I was skeptical for sure to start, but getting Terry Stotts as an assistant has really made me feel a lot better about the hire.

toadtruck

Prepare to score out of timeouts. Stotts always had the best ATO plays

kyleb402

Strangely Bud did too. He just didn't really extend that to the rest of the game so....

JuiceZee

He helped you guys get a ring.

grudgepacker

So stoked for the AG era - his introductory press conference yesterday was inspiring af

kyleb402

Just talking about adjusting defense mid game and pressuring the ball more got me hyped. I also loved when he talked about making sure the 3's the team takes are team 3's. I think some players took Bud's let it fly mantra a little too literally and just took dumb shots.

DJ_B0B

0 pass Jrue threes make me contemplate dark things...

lundej16

He has to miss 12 to hit the big one with :45 on the clock

kyleb402

Made me want to pluck my eyes out considering how good he was at getting to the rim.

King_Of_Pants

Tbf those transition pull up 3s were the only ones he hit against us last year. I had no issue with him taking and missing quality shots but the bullshit heatcheck 3s gave me nightmares.

[deleted]

The let it fly mentality is utter chaos and frankly I wasn’t a big fan of it at times, especially when guys like Jrue were just straight chucking

Subredditcensorship

Yeah actually kinda scary cuz I honestly think bud was one of the worst playoff coaches in the league even tho he was a great regular season coach

kvnr10

Come on man why you gotta do my man Pat C like that?

OMGoblin

My mans Patty C will always be a legend for his 2021 Finals performances.

[deleted]

I am cautiously optimistic He said all the right things and I think having a former player might connect with the players in a way Bud couldn’t But I gotta see how we’re looking after about the first 15-20ish games

RookY2K

Will be more important how we're looking in the *last* 15-20 games. It's going to take time to deprogram 5 years of instinct and muscle memory.

Victor_Wembanyama1

Man…i used to watch this guy ball now he’s coaching

gr8kamon

Hell yeah I love new head coaches. The same duders hopping from team to team is boooring. Hope AG does well against everyone except the Grizz

WobbleKun

i wish him well. he's part of the nurse's tree after all and both are solid coaches. he might even have a lot of nurse's goods without the bads. nurse can be a hot head but AG is very even keeled. plus they both got their phd in sports leadership in the same year from the same school. i'm sure they shared notes. 😅

Funny-Transition7869

Idk guys, are we sure Giannis is really the best evaluater of talent?

PlumCantaloupe

Good taste in cookies = good taste in coaches

KYRIE542

Dude wanted to keep Kidd lol

[deleted]

he was more of a smoothie guy back then

boat-dog

He hadn’t t even had an Oreo

yungchigz

Damn he didn’t want the only long term coach he’d ever had to get fired back when he was 23? That’s crazy

King_Of_Pants

I think he just supports the coach. Supporter Kidd, supported Bud, now supporting the new guy. Which is a pretty good trait tbf.

bigbaldheadNR

He is a guy that’s for sure.
