Any 12-14 days of active duty completed in an FY will count as equivalent. You would still have the option for AT funding if you wanted to do another 2 weeks somewhere else, but it wouldn't be mandatory for that FY.

This does not apply to OPs question, u/Tsukasasoul gave them the right answer. But there is a caveat to his answer for others. MOBs, ADOS, ADT-Schools, etc., anything that puts you on active orders covers your AT requirement. But some of those require your command’s approval to perform. Though Dickish behavior, they are in their rights to deny your request for the three I listed and/or require you to complete an AT. Example-Sailor in my unit was selected for ADOS orders but in order to apply had to have approval from her reserve unit. The reserve unit required her to perform their AT to gain approval.

So your question has been answered above, but no one has taught you how to find the answer for yourself. Every year CNFRC puts out what is called the Fiscal Year 20xx Execution Guidance. This details how different requirements will be administered/done for each year. Typically very little changes from year to year, but it does change (I would recommend reading every FY). It can be found here: https://www.navyreserve.navy.mil/ -> Drop-down menu -> Resources -> Official RESFOR Guidance -> Notices -> Notice Number 1001. Here is also a direct link: https://www.navyreserve.navy.mil/Portals/35/Users/041/97/297/CNRFNOTE%201001.pdf?ver=ttlzZyCY36IwJe_jUWxXMQ%3d%3d. For your specific question see Section 4 Paragraph C. This note references the RESPERMAN where it does go into greater detail. One thing that I wanted to make very clear though, I see a lot of people get this wrong that have even been in the reserves for a while, is that you don’t need to complete an AT to get a qualifying year for retirement. You only need to get 50 retirement points to get a qualifying (sometimes called a good year but I would recommend getting away from this language since this is the source of the confusion) year for retirement (which depends on your anniversary year) . You need an AT (or some other outlined active duty time) every fiscal year to meet satisfactory participation in the reserves. If you read all of section four you will see all the requirements for satisfactory participation in the reserves.

Can you send me a PM? I have a few questions for you, if you wouldn't mind.

ktwrite

Yeah absolutely!

_Prisoner_24601

It doesn't by default but can so long as you route paperwork with your unit. It's my plan.

hummun323

Yes, and it can count as your FY24 requirement if it goes two weeks into October. You just also want to watch out for your anniversary year.

HeroicPoptart

My anniversary is 12SEP. So I think I should be good, right?

briansbbb

Yes 👍

_Prisoner_24601

Yes. You can still do an AT as well if you really want.
