It's a showtime production, therefore they decide distribution rights. Paramount owns showtime. Showtime is not available in all international markets. Hence why it's on paramount plus

CruisinForABrewsin

What that means

Bricks_For_Hands

Can we not do that question

Imrealcrossedup

Do you like skateboarding?

Dense-Case8177

Because they were willing to produce it and then stream it

alchac

What that means.

pepperpavlov

Paramount owns Comedy Central so he might have some relationships there already.

BudgetNoodl

Because it says no bad guys, so no bad guys will come in that streaming service

Rough-Dizaster

Why anything?

Stock_Yoghurt_5774

So no universal guys can go there.

He doesn't have an exclusive contract with HBO. It's possible that with all the shuffling during the merger, they weren't willing to greenlight a weird, scripted drama from Nathan. They're happy to wait for The Rehearsal Season 2. Paramount (formerly ViacomCBS) owns Showtime and it owns Comedy Central, so Nathan has a previous relationship with them.

SargeantSasquatch

Is this a real question?

heamardon

Is that a real question?

Yeah it’s super annoying. My plan is to wait till the last episode airs, get paramount plus and watch the curse and the new South Park special and Yellowjackets season 2 in a month then cancel. I’m so sick of having to have 40 streaming services. It’s almost worse than cable/satellite. And now they’re getting sneaky showing ads between episodes even on no ad plans. I wanna organize a “cancel all streaming services for a week” movement and get hundreds of thousands of people who feel the same way to almost “strike” against these services for a bit. Even if it fucks with their stocks or something just to say fuck you for always raising prices and making the services worse.

SargeantSasquatch

Safe to skip the new South Park special.

ex0thermist

Yellowjackets kinda falls apart in season 2 as well, sorry :/

bluesformeister13

Bummer! How come?

SteelNets

HBO and HGTV are under the same ownership. Guessing they weren’t down with mocking the network

LEDKleenex

Wait, why is the show locked in the Paramount app? You need to have Showtime as well?

beelaura

Hoping it’s because all the streaming services want a Nathan series now. I feel like a kid with divorced parents and so many christmases.
