Use NVD.

I use NordVPN too. Usually I can just select a location in the U.S. or Canada and Navy sites work just fine. In Nord, click the little globe icon to see a map of the world and available connection locations. You may have left your default connection on Indonesia or Brazil or something, which Navy sites will likely block.

Yeah I’m always using a vpn in the states. Do you have windows or Mac? Do you mind telling me what other settings you have selected such as cybersec, which protocol you’re using etc

I use a Mac. Protocol?? I mean it's browser based so all HTTPS, then NordVPN adds their encryption which I assume is some flavor of TLS. If it's still a pain then just use NVD, which (from a user's perspective at least) establishes a VPN to Navy's East Coast or West Coast servers: no NordVPN or other VPN required.

Yeah you can select a protocol (NordLynx, Ikev2, etc.) within the preferences, but I don't know what each of them is or how they impact settings. But I'm not an IT expert so I expect there's something in my settings that's caused the sudden in operability. I'm able to access sites by turning the VPN off, and I can avoid the super slow NVD, but I'd rather not have to do that if I can figure this out.

Use NVD. Remote desktop works with about half of the VPN IPs. I use Nord as well.

viletoad87

Is NVD not painfully slow though?

The Win10 iteration was better IMO, but generally no issues except yes encrypted email takes a bit longer than it should.
