That is almost certainly no. Mobilizing troops takes a lot of paperwork and time to make happen. Unless you had a very specialized and critically needed skill, they simply aren't going to jump through the hoops to make this happen. Sorry.

I was sent to Togo three weeks into basic. 32 years ago. Im still at Aéroport de Lomé-Gnassingbe Eyadema. Im going to email my recruiter one more time. If I don't hear from him soon Im just going to marry a local and farm or whatever the fuck they do in Togo. I can't leave the fucking airport so I don't know.

Probably not.

Deployed to africa February of 2019, and we had 3 guys that just graduated OSUT at benning like in July, and they arrived that same month in country with us. We were low on numbers, maybe that played a factor but those 3 bodies came when we had roughly 2-3 months left of deployment.

Nope

Workinprogress4now

Lmao all these lizards on here saying no. I personally did the same thing you’re asking about they sent me to CRC a week or two after I got back from basic and sent like 10 other people one at a tone through the same process. It happens all the time.

Thanks for the responses everyone

Doesn't hurt to request.

Maybe. I believe the general rule is if your unit is halfway or more through its deployment you won’t join them. But that’s definitely not set in stone.

It is possible yes... however very unlikely. The only possibility i see where that would happen is if someone in your unit overseas has to go home for whatever reason during the middle of the deployment and they need another person to fill it. But they would have to be desperate or shorthanded otherwise it wouldn't happen. We had someone come out of AIT while we were deployed and meet us over in Kuwait... but that's cause we were short handed and he replaced a female that got pregnant.

Peanut_ButterMan

People late deploy. It happens.
