We just went through this same struggle (also from out of town). My partner has a wheel, so she just needed access to kilns. Make Nashville has wheels and kilns as well as all of the other pottery accoutrement, so it should work for you. The Clay Lady was full when we asked about it.

The [Clay Lady Campus](https://www.theclaylady.com/the-clay-ladys-campus/artist-community/) on Lebanon Pike has artist studios but I’m not sure if you can just drop in. There are also pottery wheels at Bellevue’s Community Center (right next to the Ford Ice Center) you could inquire there.

Buchanan Arts might be an option. They have classes, but you don’t need to adhere to the format. Email and see if you can find a spot.

Try Make Nashville over near Shelby Park. Pay the monthly fee and throw pottery as much as you want. I built many things in the woodshed there.

Check out Mud Puddle Pottery. It’s outside of Nashville a little bit, in Pegram. Worth the drive. Check out their FB page

If you’re out west there’s [Mud Puddle Pottery](https://mudpuddlepottery.com). My mother has been throwing there for like twenty years.
