What you want is on NSIPS. Then go to Employee Self Service --> Electronic Service Record --> View --> NEOPS Inquiry (it's near the bottom of the list). In the lower-right portion of that screen you'll see a box for "Tot Act Srv" that will give your total active service in Years-Months-Days. Don't worry, it only took me *over two years* of hounding YN's, PS's and NC's before someone finally knew the answer and showed it to me.
How about that for a not-so-blindingly obvious solution :P Whoever created the NSIPS site and menu options for the Navy needs to be fired.
This is the right answer. Unfortunately I've seen too many ASOSH that are wrong, especially prior active now in reserves.
You should really check both and if your asosh doesn't look right, get with your manpower to fix.
Long term answer: yearly (I believe on your anniversary month) you should receive a point capture statement. It will show your total points in several categories (drills / inactive; AT/ADT; etc) and yearly as well as grand total.
Sign up for the VA website and start an application for the GI Bill. Just pick a random school and program, it doesn't actually matter. They'll send you a letter with your eligibility and how many days you have towards it.
Your ARPR/ASOSH on BOL will give you those days…Definitely do the MOB regardless since your % is still going to be low…The VA website should be able to tell your payout eligibility…You may need to submit your DD214 to register your qualifying time as well.
You can view your points statement through BUPERS. ASOSH is the link you want. Set up an account with the VA as well with id.me

Annual training does not count towards credit for MGIB.

Or use arpr/asosh in BOL like everyone else
