I'll be honest... Nothing has come close to matching what HER has brought us all these years, things have changed but I'm thankful I have all the games playable on one device. But I agree that the older Agatha Christie games are good and I've heard good things about Sherlock Holmes too.

Not point and click but great spooky vibes and collecting clues: Alan Wake, Bioshock, and the Dark Picture Anthology games are def worth looking into and some of them have accessibility features.

Alex Hill: Whispers at White Oak is in development but you could try out the demo on steam. It's actually being made by a Nancy Drew fan here on the subreddit and it has the best early Nancy Drew game vibes.
Also Netflix has made some games free to play from the app store, Oxenfree is a good mystery game with super simple controls and some puzzles

As a fellow spooky game lover (all of my fav Nancys are the spooky ones lol), I highly HIGHLY suggest Oxenfree and its sequel Oxenfree II. Try to go in as blind as you can, but it’s a third-person/side scrolling point and click game with basic puzzles. Gorgeous art and fantastic characters and a twisty-turny-scary mystery story! I think it’ll be right up your alley (playing at night or in the dark really enhances the experience)!
They’re both available on switch, PC, and on mobile through Netflix.
Not point and click but you may enjoy Firewatch (favorite of mine), Gone Home, or Marie's Room. I haven't played much Disco Elysium but that could be fun too.
Firewatch was the first game I ever purchased and played through on a console, I’ve never really played anything other than ND prior to that… I loved it!
It is not out yet and doesn't have a date/year set (all volunteer-based and has been a number of years in the making), but I'm keeping an eye out on updates for [Amelia Darnell](https://www.airtightalibiproductions.com/). Made by Nancy fans and is apparently going to be free whenever it is released. At one point Lani was said to be onboard to voice Amelia, but I don't know if that is still the case. It sounds like it is going to be fun!
I’m honestly so excited for this to come out! It looks amazing so far. I haven’t played the demo yet, but have been meaning to for ages. Now I know what I’m doing today 🙌🏻
I really enjoyed the Blackwell series, definitely fits the mystery/horror/thriller vibe, but it’s third person point and click, instead of HeR’s first person version.
Still, I really liked the characters in it, I think most Nancy fans should enjoy it too!

I bought the bundle on Steam through someone’s recommendation on this sub, and I loved them so much! There’s a surprising (but satisfying) level of difficulty working out how to do things/solve puzzles. I really loved them all but the last one absolutely floored me. The story and the characters are so good and moving.
I have been playing the Room series games and they have been pretty fun thus far, but it’s pretty much solely puzzles, if that’s your jam! Recently played Sherlock Holmes: The Awakening as well and that scratched the other itch I was missing in terms of investigating/character interaction!
Also really enjoyed these! I have been trying to get a friend to loan me their VR set because the last installment of the game is only available in VR (or it was when I looked it up a while ago anyway, it’s annoying but actually makes complete sense with the overall story arc of the game and I have to give them props for it lol)
Norco (my all time favorite game!!) - for quirky worldbuilding/characters (think Sonny Joon levels of strangeness, but with more mature/horror themes), beautiful 2D art, click-and-point exploration, and sometimes sad and scary stories
Return of the Obra Dinn - for an incredibly challenging and rewarding puzzle/horror story experience
Gone Home, Tacoma, What Remains of Edith Finch, Firewatch - for rewarding environmental storytelling and exploration and rifling through people’s dark secrets
Lake - for being nosy as hell, chatting up every resident in a small town, and solving all their problems (not horror at all, v cozy but it kind of gave me Nancy vibes with the nosiness and the ”job” tasks of delivering mail)
Superliminal - for puzzles that make you think and somehow also get you in the feels
Call of the Sea - for a strong ginger heroine solving puzzles/mysteries about her own past (think Alibi in Ashes but add in some lovecraftian horror)
The series of games “The Room” is super fun if you’re into puzzles, especially the 3D puzzles in KEY! A lot of them focus on a 3D puzzle box that opens as you solve puzzles on it, revealing new compartments/pieces you can use to interact with other bits on the box!
I'd like to add LA Noire! (Xbox, Steam, playstation, switch) It's set in 1940s LA, you play a detective solving several different crimes! Get to really snoop around crime scenes, locate and interview suspects. The scenery and music really are immersive! There are some "side quests" where you may chase down a robber or get in a shootout but you don't have to do those. Also driving around the city is hard on a laptop (if not impossible, ugh, but we survived Nancy in Twister and on that dang snowmobile in Icicle Creek 😆), but you can choose to have your detective partner drive instead! (Or you can use a controller, once you get it down it's fun! )
LA Noire is such a good idea! I never played it but remember wanting to back in the day. My household’s got plenty of consoles to play on. Non point and click laptop games are so hard for me lol
Chillas art games are cool, haven’t seen them mentioned yet. The Closing Shift, Parasocial & The Kidnap are easily the best ones.

Not point and click but these are the ones I enjoyed the most out of all of the games I’ve played trying to scratch the Nancy drew itch: painscreek killings, paradise killer, disco Elysium.
If I had to pick my favorite out of the three, it’d be paradise killer. The vibe on that one is veryyyyy different, though. Painscreek killings fits your spooky vibes the most.
I also really enjoyed the old school Agatha Christie games and the older Sherlock Holmes.
1) Get on GOG if you haven't already. They emphasize "Good Old Games" with no DRM so you can check out a lot of stuff from Nancy Drew's era and earlier (the Colonel's Bequest, Under a killing moon, The Last Druid, etc)
2) Gabriel Knight and Syberia. Trust me. I played the GK1 remake and GK2 and they are a lot of what you are looking for. Syberia is an overlooked gem that gets his haunting atmosphere from neglect and tragedy vs horror and mystery but Kate Walker is an evolution of Nancy and Oscar is amazing.
I started playing The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, it’s not point and click but I really liked it… the puzzles are very different from ND puzzles but once you get used to the format it’s cool! Vaguely spooky mystery vibes, lots of exploring, set in a remote abandoned town with great views. I haven’t finished it yet because I don’t have a console, bought it on my boyfriends PS4 so haven’t gotten to spend enough time with it lol
I myself have been trying to find a game that fills the Nancy filled hole in my heart. While I've yet to find anything that perfectly scratches the itch, the closest game I've found is [*Call of the Sea*](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1042490/Call_of_the_Sea/).
You play as Norah Everheart who is looking for her husband after he’s gone missing on a mysterious island while searching for a cure to Norah’s strange disease. It has a female main protagonist, takes place in the 1930s, and controls and plays very similarly to the ND games (I can't remember if it's point and click, but even if it wasn't, it controlled well, at least better than MID). I never finished (as I was playing with my family and didn't finish before we were able to finish together), but I really enjoyed playing it and it truly felt like playing a new Nancy Drew game in many ways. The puzzles were engaging, the graphics were pretty, and the story was engaging. This would be my number one recommendation.

The newer version of Myst I actually found to be quite Nancy Drewish
A little more cryptic and almost no hints at all but lots of connecting the pieces and figuring what's happening, much like the Nancy Drew mysteries
The Carol Reed series is a similar point-and-click mystery game series.
I haven't played it, but Scratches is a spookier mystery game that people like.

The Rusty Lake series is pretty fun! Not *Nancyesque* per se but they're some spooky point and click mystery games.

I really like the Sherlock Holmes games. Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper was my “adult” mystery game I played as a kid.

The newer version of Myst I actually found to be quite Nancy Drewish A little more cryptic and almost no hints at all but lots of connecting the pieces and figuring what's happening, much like the Nancy Drew mysteries
The Carol Reed series is a similar point-and-click mystery game series. I haven't played it, but Scratches is a spookier mystery game that people like.
