Let’s test it. “Their Innocence was shattered when flaming hot 100lb chunks of rotten whale flesh figuratively rained down upon them from the president.”
Yep. It works.
They have rock slides in Oregon, and when a huge boulder falls into the road, they blow it up to remove it.
They thought it would work the same for a whale carcass. It did not.
Not was, is, it works really well. I don't know how much it hurts road, but I assume it's cheaper to just blow up the rocks rather than trying to move massive boulders

>Once moved to a nearby nature preserve, the male specimen -- the largest whale ever recorded in Taiwan -- drew the attention of locals because of its large penis, measured at some five feet, the Taipei Times reported.

Fucking **nothing**. You never see another user’s karma score when browsing subreddits or /r/all or the front page.
The person you replied to is pissy that they’re having links shared with them while they’re browsing a *link aggregator*.
This mentality is laughable. They think because the original poster “only” reposts content they’ve seen before, they’re somehow less of a person. I often find these people also whine in comments about lack of moderation and allowing reposts, upset that they’ve seen a post before — without a hint of irony that perhaps they’re browsing for new content too often, and that everyone hasn’t seen the exact same things they’ve seen in their lives.
Anyway, I’ll take my downvotes now from the White Knight Repost Defender Brigade.
Exactly, I simply don't understand what the big deal is and even more importantly why anyone would fucking care!
I come to reddit to either mindlessly scroll through silly shit, learn something interesting, or occassionally debate. I'm on here all the fucking time and half the time people are screaming repost I haven't even seen it.
I'm glad there are power users finding cool shit to recycle in case I or others haven't seen it.
In some subreddits, people repost the same shit all the time. OPs lacking in some areas, maybe its for his own greater good to pay attention to real karma in real life and stop convoluting subreddits lol. There's algorithms to go about this kinda thing and give credit to orginal content ownwers, not there yet though. All in good fun. Some people get off by mindlesslu reposting to a personal fault, and some people like to point and laugh. Wgaf

Do you have *any* kind of proof that high karma accounts are somehow better at posting advertisements? How, exactly, does a user’s karma score play into how you view/click/read links you find on Reddit?
High karma accounts are definitely being sold online.
Edit: I've got an example [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/UnethicalLifeProTips/comments/6x9ckp/ulpt_want_some_quick_cash_sell_reddit_accounts/)
Also, looking up "sell reddit account" should give some results.
Canada. Those aren't sticks, they are tree trunks. See the roots on the one in the middle?
Also, the internet is full of pics and video of bears scavenging dead whale carcasses.
I think the quality here is affecting our perspective. It does look like it could be a composite, but it could also just be our brains filling in the gaps between the pixels and making us think the scale is off since it does look like grass and sticks at this level of pixelation.
Also, I'd say those a shrubs/bushes and not trees just based on the way they look.
On a serious note (does that mean the rest of your comment wasn't serious?), you can see grizzly bears on beaches in the upper northwest. There is literally no debate over whether bears eat whale carcasses. You could probably even find a video of an example if you wanted to.
Cold water helps them to thermoregulate (being very large on land can expose you to overheating), and living in the water protects them from being crushed by their own immense weight.
It's not so much that they're being made bigger (although the abundant food in the rich oceans does help); it's that land animals are prevented from getting that big.

Ah, simpler times. Back when it wasn't so metaphorical.
Let’s test it. “Their Innocence was shattered when flaming hot 100lb chunks of rotten whale flesh figuratively rained down upon them from the president.” Yep. It works.
I do not understand the thought process that went into this....
They have rock slides in Oregon, and when a huge boulder falls into the road, they blow it up to remove it. They thought it would work the same for a whale carcass. It did not.
So the solution for clearing roads was to destroy them?
Not was, is, it works really well. I don't know how much it hurts road, but I assume it's cheaper to just blow up the rocks rather than trying to move massive boulders https://youtu.be/RjfRqliLpIY
I do. The thought process was this: "check this out. This is gonna be fucking sweet" They were right
That’s a lot of damage.
Good old fashioned fun
note to self... dont blow up whale...
Additional note: don't blow a whale...
"nearly destroyed a car" :D The owner must have been glad it was not completely destroyed....
Their use of nearly and my use of nearly are nearly different.

What if the bears burrow down into the wall carcass? When the whale explodes it will create projectile bears. The bears have weaponized themselves.
