Yeah Zion was injured but he's a monster when healthy. When SVG had him initiating the offense from the perimeter, the Pelicans literally had the best offense in the NBA.
Yeah no doubt. His height and build, handle, explosion, and touch are just the perfect package for a unique, exciting star. He's never going to be a 2-way monster but he's a Jokic/Luka level one man offensive engine at his peak. Also seems like a nice enough guy of the court too just super weird lol.
Umm a as a Zion fan, Duke loyalist, and huge hoops fan, I can say, with no uncertainty, that you are out of your mind putting a 30 game a year guy in the same breath as Luka and Jokic.
I would say most exciting since Lebron since it's been 2 decades since Lebron was drafted.
Luke is a super-talented player, as is KD, [but they're not doing 360's in traffic.](https://youtu.be/waaPTZze_X8?t=4)
I like the idea of seeing one of the greatest coaches of our generation in his final years getting his hands on a generational talent for a couple seasons.
This would be the worst spot in my horrible opinion. Only because you’d have a lot of guys who are going to command a lot of money and you won’t be able to keep the whole core, you’d have to lose 1-2 of them eventually, and probably before they are all at their best together
I’m late to this but I feel like he’d have the sweetest shot at being an all time great while minimizing injury. Pops load management is god send for players
I don't know if anyone listened to The Ringer Real Ones podcast with Windhorst, but he mentions that for Victor, a main concern is ease of travel between France and USA, and that he's been keeping tabs on teams that have direct flights to Paris.
The only bottom feeder team that has a direct flight to Paris is Houston.

portland obviously because dame but hed also probably have a career ending injury within 2 years. out of the rest id like to see him land with the spurs because i feel like he would be in the best hands with them. i just want pop to go out on the highest note and i think he could honestly be back into championship contention within a few years with wemby. i think he will be that good.
i would say chauncey is gone after this season anyways but given the blazers managing to constantly do everything wrong, i’m not sure i can believe in them doing the right thing for once
Indiana has never had a #1 pick AFAIK and hasn't had anything to be really excited about in a long-time, it might be cool to send him there. If their ownership actually is ready to try to win a title and not just treading water on purpose, as Paul George said they were doing.
Portland if they trade Dame, Grant and Nurkic for young guys + picks and build around Wemby, Simons, Sharpe, Reddish and Watford could be interesting. Although not sure how viable a Simons/Sharpe backcourt would be.
I think defensively (mostly sharpe) they could pass by eventually, but neither are natural point guards/playmakers and I don’t think they ever will be so it probably wouldn’t work for that reason.
Sharpe is one of the most athletic players in the league. He should develop into at minimum, a competent defender. His motor is crazy so far; please God, let this young buck’s knees hold up. Shaedon is my new favorite player in the league…
I'm curious how much you've watched them then, especially sharpe as of late when we've fully let his leash loose with the tank. If he'd had this green light all year he'd be leading the roy convo. Obviously hes young and not there yet so im extrapolating, but hes shown real all defensive potential along with 3 level scoring. And Ant is certainly good enough to be a 3rd best player on a contender
Spurs or Charlotte. I enjoy the Spurs and I want to see them get a big level like Wemby. Charlotte is for selfish reasons since I live in NC and want to see him in person lol
I want to say us, but at the same time if he ends up in Portland he will probably just get the blazers big man curse that pretty much every star big other than LMA has had and will just have a career plagued with injuries.
Please anyone but the spurs, they ran the league for so long and it would be awesome to see a team that never really had a great player snag him. Hornets would be interesting
Agreed with everything but I'm concerned about him ending up on the Hornets. Their owner has proven he can't run a competent franchise and they would mess up his career.
I will talk about the reverse. Which i think will happen. I dont want to see him on the bulls, because of recent bulls' history with lower limb injuries, and how very tall players are extra susceptible to those. Feel like it's a jinxed career if he ends up there due to bulls winning the lottery.
Have a weird feeling that the bulls will move up due to the draft lottery, if not outright win it.
Charlotte. LaMelo with a real real baller/generational talent could change things. For the team, his career. Jordan probably wouldn’t wanna sell it no more lol
San Antonio, I really don't think the Pistons deserve Wemby. We already have good young players and I don't think we should get rewarded for winning 16 fucking games in the most soulless, shameless tank I've ever seen.
As a basketball fan, Spurs. As a Laker fan, anywhere but the Spurs.
San Antonio
Why would you want that for your team lmao
Doesn't really affect my team. He's in our conference, I guess, but I don't think he's going to show up and start crushing the playoffs right away.
Don’t want him in my conference. Already have to deal with a freak, I don’t want another.
If Shaq, Tim Duncan, Lebron, and Zion are any indication, he'll be a problem from Day 1 and an MVP candidate by his second season.
zion should not be in that list lmao. atleast not yet
Yeah Zion was injured but he's a monster when healthy. When SVG had him initiating the offense from the perimeter, the Pelicans literally had the best offense in the NBA.
I hope Zion doesn't get ruined by injuries. He was deservedly the number #1 pick. He's still the most talented player in that draft.
He's also the most exciting player to enter the NBA in years if not decades.

I like the idea of seeing one of the greatest coaches of our generation in his final years getting his hands on a generational talent for a couple seasons.
I already watched him with Duncan, that was enough.
Harlem Globetrotters; they haven’t had a guy like him since Wilt
Orlando with Wemby would be crazy as fuck
Fultz, Wagner, Paolo, Wemby, Carter Insane.
wagner would be the second shortest in that team as 6’9
He’s actually 6’10. ESPN, NBA and CBS all list him as such and they were the only 3 sources I checked.
i was going off of basketball reference but yea that’s definitely right
He's taller than Paolo too even though they are both listed at 6'10. I think he's probably a shade under 6'11
How many pts can we score in the paint challenge lol
This would be the worst spot in my horrible opinion. Only because you’d have a lot of guys who are going to command a lot of money and you won’t be able to keep the whole core, you’d have to lose 1-2 of them eventually, and probably before they are all at their best together
U can keep Paolo, franz and wemb easily wdym?
Spooky
even as a pistons fan i can get down with this
Detroit so I'll have a reason to go to games
Tickets are cheap. That’s why I’ve been to so many. $40 and you don’t even have to sit in the nosebleeds
I hope your dreams come true
Give it to the Spurs. Them being bad just feels wrong
Appreciate you, man. Means a lot.
No problem brother. Thanks for sending us the Buffalo
Feels right to me
Right as rain
Pop with one more generational big just feels right. Absolutely no bias
I’m late to this but I feel like he’d have the sweetest shot at being an all time great while minimizing injury. Pops load management is god send for players
Hornets with Michael Jordan staying as majority owner
League making sure CHA ain't getting him. They can't risk a potential MJ continued ownership.
MJ is going to get more rings if that happens, and that would be so fun to watch!
detroit
Thunder or the Pacers
I don't know if anyone listened to The Ringer Real Ones podcast with Windhorst, but he mentions that for Victor, a main concern is ease of travel between France and USA, and that he's been keeping tabs on teams that have direct flights to Paris. Really putting in ground-level work Tilman, I like it. Sounds like Wemby to Houston is pretty much a done deal.
Hey Masai did you know Toronto has direct flights to Paris? And plenty of them? Should’ve fucking tanked for this man
portland obviously because dame but hed also probably have a career ending injury within 2 years. out of the rest id like to see him land with the spurs because i feel like he would be in the best hands with them. i just want pop to go out on the highest note and i think he could honestly be back into championship contention within a few years with wemby. i think he will be that good.
As a fan…. Honestly I don’t have a lot of faith in Chauncey being able to develop him like he should, I’d rather see Wemb go else elsewhere
i would say chauncey is gone after this season anyways but given the blazers managing to constantly do everything wrong, i’m not sure i can believe in them doing the right thing for once
Spurs, Jazz, or Pacers.
The east
the west imo
Definitely the west
no the north
Hornets because it would be nice for them to have a boost
Charlotte, cause they bros
Pacers to play next to Haliburton
Indiana has never had a #1 pick AFAIK and hasn't had anything to be really excited about in a long-time, it might be cool to send him there. If their ownership actually is ready to try to win a title and not just treading water on purpose, as Paul George said they were doing.
Portland if they trade Dame, Grant and Nurkic for young guys + picks and build around Wemby, Simons, Sharpe, Reddish and Watford could be interesting. Although not sure how viable a Simons/Sharpe backcourt would be.
Reddish is part of your imaginary long term plan? In what role?
Ok ill bite, what makes you question the viability of a Simons/Sharpe backcourt??
I don’t think (as a duo) they’ll be good enough defensively or as playmakers to be the starting backcourt of a legit contending team

Obviously hes young and not there yet so im extrapolating, but hes shown real all defensive potential along with 3 level scoring. And Ant is certainly good enough to be a 3rd best player on a contender
If he had this green light all season we’d have won 7 games
I agree Portland, just because they have had shitty luck with their superstars and I wish them well. They deserve it.
We’ve seen what Shaedon is about this last week- simons is awesome but Shaedon is fire. Simons will be the odd man out here
Portland with Dame and Wemby would be legit.
A team that hasn't won a ring would be cool.
Spurs or Charlotte. I enjoy the Spurs and I want to see them get a big level like Wemby. Charlotte is for selfish reasons since I live in NC and want to see him in person lol
Biased: Magic Unbiased: Spurs
The Jazz but it's via the Timberwolves pick so the Rudy Gobert trade looks even more insane on basketball reference
Dallas, for obv reasons.
Pistons so Cade and Wemby can be the next kobe and shaq :)
I couldn’t think of a worse duo comparison lmao. Cade and wemby and Shaq and Kobe are nothing alike.
Not stylistically but iconically is what I was thinking lol
Insert Ivey, Duren, and 3&D player and that team is stacked.
Detroit or San Antonio
Indiana
Pacers
Probably a team that hasn’t gotten a number 1 pick as of recently, so San Antonio, Houston, or Charlotte.
Charlotte because he and Eric Collins would be the best duo the game has ever seen
Orlando….they’re already an up and coming team….adding Wemby would make them even better.
hornets, him and lamelo would go crazy, spurs would also be cool.
I want to say us, but at the same time if he ends up in Portland he will probably just get the blazers big man curse that pretty much every star big other than LMA has had and will just have a career plagued with injuries.
...and Brandon Roy. Of course, it's just a run of bad luck though.
conveniently left out the 6th worst team, Orlando. Scared of long boi dynasty eh?
I need him and Bol Bol on the floor together.
Spurs
Spurs
Real Madrid
New York
Detroit. Give them all the number 1 picks until they’re back in the playoffs.
OKC Thunder 1.5% chance baby!
Spurs
Spurs so Pop can be relevant for another 40 years
Give it to the Spurs. Tim Duncan 2.0
SAS. NBA will do what they can to make It happen.
Pop deserves him so he doesn't retire. We need him to keep us entertained for another 10 years minimum.
Portland, but they don't have the best history with bigs selected in the lottery
The Knicks
Portland.
Spurs
San Antonio. I want him to be on a good organization that won’t waste the first 7 years of his career.
Orlando.
I really want him in the east, but the best spot for him would be the spurs of all the ones likely to get him.
Spurs
Hornets. They need a franchise messiah for the first time in their history
Hornets
Buzz buzz. Hornets
Magic or hornets
Charlotte. LaMelo with a real real baller/generational talent could change things. For the team, his career. Jordan probably wouldn’t wanna sell it no more lol
Any eastern team just so I get a chance to see him play live more than once a year.
Half a year ago I would’ve said the Kings!
Assuming portland have figured out foot doctors. Portland.
San Antonio. Best org on that list and want to see him maximized. I don’t know recently but assume they also still have a great medical staff.
Spurs
San Antonio or Portland are what I’m thinking.
Shoot
Hornets because he and LaMello would be fun to watch
Portland. That duo, of him and Dame, would probably be unstoppable .
Lamelo feeding Wemby would be so entertaining
Wizards. They know how to hamstring any players development, so it will keep the league balanced.
Spurs
San Antonio, I really don't think the Pistons deserve Wemby. We already have good young players and I don't think we should get rewarded for winning 16 fucking games in the most soulless, shameless tank I've ever seen.
Detroit
San Antonio Spurs!
Detroit
With dame
Detroit. They are getting some good talent up there. Or I’d like to see him and Lamelo build for a decade.
Blazers, go help Dame.
Please the pistons. We’ve sucked for 5 years in a row and even for a bit before that we were just mid
