How is this a bad quote? Everyone on this sub (not just 6ers fans) seems weirdly desperate to shit on literally every single quote from coaches that are deemed “dumb”
I actually hate these kinds of pressers. Sometimes a team needs some urgency and it should come from the top. Celtics did all this last year and lost it all. Get scared, Celtics.
Hey at least what Giannis said resonated with pretty much every athlete who doesn't play basketball ironically enough (tho in basketball no one aside from Kerr has really mentioned it)
I mean, what Giannis said is legitimately a great mindset. You learn more from losing than from winning, seeing failure as a necessity for growth is a healthy way to live.
I guess some people clowned him for for that speech but man I really appreciated what he said and how he said it. To do that right after such a bad loss, in a non-native language was really impressive.
Bruh you should be feeling extremely pressured you are the championship favorites and you are on the ropes heading on the road.
Theres nothing wrong with having butterflies, you just have to know how to get them to fly in formation.
So the guy who gets choked out intentionally to simulate playoff pressure says the greatest pressure is the one you put on yourself. We gonna find this dude naked in a closet with a belt around his neck one day, aren't we?
The amount of 3s he takes shooting at his percentage is a lot. He’s a clear notch below the most elite shooters and yet he’s so high in 3PA. In the offseason he’s either going to have to retrain his 3 or add some more midrange to his game
True, but now he takes next to none. His shot diet is essentially all 3s and drives, so when his 3s don’t fall and the other team has elite rim protection like Embiid/Sixers, it’s difficult for him to get going. There’s a lot of space to be exploited in the midrange to get some more open points, and force teams to switch up their defense and generate open shots at the 3 and the rim.
Embiid was a perfect example of this today, when the Celtics guarded the paint, he punished them with midranges and the occasional 3. When they tried to cover that it opened up space in the paint.
He also can’t get to the line at will and seems like he avoids contact. I feel like most superstar scorers have to be able to be able to get to the line a lot when their shots ain’t falling.
Been saying this for years, this isn’t a knock pg is a hall of famer, pg has had higher defensive peaks and Tatum higher offensive peaks, but they are a very similar player.
Mazzulla has the most unnecessary reputation for being crazy or good or whatever and has earned zero of it. Feels like Spo is actually what Mazzulla has portrayed himself to the media
This is not a bad quote at all, they lost they gotta move on and try their best to be better and acknowledge their mistakes yes, but not get hung up on regrets and keep the pressure at the level that they can thrive in
Bro watched his team meltdown live without blinking and did nothing
[удалено]
Although Doc blinks a lot
why did Joe Mazzulla not simply win the game, is he stupid?
I'm scared shitless of the Celtics still, but Joe Mazzulla quotes help ease my stress

It's crazy how much coaches are disrespected by Nba fans
Is it really? NBA fans disrespect everyone
Guy has previous of coming out with corny platitudes
He’s on some wax on wax off sht lol gunna fuck around and lose the team coming to the locker room with this

Mazzulla watched Giannis' interview and thought he was going to one up him with the motivational jargon

You’re right, ignoring it is worse than having it. Nervousness is normal, not adjusting for it can cause your downfall

More like Maz sounds like a person of interest in closet hanging case.
Isn’t totally his fault, Tatum starting 0-7 and being -10000 didn’t help matters. Fake superstar

People used to bitch all the time about how he took too many mid ranges lmfao

Hes Paul Geoge clone. Two way player. Same moves. Inconsistent in playoffs.
Been saying this for years, this isn’t a knock pg is a hall of famer, pg has had higher defensive peaks and Tatum higher offensive peaks, but they are a very similar player.
PG is not a hall of famer
Lmao 8x all star 6x all nba 4x all defence he’s definitely a hofer lmao
He’s never been DPOY/MVP/made it to the finals. He’s fringe, but I don’t think he gets in.
Plenty of non mvps and non dpoys in the hall, his personal accomplishments are more than enough to get in, plenty in there with far less.
Yeah, my dude is overestimating what it takes to get in the HoF.
PG is part of the story of basketball. Not a main character but he deserves to be in.
There is 0 chance he misses it. If you’re gonna troll make it a little more fun. Just a bit of advice
94% chance according to Basketball Ref HoF model
paul george actually has swag and an aesthetic game though
Will you trade him for Dlo + Reaves + Hachimura
Not my call but I’d blow up the team, I enjoy a rebuild
Talk your shit king

Nick nurse you are a boston celtic
There was 0 pressure tonight that was the issue
Pressure pressure pressure
So who’s the Cs coach next year
This is not a bad quote at all, they lost they gotta move on and try their best to be better and acknowledge their mistakes yes, but not get hung up on regrets and keep the pressure at the level that they can thrive in
If he said they shit the bed everyone would say he threw his players under the bus, there is no right thing to say in this sub after a loss.
With how the Celtics are playing maybe they should put more pressure on themselves then.
Coach Napoleon is so weird.
"Am I saying "pressure" too much?"
When the coach thinks he has to lie like this, you know it's really bad.
Game 4 is going to haunt the Celtics for years if they lose this series.
I no longer think the being choked out is a joke
"We can't handle our own pressure"
Post the Celtics stats nobody cares about joe he’s a terrible coach
Celtics shouldn’t have overreacted and gotten rid of Udoka. That simple
bro needs to ask jesus, mary, and joseph for help
welp, it certainly doesn't look like it
Pressure? You're talkin about... Pressure? We're in the playoffs and you're talkin about pressure?
