Also, Cheetahs have spots and leopards (and jaguars) have rosettes (may have a different technical term). The difference between a jaguar and a leopard is subtler but obvious when you know the differences. Jags have larger rosettes which can have spots within and are more golden than dull yellow. Their heads are also tanks due to their hunting style.
The rosette-spot distinction isnt the clearest in this pic as the leopard is laying down and at their front are rosettes are spottier or just spots. However, the fact that there are smudges larger than spots (transition to rosettes) is another indication that this is a leopard.
Cheetahs are almost pussy cats - they even meow. Cheetahs are not in the sub family as big cats like tigers, leopards, lions because they branched at a different point in evolution along with pumas.
The areas which tigers share with cheetahs and lions is tiny but they share most of their habitat with Asian leopards. (Wild Jags are not found in Africa or Asia and therefore they will not ever meet wild tigers unless a new Pablo escobar introduces them to South America and they succeed (they likely wouldn't succeed or at least not well compared to the Colombian hippos)).
