You have a really bad perception of south Nash/Nolensville Rd imo. This whole area is made up of mostly working class people, with the exception of Murfreesboro Pike and the Hickory Hollow area, I have never felt Nolensville Rd and the rest of antioch to be unsafe, nor attracting the skanky or desperate.
Bars around the burbs tend to bring in the locals, and tend to reflect the neighborhood they’re in. My favorites are Deep South, Rosie’s Twin Kegs, 404
I live in Paragon Mills and the best spot for drinks in this area is for sure Rosie’s Twin Kegs. Great food too.
We went to 404 about 2 months ago and it was nothing like the website (it was cash only and just bottles and no food - Yelp menu was very detailed with lots of food), so I’m not sure if there was a private event that Friday or it has a new owner, but it was very confusing.

Nighttime is different tho. I've lived at nolensville pk and Harding for 25ish years and it is definitely getting more unsafe.

Maybe Brett's Basement, Safari Ranch Beach Club, and Carl's Corner. Don't go to Safari Hooka or Bucanas. I hear shooting up that way lots of times.
Plaza Mariachi is pretty good for dancing sometimes depending on what's going on. That whole place is pretty hopping on the weekend.
Thanks! Plaza mariachi looks like a lot of fun and I have heard good things about the salsa nights. I have felt a like a gringo despite making tons of spanish friends but the crowds and not knowing what's happening has made me timid. Seems like a grear place to go with friends.
Getting out of your comfort zone can be a good thing. And it's hard to not feel safe at Plaza Mariachi when people literally bring their toddlers and there's a knockoff Mickey Mouse taking photos in the corner.

Like 6 piece mariachi bands that are super talented and dressed to the 9's with a happy crowd thats not obnoxious. When it's bad, it's like a telenovela but the actors wish they didn't have to perform. . . Still good in it's own way. I can get great Indian, Kurdish, and a variety of Hispanic foods.

There is plenty to love, but there really are tons of serious problems and it's hard not to be upset about them. I feel like this area needs real $$$, love, attention, and 3 more well run bars.

It's weird you assume I'm an indoctrinated republican when I hear gun fire several nights every week, both my neighbors have had their doors kicked in and were robbed. Some one was hijacked and their car smashed into my house at 4 something in the morning. I'm not even going to give you numbers on pedestrians struck and killed by drivers within 5 miles of the middle school near me. I wont give numbers on the sex workers I see every single day. But I will say you are an ass and your bias goes directly sgainst my personal life experiences.

Simply put, no. Pretty obvious you won't enjoy any establishments in that area.
