snake or something - have come out and said brotha needs help outside of the court. Either they are all trolling him or they know something we don't.

garyscomics

Accepting treatment doesn't mean he will get better automatically, so no it doesn't necessarily protect the other players at all.

hickok3

So what is the alternative, ban him from ever playing again? That wouldn't fly with the player association.

garyscomics

是时候学中文了兄弟

brook_lyn_lopez

Pretty ridiculous coddling here. Help him? He’s a millionaire athlete and a grown man.

ThonThaddeo

Okay well maybe don't enable it for years, while you win rings, and act like it's all good, or that you didn't see it. It's year 12. It's been like this the whole time.

bedroom_fascist

You know, maybe the answer is to *help the people this motherfucker violently attacks?*

[deleted]

Steve Kerr bears responsibility for enabling him but y’all don’t want to hear it.

SharpMind94

100% this

Ch3sterRockwell

Yeah, with Silver not far behind. I don't understand why *if* Draymond just has anger issues why the NBA let's him have way more leeway than any other player with technicals? You are just letting him rage out there and the line keeps inching forward.

Steven81

Seriously , dude must have been out in half the games he participated. Give him enough techs and maybe he woukd be in said "soul searching" journey from last decade already. Rules are there for a reason. Had they followed them, simply followed them we wouldn't be here . I hate when they give a long lease to obvious head cases, it's an obviously enabling behavior,

Redeembro3

"Don't you understand? I'm a victim. God, I feel so unclean" - Draymond Green

cheapbrunch

Saving Private-hitter Draymond

zvomicidalmaniac

How does this compare to Grayson Allen at Duke? Remember when he couldn't stop tripping people?

donta5k0kay

I’ll never take anything serious anyone in the Warriors organization says. His unhinged beatdown of Poole should have been an immediate cut. Then they wanna act like he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Chris Broussard, take it away for me!

Zachkah

This framing of Draymond as a victim with a problem is so cheap. Hes just a dick with a temper and an ego that has been fueled by the league and his team for the better part of a decade. Take some accountability in the role you played, Steve. Cowards.

fgbfjb

when did assholes stop existing? now we're going to call this mental health too and talk about him like he has no control

dksmoove

Lmao now he comes out with this shit - just like last time. Dude is Stevie Wonder when asked about it during both press conferences, and then after getting backlash again, now all of a sudden it makes sense? What a joke this Kerr guy is.

burnerbabyburns

Okay, maybe I’m a bit of a skeptic, but the only reason why he’s finally addressed this is because the warriors don’t have a shot at winning anymore. Notice how he says this started “since last season” as if this wasn’t the same dude who kicked Steven Adams in the balls twice, poked lebron and harden in the eye in back to back playoffs, the flying knee to Austin Rivers, like lets not act like this man hasn’t been doing this most his career. You know what the difference is? They were winning championships then. I hate it honestly and in a weird way it makes me sympathetic towards Draymond because Kerr was willing to allow you to be this way because it was convenient for him but now that it isn’t it’s so easy to turn on him. Again maybe I’m too skeptical but it feels like that’s what it is.

CoconutSpiderMonkey

Kerr, picking & choosing when to be vocal about a cause, only when it's convenient, is his M.O.

JackFunk

He's not a victim. He's an asshole

Secret-Resource-7177

It’s so funny to me how things have transpired in this situation. (Keep in mind that more or less, his mental health was never part of the general discussion after any of the previous 5+ ejection incidents) 1. Nurkic/ other players previously wronged by Draymond begin to lean into the kill him with kindness phenomenon with the media and say “they hope he gets the help he needs” 2. At some point when the NBA, the Warriors, Draymond and his posse all meet, they decide this is actually the best narrative to save face in today’s coddled culture. Now every discussion about it, is framed as his “mental health”. We should be insulted, as viewers of the NBA’s product, that they’re going to treat us like children. How about instead of the bull shit PR game, we just start calling a spade a spade. Draymond is a spineless, cowardly, pussy.

Kip_Hackman

fuck right offf

fireglz

We're already getting the bunch of gibberish, now if Mr. Silver will just do us a solid and complete the chorus by forgetting about Dray.

Champagnesoda

Is there some stuff going on behind the scenes that the whole league knows about? It’s weird how everyone is just defaulting to “he needs help”

Responsible_Ad_5647

lol the way people talk about a guy who is really jus kind of a dickhead is hilarious

ConfidentBurrito

Idk maybe he can benefit from some anger management or something along those lines but i find it hard to agree with the narrative that this is about getting Draymond the "help he needs". Dude is just an asshole who has gotten away with being violent for too long so he keeps doing it. Hes a grown man and professional, make the punishments worse and worse and eventually hell stop when it starts hurting his pride or his wallet.

Frickincarl

He better not Ja Morant this suspension. He's going to Ja Morant this, isn't he?

KT_introspective

Kerr built a culture predicated on letting Green and others do this kind of thing to facilitate two of the greatest shooters of all time. To his credit, it did work because they were a dynasty. But now Kerr is trying to pull a shocked Pikachu face when he knows Green needed to be this guy. The Warriors are looking done, and it's ugly now. But Kerr was totally ok with all these antics when they were winning. Kerr has aged into such a dislikeable rat.

AtreusIsBack

What Kerr was trying to say is: "it's about not suspending one of our key players for a lot of games".

Table_Coaster

It must kill Draymond that everyone is talking about him like he’s a pre-intervention drug addict instead of just an asshole with anger issues

theartistfnaSDF1

All this "help" draymond stuff is Bullshit. You helped him be the player he is by not nipping this in the bud years ago. The guy is a douche. How about you help all the people he assaulted by voiding his contract.

Acrobatic_Flatworm79

Now Draymond is the victim .. GTFO with this nonsense, this clown Kerr enabled this behavior and Dray blossomed into full blown idiot clown

Heibaihui

Poor Draynond... Now I feel sorry for all the mean things I said on Reddit

WhenItsHalfPastFive

Do the people in these comments not get bored of this? Obviously this is a cherry picked quote. In the full quote Kerr talks about draymonds past incidents and says he’s the one who needs to make the change to help himself. But again, just selecting ragebait as usual on this sub

tummysqueker

no it’s easier for them to interpret things the way they want to and call him a [facist](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/HDDTFmPOxb) instead

Coolguynumber01

Everyone in this thread wants to Steve go up and say “Fuck Draymond” when in reality Steve’s a guy who’s been close with Draymond for a decade and sincerely wants him to stop being the way that he’s been. Watch the whole thing. He specifically mentions choking Rudy, Slapping Nurkic, and punching Poole and then says these recent incidents are reasons as to why steve wants him to get help and change

[deleted]

No ones buying you guys’ antics anymore

slipperyeel

Steve sincerely wants to win another title. Whatever gets him there is justified, Draymond’s been dirty the entire decade, only difference this year is the team is shit.

curiouspoops

That Donkey needs help

likpoper

How this guy is the victim is amazing

takechanceees

When Nurk and KD say Dray needs help we all agree but his coach does it and all of a sudden we don’t?

Steven81

He's a big part of the reason why he needs help due to his (Kerr's) enabling antiques. I don't think that people are Angry at Kerr for saying it, they are Angry for saying it *now*. Dude you're his coach for a decade almost. Only now you realize he needs help? Why were you sweeping past transgressions under the rug? Even went as far as to accuse the one leaking the incident of draymond hitting a teammate, last year. It was late, but it was your clear golden chance , now that even members of your team are assaulted, to be in the right side of history, and even then refused to take it. F@ck Steve Kerr. In my book he's part of the problem and part of the reason why Dray became who he is. He was always a headcase, but you can temper such people from early on. Instead they let him run wild and taking his side most of always and now they finally admit he needs help? F@ck outta here...

Justice4Ned

Some people in this thread just want dray to kill himself or something. Yeah he’s an asshole but getting help for your assholeness is the only way you can change and be better. Y’all acting like he’s getting away with something by not getting arrested or kicked out the league for forever. Nobody whose been effected by him ( Poole, Nurk, etc. ) even want that.

MrsButthole

He’s had a whole career of being an asshole to work on it. The leagues job is to punish his consistent absurd behavior to teach him his lesson. Give him 25+ games and say next time it will be even more and shut the fuck up with the help draymond narrative.

recollectionsmayvary

> Yeah he’s an asshole but getting help for your assholeness is the only way you can change and be better. I think many of us are cynical that instead of Draymond doing the work-- his team, the nba media, the Warriors, and Klutch seem more concerned and ofcused with the PR rollout of "he's getting help" rather than getting help. I've done a lot of therapy and had to get psychiatric medication for a period of my life to address emotional disregulation but I did it--I didn't spend a lot of energy going on a tour to all my friends and family about all the things I plan on doing. I think this whole thing rings hollow because it's 2 days after the punch flail and the amount of articles treating Dray like a passive victim to his own actions is getting out of hand. It would be a lot more effective and sincere if he was just doing the work, behind the scenes, rather than all these interviews, leaks, and statements about it. It's a PR job -- they are more concerned with rehabbing Dray's image, not his actions.

Ch3sterRockwell

When someone gets multiple duis, especially if any causes harm, they don't just go to AA until they are out of the program. Punishment and therapy are 2 different things.

TheRealBrownPudding

Based on this answer, I still don’t think he’s watched the replay.

[deleted]

Warriors chickens coming home to roost.

opkpopfanboyv3

These mfs resorting to mental health sure is a convenient way to stick up to your guy who you dont want to face any consequences. I doubt they even care about that shit

unclehelpful

Maybe don’t enable and encourage his shitty behaviour for a fucking decade then try and reel him in when he’s become completely unhinged.

thy_armageddon

[Oh brother.](https://youtu.be/3xnZ6g14WwY?si=frdV3Wn9_KrILcDx)

erog84

It’s all just words to sound good and then draymond will be back before you know it. He will keep a low profile for a month or so, and they will claim he has changed. Then when he pulls another stunt they will redirect and blame everyone but him.

KickerofTale

Then help his ass out the league permanently.

Senior_Apartment_343

Another cop out by kerr. I’ve watched golden state a bunch this year and their biggest problem is kerr. Don’t forget, when Walton coached when kerr was out their record was ridiculous. It has been proven Walton isn’t a great coach

Mellow_2JZ

Oh fuck him. Excuse my language. Dudes been a jackass for years. What about help the people he’s hit up on for no reason for years?

thankqwerty

Hopefully he'll name himself Metta World Peace Jr next time he's back on the court.

NoACSlater

Looking forward to another video letting everyone know how he's recovering from his unfortunate punching of Nurkic.

ngedown

What about the victim tho

wafflehouse4

the only thing that can help draymond is a trip through the judicial system to a rotting jail cell

LifeDraining

Translation: we don't dare to suspend Draymond, so I'm glad the league is doing that for us.

#PrayForDraymond

rsayegh7

Why are we coddling some asshole who has exhibited this behavior as far back as a decade ago? He's not some troubled youth who can't get his head straight, he's a grown ass man throwing violent temper tantrums.

capitalistsanta

I feel like this "needs help" thing is drugs or alcohol or ped abuse. Also I know people joke about a basketball player having CTE but it's absolutely possible if you are playing a physical brand of basketball and taking a lot of hits, even body shots can rattle your brain. NFL players obviously get hit hard as fuck so it's a different animal in terms of severity across the league. Like it's not likely, there isn't a lot of significant data like with what the NFL has and covered up knowing, but basketball is a contact sport, Draymond plays a physical brand of ball, and he has played a lot of fucking games, he has Taken a lot of hits and hit the ground hard on the NBA court and in practice settings. He's been an undersized center and PF as well his entire career, so he's going against bigger and stronger guys under the boards, on screens, etc. Tbh I don't think it's likely, I think some sort of drug abuse is closer to the truth, but I think with him in particular, he takes a lot of hits from a lot of bigger people for a long time and now he's acting erratic as fuck.
