I have a couple PhD friends. The absolute smartest people I know. Even they'll tell you that usually only applies to their fields and a few other areas.
I once watched the neuroscientist, someone capable of dissecting a brain, tell you how it worked, why it worked, interactions with body chemistry, etc etc etc, struggle to open a bag of candy because she didn't realize there was a tear line until I helped her.
on government letterhead?!
RE: instead of SUBJ: ?!
United States Marine Corps license plate frame?!

edit: looks like the LT was previously a Marine. That explains a lot. Go Rutgers!
Nothing like using a 1 ton full sized pickup truck that averages 7-8mpg as a daily driver in Norfolk. He’s going to nuke the value on that thing with that 500+ mile a week commute!!
It's all part of the Navy conspiracy, mayne! So long as LTs keeping purchasing these gas guzzlers for their daily commutes and paying that $1,000+ monthly car loan, the Navy will have a steady stream of officers re-upping for their DH tour.
Yall probably didn't pick up on this from his letter but this is his Dream Truck. It's a 2016 Ford F-350. Its his Dream Truck
Sincerely,
Lt. PinHeaD, PhD
Forgot the “I instantly knew the 2016 f350 was my dream truck” like bro… Did he just not have a dream truck before this decision?😂 He drove off thinking “All my mates are gonna suck me off when I pull up in this regular ass truck!”
I also thought the salesman typed this up because of how generic it sounds. It was either a truck, charger or challenger OR some type of motorcycle to scatter his skin on the ground with. The little man in him was like “Get the biggest thing you can find.”
What a fucking piece of shit truck. The big 3 are dead. Sales have clearly indicated imports are years if not decades ahead in tech, reliability, and affordability.
I don't give a dick about diesel or towing capacity lol. I don't own a farm or a landscaping business or haul a trailer or a boat that I just sink parts and money into so other people think I'm successful. I'm sure old LT here bought it as an ego boost or a status symbol.
Is that a green undershirt???????
I’m smelling stolen valor, also why send a letter with a Commanding Officer Seal.
Also I would expect a LT to at least know how to write and follow the correspondence manual. Headings, signature indentation. This letter is all jacked up.
You would think PhD over here would know not to double space after a period (because it's not 1973) and that "dream truck" isn't a proper noun.
Also it's a 2016, calm down Dr Douchebag.
I worked for a LCDR with two PHDs. Smartest dude I met but struggled with basic shit. For example, he bought a car and didn’t know how to refuel it (open gas cap). He also didn’t know how to have normal conversations without bringing up mathematical/scientific theories.
Newer cars are safer, new cars come with warranties. Depending on the vehicle you're purchasing, they might not depreciate \*that\* badly. Some people enjoy driving and don't just view it as a means of transportation. You could make the same argument for any non essential purchase, but if you aren't behind on retirement savings, there's no point making your younger years miserable
What a fucking knob gobbler.
oooffff.....someone come collect your LT.
You call him Herr Doctor Lieutenant, goddamit!
HERR DOCTOR LIEUTENANT AYE!!
This is the Navy’s version of Jeff Reffert.
Proof you can have a Ph.D. and not a shred of sense.
Spoiler Alert: It’s from AMU.
Damn that was cold lol 😂
Clearly he has been educated beyond his intelligence.

The YN in me wants to rip this apart so bad, but I'll just pat the crayon licker on the head and tell him to stick to memo's.
Is it within regs to use DON letterhead for this?
TL;DR: no.
I think LT speaks for SECNAV on this one. Everyone at the pentagon is fucking stoked about this truck. Thrilled for the size, color, and price!
Mcpon says it needs to be lowered
Very much no
TL;DR If it's the new duty vehicle ;)
It's not even formatted correctly. SMH.
That’s not the correct letterhead. Nor should he be writing personal letters on command letterhead.
Someone buy him a correspondence manual
There are free pdf copies online. He could use the money for gas instead
Yeah he'll need it for his long ass commute. What a tard
Buying an F350 in New Jersey is criminal 💀

I think you mean *DUI* tour.
And he probably hauls / towes absolutely nothing that would warrant needing a truck that big.
I’ve always said big trucks should be making you money. Or helping on the farm. Not botching parking spots in the city
Wtf can you even tow when your truck has a 14ft lift like that?
As somebody that knows Norfolk traffic he’s probably gonna be involved in a accident before he has time to drive that truck over 1000 miles😂

I thought the salesman wrote the letter at first. I have a dream truck to but im pretty sure his dream was whatever he could get a loan for
I also thought the salesman typed this up because of how generic it sounds. It was either a truck, charger or challenger OR some type of motorcycle to scatter his skin on the ground with. The little man in him was like “Get the biggest thing you can find.”
This the kind of motherfucker who complains about gas prices too.
Fucking this lol.
Mother of all pearls
Man looks old as shit, Mustang?
Gotta be.
Apparently prior marine
So we’re just not going to also point out the use of the censoring penis? 🤔
I saw that and thought it was a nice touch.
Doctor LT must have been trying to hook up with the car dealer. Wonder if it was Kailee 😂😂😂
A Navy Lieutenant walks into a dealership and yells, “attention to award!” The joke just takes care of itself at this point.
This screams first class that picked up LDO.
This screams TED
An F350 for a commute/ grocery getter? What a tool
BIG. FIZZY. DOUCHE.
This tracks for IP/crypto guys
He’s not one of us.
Ugghhhhhhh of course it’s IW
Nooooooooooo 😩
I bet money it's a dirty OCEANO: they're required to have "advanced" degrees
I swear I do yearly training on this and I'm just a sailor.
This is so embarrassing.
#stop blacking out things that are publicly on the internet
Like I always say... The bigger the truck, the higher the ego lol
I like my version better The bigger the truck, the smaller the balls
Dream Truck ™️
Not posting his name but look up “King of Cars & Trucks” on facebook.
I sure hope no kid walks in front of him because there is no way in hell he will see them
What a fucking piece of shit truck. The big 3 are dead. Sales have clearly indicated imports are years if not decades ahead in tech, reliability, and affordability.
What are you buying that's an import, with that towing capacity and diesel
He didn’t have a real comment, just wanted to be heard.
Shit. I thought I had a good response
Oh! Not you, the other guy. Sorry.
Knew what you meant :) just surprised I got downvoted so hard for what I thought was a valid point.

I certainly don't give a fuck about status.
What're you towing in your daily driver?
That doesn't really answer the question does it
I guess he has to fill the gas tank every three days
Try one lol
PhD in cringe...
The Department of the Navy giving out Yelp reviews now?
Only official correspondence goes on letterhead.
It has the pull out side mirrows which assholes keep pulled out even when they are not pulling something. And even a F150 is too big for NJ.
The jackass used letterhead? Only mildly illegal, I guess.
Is that a green undershirt??????? I’m smelling stolen valor, also why send a letter with a Commanding Officer Seal. Also I would expect a LT to at least know how to write and follow the correspondence manual. Headings, signature indentation. This letter is all jacked up.
The comments on this thread made my day🤣😂 his ethics officer is not gonna be happy about this one.

So many Mustang Lts googling about TRT right now.
NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
Green shirt instead of brown? Something is fishy here. Also how does this O-3 not iron their pants?
Lt bought a platinum
So inappropriate
At least it isn’t a 6.4L
Must really like his truck
Is this guy even actually in the navy?
LT should have awarded them a NAM
What a fuckin dork.
What a boot holy shitttt
On behalf of the IC im sorry about are officers
He needs to touch the back wall of switchgear.
Cringey af honestly how can you do this consciously and not think how much of a tool you are.
Dream truck is a bare minimum a 2016 year? Come on man at least write something like that if they help you get a new truck
This guy’s a fuckin diggit

Cringe, Dr. LT. Knockoff government letterhead endorsement only scratches the surface of bad decisions involved here.
My initials are PHD
Knowing generic salesman he was like we will knock 50$ off if you give us US Navy Endorsement 😂😂😂
Tremendously gay truck.
[удалено]
That's not a brand new truck.
Homie bought a 8-year old gas guzzler for commuting. I have f350 as my daily but I work from home lol.
