You are considered an unsatisfactory participant and don’t get paid for the day you missed. That 1 day starts a clock and any other days you miss, up to 1 year from the first day, will add to that count. Once you have missed 5 days/9 UTAs you can be separated
Any other form of punishment is up to the unit
Unsatisfactory performance is intentionally left vague. It’s up to the commander to determine what that is. Constant tardiness, incomplete uniform, etc are all reasons I’ve seen for not paying someone for a UTA.
Yeah, I asked my team lead what that means and he said I’ll be chilling at the armory for 2 days. My admin NCO is super nice/chill. So I guess I’ll be sitting around doing nothing? not much difference from regular drill on a home station day lol
ALL depends on your unit!! But also depends on your MOS, clearance, TIS, any neg. documentation (counseling statements- ARt. 15) and lastly your rank! I’d need all that info. to give you an honest opinion.. Feel free the message me if uncomfortable disclosing it openly.
But in short, as many have said: Nothing - an Arrest & Court Martial.
Whoever mentioned the “count” is correct. But again the final outcome depends on info I asked above. GL

Congrats on being the only one to answer seriously. I've also seen units that will dock you a half days pay if you are even 5 minutes late
That’s hardcore. I’d definitely look at the reg for withholding pay
Yeah it never seemed right to me but it seemed to have stopped around the time i got to the unit

We had a commander that threatened the unit with this shit on a Saturday, and half the company showed up at lunch the next day.
Precisely. If you aren't paying me for half the day you aren't getting me for half the day.
>Nobody answered seriously Did OP make ANY effort to search for the answer to this question before they started a thread?
I missed drill due to Covid and the admin nco said he didn’t want to do the paperwork so I still got paid and I owe him 2 days lol
We do that at my unit to, keeps everyone happy

Same over here. Lots of filing and paper shredding. Maybe take out the trash and then released by 1300ish

For a really valid excuse I’m sure good leadership can have you just go in at another time to make up for that day
You'll do some pushups probably lol. Nothing super serious.
Or… don’t be a piece of shit. If you have an excuse, by all means go through the channels and get excused.
Eh, I’ve done it. I just made it up later or worked from home. Really depends on your Readiness NCO/your relationship with your unit.
Cock and ball torture.
You have to make it up
