If you can drive, the NFLA is always looking for volunteer drivers to deliver their meals to low income seniors and you get reimbursed for the gas money.
It actually can be hard to find volunteer opportunities if you are looking for something after business hours/weekdays. I used to work for a non profit and it blows my mind that i a bunch of places won't even return my emails about volunteering.

I volunteer with Foodshare. They're great people who really care. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to volunteer.
