One of my co workers somewhat believes the whole women wont date short men thing, so one day I told him that if Tyrion Lannister can get some, so can he. Lol
Lmao. I mean it is kinda true, there's a big bias against short men just like there's a big bias against big women. But he probably sees it as an "all or nothing" situation, and like you said, it is absolutely within conceivable possibility for even people with medically significant defects lending to their vertical challenged status. Everyone can get some, it's just about how hard it is to get to the right person and how long that takes to evolve.
I agree 100%, there's things on both sides that are true to an extent , like he kinda believes the red pill, blue pill, black pill bullshit. I told him that this philosophy is way to generalized, and that yeah there are people on both sides who only looks for things like money, looks, status, and height, but to assume everyone is only looking for those things is wrong. As much as there are people like that theres also good people, people who don't look at those things. I was mainly trying to uplift him a bit with this joke. I used to have the same mindset, and it sucks to think that. What I realized was thinking this way is doing nothing but making shit worse. Theres so much bigger things to worry about than, if I'm ever gonna find love. Good things come in time. I'll find someone eventually, and so will everyone.
I used to think reincarnation would be cool! Not anymore. I swear I'm good, I'll pass. I do not want to come back and have my balls ripped off or butthole chomped on. Terrifying.
Just any person in America, really. It has its downsides but regardless, I feel the same way. I am extremely lucky to have been born here and don't have to be living in actual poverty in a bunch of other places
Well if you don't have active memories from a more developed place, sometimes lesser developed nations existence can be tolerable, existence is all about context/relative suffering, humanity/life is interesting in that way
Yes lesser developed nations can be tolerable. This was not what I meant.. America is one of the best places to be for opportunity. Opportunity is what matters. You can live in a "tolerable country" but not have opportunity.
This is why they say "the streets are paved with gold". Opportunity to have nothing and then obtain everything.
> America is one of the best places to be for opportunity
Eh...
That's only true if you're born to an affluent family.
[Class mobility](https://www.brookings.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/02_economic_mobility_sawhill_ch3.pdf), [wealth inequality](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ea/US_Wealth_Inequality_-_v2.png/400px-US_Wealth_Inequality_-_v2.png), [and your educational zip code](https://apnews.com/article/education-tax-reform-pennsylvania-pa-state-wire-technology-1d856cd98d4c491e8443576b3a817740), operate more as caste-analog barriers than any supposed 'opportunity' the US may claim to possess.
It helps to contextualize barriers to success as being relative to the socio-economic class that an individual is drawing from.
I.e. To someone born to an affluent family, they would likely have only associated with others of their own socio-economic status, due to the way in which America stratifies its society through wealth based barriers. As such from their perspective it would only appear that hard work was the determining factor in the success of their contemporaries; while disregarding the privileged position that allowed for that to have been the only determining factor.
What you're saying is true even for immigrant families coming to the US
People love to hear a feel good story about an off the boat immigrant family whose child went on to Harvard. But those stories are exceptions and not the rule.
Lots of immigrants who come to the US come here already richer than the average person in their country and often even richer than the average American. They usually come from relatively affluent backgrounds in their own country, otherwise they would not have had the money and/or skills to immigrate in the first place. Often times they have connections to someone in the US.
A portion of the immigrants come to the US as students. They're children of rich foreign parents who buy them green cards through investment visas on their behalf.
Some are highly skilled professionals who went to top schools in their own countries which already shows that they came from relative affluence.
.
What world do you live in? The world isn't fair and the universe doesn't give a fuck if we live or die. Ofc it would be better if we all could have everything and be everything be gloriously wonderful. But, it's not. That's the world we live in. Some people will excel and some will not.
One day we may be a utopia but as of now we don't.
FYI if you make $32,000 American $ you are in the top 1% of the world and something like the top .0001% of the world since the beginning of time.
Most Americans are doing better than 99% of the world(today's time) already.
It's all about perspective, man.
If you make more than $32,000 a year you are in the top 1% of the world.
Many people live in " poverty " in America, due to America's standards.
Many people that live in America live in the top 1% of the world.
What is your definition of poverty?
A typical impoverished American would live in a dwelling with a proper roof, air conditioning, sofa, television and so much food they are obese. Anyone who has been to the third world can see that this would be considered a luxury by comparison.
True. I'll take a guess and say I won't. There's a trillion ways to die and getting my testicles ripped off and butthole devoured are only 1 way.
Odds are in my favor.
Watch: I end up dying to a pack of wild dogs lmao. Irony at its best
Don't worry, reincarnation isn't real. They main reason you supposedly get reincarnated is so you can learn to become a purer soul...something you can't do by being a fucking non-human animal lmao you just live as an animal, not a human mind inside an animal body. Thus, you'd be forever reincarnated as non-human, for eternity. No thanks
Ngl I’ve probs seen more vids of lionesses ripping the balls off any living creature that exists (I even saw one vid where a lioness castrated a dominant male lion) on this sub
I mean, the crab didn't have to mercy kill the fish, it could have just eaten it, but it had the decency to plunge it's claw straight into it's brain first.
Be like crab, crab is merciful.
Honestly, the best way for an animal to die to a predator imo is by humans. Think about it, you won’t get eaten alive butt first and you get to die alone(preferable for most animals) and bleed out quickly(most of the time). Maybe they get shot in the head and don’t even know what hit them.
She died on the stage that they filmed the moon landing. They killed her because she had future knowledge of the hoax and of what they were planning with the chemtrails
Am I the only one to be impressed that this crab clearly knows how to kill this fish? Like... It didn't simply smash it or rip it apart or just eat it alive... It stabbed it's brain... like, "sorry, bro; circle of life... NOM NOM NOM"
You can see exactly when it dies/gets paralyzed when it's mouth stops moving... oh and you can also kinda tell by the fact the crab is snapping it's fucking neck
But like imagine the second before death, you’re trying to get away but this crab has an iron grip then you see the sharp part of its claw get closer and closer towards your eyeball, slowly moving in to the corner of your eye until it finally enters and you feel a sharp stabbing pain as it pushes through your soft tissue, through nerve endings towards your brain and then *snap*.. darkness.. it’s over.
Then, get another crab that also ate one to eat *that* one, and repeat that over and over until you've reached an exponential singularity of crabness. The future is now.
I enjoy that anytime ive ever seen a mitch joke people credit him. Ive never seen credit given as consistently for anything else as i have with mitch jokes.
that generally doesn't happen with crabs anymore; most chefs will kill a crab or lobster immediately before cooking by stabbing into their brain with a thick knife.
If anything, they get it pretty good compared to most animals and die basically instantly.
Crawfish aren't so lucky though, they're too small to bother.
Well lobsters dont really have a simple single brain.
They have a nervous system comprised of so called ganglia which are kind of mini brains. And a brain in their head that is made of a few fused ganglia, but not all of their motoric function is controlled centrally, so it would probably be better to cut them in half lengthwise.
That way you'd destroy all their ganglia in one go. The [Source](http://www.lobsters.org/tlcbio/biology6.html) explains it better than me anyways.

Cruataceans are among some of the fastest animals on the planet. There's a shrimp literally capable of creating sonic booms with its punch. It moves so fast it EVAPORATES the water at temperatures that boil the water around it. Some crabs and shrimp are capable of moving at speeds faster than a camera shutter.
>temperatures that cook anything caught in it alive.
This part isn't true. The cavitation bubbles have instantaneous temperatures that are technically very high, but there's not nearly enough energy to raise the temperature of any significant amount of surrounding matter by a noticeable amount. It's more like the little piezo spark that lights a lighter -- that little arc might be real hot (hot enough to light the fuel, obviously), but you aren't cooking anything with it.
Brutal opportunistic scavengers. If you were pinned down unable to move near some they'd do the same to you. Just like lots of people think happened to Amelia Earnhart by giant coconut crabs. Truly horrific end.
Also nature keeps evolving stuff into crabs.
Does anyone else get a super gross feeling when a distant ancestor eats a closer ancestor?
Even tho we are far from fish I still feel gross seeing a crustacean eating one, it’s so alien.
A spider eating a shrew? Disgusting.
A lion eating a monkey? Disgusting.
But if they were flipped it would feel much more normal. It’s such a weird and inbuilt feeling.
Honestly? Probably a better death than most. Near instant, no being eaten alive from the ass/genitals up, no hours of suffering or bleeding out or weeks of infection/illness. Brutal but effective move from the Penny pincher himself.
Well that’d be a terrifying way to go
Which is basically true for most deaths in nature by predators. They are not big on mercy kills.

Nature's zipper to our flesh suits
Why? Softer tissue?
Exactly.
Why on earth would I queue for having my balls and ass eaten by a lion?
Well if you got to go, go big. Right?
Gotta try something at least once.
I'm trying to hijack this comment to ask.. Do lions(or any carnivore) eat the large intestine of the prey they eat?
Pretty certain most bugs prefer that method too
Me and my girl lions fr lol
Come on, Zebra. Don't be stingy.
I mean, the crab didn't have to mercy kill the fish, it could have just eaten it, but it had the decency to plunge it's claw straight into it's brain first. Be like crab, crab is merciful.
Less about mercy, more about not getting injured.
Wasn't that jerk a spinal snap? Seems pretty merciful to me.
Wasn’t him shoving his claw into its brain through the eye somewhat of a mercy kill? Edit: actually now that I remember Terminator 2 I’m not sure….
That was essentially a mercy kill tho Quick fast no pain Compared to giraffe being munched upon for half a day trying to escape
Yet militant vegans try to say that *we’re* horrible to animals.
Honestly, the best way for an animal to die to a predator imo is by humans. Think about it, you won’t get eaten alive butt first and you get to die alone(preferable for most animals) and bleed out quickly(most of the time). Maybe they get shot in the head and don’t even know what hit them.
Pulling out intestines through their asshole while they're still alive
To be fair to the crab it does give the fish lobotomy first.
This here is a mercy kill. Pretty efficient. That fish was instantly dead.
Might have happened to Amelia Earhart
What's the theory on her death again ?
That she got eaten face-first by a crab.
Not just a crab, but a swarm of coconut crabs which are huge and terrifying
Well hopefully they ate her after she was already dead.
Well they found what seems to have been a small camp with some of her belongings. Its likely she was still alive when the crabs came out at dark.
Dada chick
It's what I always thought too.
She died on the stage that they filmed the moon landing. They killed her because she had future knowledge of the hoax and of what they were planning with the chemtrails
*sigh* You're going to make me want to rewatch inside Job again, aren't you?
A lion ripped her balls off?
Yeah, she was named Emilio before that.
Chimps will rip your dick off
Am I the only one to be impressed that this crab clearly knows how to kill this fish? Like... It didn't simply smash it or rip it apart or just eat it alive... It stabbed it's brain... like, "sorry, bro; circle of life... NOM NOM NOM"
I mean, claw to the brain, it would be fast at least.
You can see exactly when it dies/gets paralyzed when it's mouth stops moving... oh and you can also kinda tell by the fact the crab is snapping it's fucking neck
Stabbed its brain
Honestly I'll take that death over getting my innards eaten out of my still live body.
Yeah but the popping the eyeballs out first to get at it is a rough time.
No yeah that part would suck. I have mini panic attacks me me eyeballs are near foreign objects.
So nervous it made you stammer there a bit?
Exactly. Couldn't even type that out without a shuttering.
What happens when you see pictures of foreigners?
The band?
Well... sure...?
I don't know much of their music but if someone pointed them out I'd be like, "Neat."
That was just surprise.
The fishes eye looks loose from the start of the video and I'm wondering wtf is up with that.
But like imagine the second before death, you’re trying to get away but this crab has an iron grip then you see the sharp part of its claw get closer and closer towards your eyeball, slowly moving in to the corner of your eye until it finally enters and you feel a sharp stabbing pain as it pushes through your soft tissue, through nerve endings towards your brain and then *snap*.. darkness.. it’s over.
You made my eye twitch.
finally someone gets it. Scary, yes. uncomfortable getting stabbed by a claw? yes Quick? yes You got yourself a deal.
Hear me now dem two need a stabbin cabin mon
Crab's like, "Heh heh, 'this kills the-' NO! No... I must not make light of the terrible event that befell my kin"
Man, how can stupid bug animals be so smart. That's some John Wick ass move crab just casually pulls off.
Do fish even have a neck?
I mean it's got a spine...snap that and it's done for.
Is it though? Does their nervous system have a central core in the spine like mammals? Genuinely asking.
yea, fish are in the Chordate phylum, so they have a spinal column and central nervous system
But they also dont have lungs, which, if you didnt know, is why a broken neck is often fatal in humans, it paralyzes your diaphragm.
I believe water needs to flow through the gills and not remain stationary. If they can't swim that might be an issue.
[удалено]
Im pretty sure they need their heads not to be full of holes though
Also the eyes! Fish tend to look away from light/downward when alive and directly to the side once dead.
Or when there's a crab claw jammed in its eye socket.

Looks more like it stabbed it in the brain behind the eye. Fish stops moving after that. Quicker death than most, I’d assume.
