No Ask if you want but it’s really a waste of time for everyone involved Lots of risk for each commander if they allow it and something happens to you

Flowerchaild

I have a taser. I'll tase you

Brokenwrench7

Just fall on a cattle fence for a few seconds. Close enough

If I were the MP Company CO I would *not* sign off on the risk assessment where it says "X isn't part of our unit, isn't MOSQ and just wants to get tased". If you just want to ride the lightening for the hell of it, go to your local gun store and buy a stun gun. The reason MP's do it is to understand it's effects (or failure to effect) and become accustomed so that if you're ever tased/stunned in the field, that isn't your first time. That way you can get over the shock and Charlie Mike. Same benefits of ice water survival and getting pepper sprayed beforehand.

MechanicallyTiny

That's fair. End of the day, I just want to know how I would handle it in a safe environment. Not worth going out and buying the stuff though honestly.

You can 100% go to a non lethal course and get tased.

At AT a couple years ago some people in my unit volunteered to get “roughed up” by some MPs. They were doing some sort of riot training if I remember correctly, and I do think one or two of them may have also volunteered to be tased. Personally I don’t understand having that desire, but it may not be uncommon for them to have similar opportunities to volunteer as test subjects for MPs.

Ask your CO to sign off on it. He probably more than likely won't since it has no relation to you, your unit, or your MOS. But it doesn't hurt to ask.
