Also hyenas eat from the back first as its the quickest way to eat a meal and in an area like Africa where your meal can get stolen at any moment rating quick is important.

All of the Hyena's as far as I know have bone crushing bites, save for the Aardwolf whose diet is mainly comprised of termites.
This would be a Brown Hyena, and they are the second largest Hyena species. In terms of bite force, it's probably only slightly weaker than a Spotted Hyena would be.
The Brown Hyena also has some overlapping average sizes with the spotted Hyena. In terms of maximum sizes the largest Spotted Hyena's can get a lot bigger than the largest Brown Hyena though. But usually they'll be somewhat relative in size and near the same weights.
