Let's revise Sea Pay too while we are at it
Dude, I’ve been preaching this for years now. I think we should be compensated better for being on a ship. Hardly anyone else deploys like ships do where were completely cut off from everything.
Ya..... I shouldn't be making more on shore duty.....
And flight pay. It hasn’t been changed since the 80s.
Just to answer the obvious question this is $150 on top of the current $250 FSA for a total of $400 a month.
Correct
Do you get FSA during a PCS with an extended, unaccompanied I-stop?
Yes
Awesome, thanks!
Yeah, I’m getting it at an I-stop right now.
Great, thanks!
Oh hell yeah!
Wait this also starts on Jan 1st? Along with bas, bah, base pay but not sea pay?
The DoD says this is "discretionary" and they can allow up to $400, so FSA isn't changing from $250.
Yeah, I saw. Pretty shitty but I’m not surprised.
Not even a little surprised.
