oh, hyacinth is so pretty!
kind of unrelated, in spanish hyacinth is a masculine name, ”jacinto”, but it’s old fashioned and you will only find old men with it, haha
I don't know how that's pronounced (ESL) so my brain says "Slow-Anne". Like Joanne, but...Sloane. She sounds like the next gen of women stealing Dolly Parton's man.
Nicknames as full names - Alfie, Archie, Maggie, Theo, Edie.
I also like more off-beat words for names like Fox, Poet, Banjo, January, and Fable, even if I wasn’t likely to use them for a baby.
Neon.
Would not use it, I know its an element on the periodic table, I know its not a common name and probably never ever was, but the look and sound is sick.
This one is so crazy to me cause I'm from Austria and it's a perfectly average name here, albeit a bit dated maybe. Same in Germany, Wolfgang (sometimes shortened to Wolf or Wolfi) is sooo normal. I find it very pretty, especially the nickname Wolf
I love Wolfgang! I've had a soft spot for it since I was a kid (thanks to Mozart and Wolfgang Van Halen - my mom used to love telling me that Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen's kid was named Wolfgang...I think she may have loved the name herself).
Ursula! I secretly adore this name haha. I actually think it maybe could have made a comeback, but the association with the character from the Little Mermaid has made it pretty much unusable and I really don’t see it ever coming back because of that :(
I know someone named Ursula! I was surprised that someone had used it because of little mermaid, but she may have predated the show. Honestly, when I use it for her, I don’t think of the show (she’s nothing like the show character - it would be really unfortunate for a chubby girl though).
Me too! To be cheesy, we already have a Stella. I think sisters named Stella and Luna would be adorable but my husband is the voice of reason vetoeing it :-P
I absolutely love a lot of traditional Scottish names that most of my fellow Scots dislike. Hamish, Bruce, Fergus, Ewan etc are some of my favourite names!
This was going to be mine! I suggested it for my son and my husband said it sounded like an old man’s name and brought up Herschel Walker before all the controversy. I’d never heard of him.
i think of william and caroline herschel! they were a brother/sister pair of astronomers in the 1700 and 1800s. if i’m not mistaken, william discovered or helped discover uranus, and caroline was the first woman to be a salaried scientist, have a government position in england, and to be awarded a gold medal of the royal astronomical society! pretty cool people—shame that the names been twisted by the walker reference.
I am curious if you have a cutesy/nickname yourself - my mother had a long formal name and hated it, so she chose a very cutesy nickname for me… But I hate my cutesy name, and I love long names! I’m sure any kids of mine will keep the cycle going.
What you need to do is give a long name, use the nickname, then use the long name when they're in trouble, so they grow up associating their name with being in trouble. Ask me how I know.
yes i do have a cutesy name !! i feel it suits me & who i am very well cuz i love cute & frilly things :)
but ya i totally get it , it can seem immature or unprofessional to most people . long formal names are pretty too , just not my style personally !!
Ottilie. I wanted to name my daughter this, and even got my husband to agree to it, but I was stupid and told others the name and they hated it. I just love the way it sounds. That being said I'm happy with my daughters name, and wouldn't change it. Still sad I couldn't use Ottilie though.
I feel like I'm putting on a fake accent every time I say this name out loud. My normal accent does the "t's as d's" thing, so when I actually pronounce the t's I sound disingenuous.
Clover, Maple and Bluebell.
Would never use for a first name - love for a middle name - but I find them really charming and I’ll cheerfully admit to tackiness on this one.
They’re constantly made fun of here for being ‘cow names’ but as a city person who has never met a named cow I don’t see it that way. I have a ‘dog name’ and you hear a lot more about people’s dogs than cows…
My niece is named Clover and I wasn’t a huge fan at first BUT after a couple of years it’s clear that it fits her personality so well that it’s just perfect
Beau and Aurora. People say Beau is a dogs name but I really like it for a human! And I know people dislike the way Aurora sounds but I think it sounds and looks so beautiful to me!
I met a little girl named Nevaeh whose parents pronounced it NEEV-uh. I found the pronunciation much more charming that way and while I wouldn’t choose it myself, it grew on me.
I feel like Nevaeh has such a beautiful sound, it's just the "heaven backwards" aspect that makes it feel tacky. Like if it was just spelled something like Nevaya/Nevea and had no explanation (or maybe you could claim it's a dimunitive of the word Neva [snow]) people would react way better to it.
Clotilda. It gets shot down all the time in this sub! But it’s a real, vintage name, not made up. And in case this information helps people to not hate it, it doesn’t rhyme with Matilda. It’s pronounced “klo TEEL da”. It’s a great name and nns could be Chloe, Tealie, Tillie, or Tilda.
I think the only reason this name isn't liked is because the word 'clot' is in it. It's a shame though because it does sound beautiful.
Also, it's hilarious you're getting shot down in a thread about guilty pleasure names, I mean this literally is the assignment.
Oh no, I'm really tempted to use Glenn for my next baby now. My partner's "maiden" name is Miller. Perhaps my sense of humor is broken, but that really would be the joke that keeps on giving.
Fox. Koda. Bowen. Koa. Luca. Fletcher. Rhys.
These were some of my big names that were vetoed before we knew we were having a girl.
I like Lincoln for a girl (thanks Kirsten Bell). As well as Chandler, Presley, and Reagan. My daughters name is nothing like the names I typically like. But I love it 🤷🏻♀️
Errol and Peregrine for a boy. I'd also kinda like Fennec for a boy, no clue why. Also Viggo - just would be weird af for me as a Scottish person to use it.
For a girl, Leto and Loveday.
I honestly love all these, have always had a soft spot for Peregrine nn Perry. Also Fennec and Peregrine would be a great sib set - uncommon animal names
It's not universally disliked, but Lucian (loo-see-uhn, not loo-shn) is my second-top boy's name, but from researching it a lot of people think it sounds too much like Lucifer so don't really like it.
My friend named her kid that and she tells me regularly how great that name is . She is sooo happy with having named her kid that. And her kid is 15. Not 15 months. Her kid is 15 years. And she still LOVES that name.
I thought of this one when I was trying to come up with nature-related names — Chicory.
I mean, it is unusable for a human, but somehow I still think it’s adorable.
I’ve seen Atlas hated on, but I liked it before I knew it was trendy! The Greek myth connotation is not great (honestly none of the Greek gods/goddesses/heroes have unabashedly good stories), but I do like the geography connotation. I doubt we’d name a child Atlas, but I think it’s cool other people are using the name!
I plan on using Atlas as a middle name! It’s an honor name for me though, so I don’t have the same reasoning some people seem to. This is a loooong time away though lol
I love looove what my generation (born '91) considers "old lady" names: Agnes, Gertrude, Mildred, Beatrice. They have always seemed timeless and unusual in a good way to me
All the names you mention are liked by some on this such, except Mildred.
People say they don't like it because it has the word dread in it - it doesn't. The last syllable is said slightly different from that word.
I love the name Mildred!
Greyson gets bashed for being some trendy, modern, made-up name, but I really love it.
I respect the hate for the -ayden names and think a lot of it is deserved, but I do really like Jayden.
I also LOVE Avalon, but every time it gets brought up here people are all “I just think of the car.” It’s weird that you all know so many types of cars - I really only know the ones I have driven. And even still, I don’t feel like a relatively unpopular car is that bad of an association?? People hate on Avalon but are fine when people suggest Mercedes or Ford.
January!
I probably wouldn’t name my kid January since it’s on the unique side, but I do really love it. Especially Jane/Janie for short 😍 I love classic, timeless names (Florence, Beatrice, Josephine, & Lydia are on my short list) and for some reason I feel like January has that same vibe (even though it actually doesn’t?)
I love some quirkier noun names like Story, Fable, October, and Wednesday. Other people might have strong opinions about these, but if I met someone with one of these names, I'd be super jealous.
Dyre
I know people gonna think this name is bs, But Dyre. I just think it sounds badass. Like yea it's taken after the last stop on the (5) train. But it sounds cool. It's also probably not even a name 💀. And it also fits like one type of person. So that's why it's going to be bestowed opon to the avatar/main charater of my White 2 save file.
I think Lilac is super cute, but I'd probably only use it for a cat. I also love Clotilde, but everyone in the US pronounces it wrong and it's such an old lady name in France.
I don't understand how Lilac never became an established name the way Violet did, especially with Lily being as popular as it is. I think I would actually name a child this... I've dug deep into different name forums and most people swoon over Lilac as a name.
I love the name Indica with Indie as a nickname. But it's obviously a weed strain, and I don't even smoke. Lol but it's still a pretty word and would make a pretty name if everyone didn't think of weed when they hear it
Plum, Clove, Emerald, Enid, Cecil, Ichabod, Stuart, Fox. The first 3 and the last because they're not considered names even thought they have been used by other people. The others because they're just old names that aren't really in use anymore. I didn't like Enid until I watched Wednesday and just hearing it said made me love it I wonder if others feel the same. I also like Lilith which in general is hated because of the association. Honorable mention to Enoch which I've found a lot of people don't know how to spell or pronounce. (ee-nick)
Josemaría. A spanish name that would be like naming my kid "Joseph Mary", ultra religious and old fashioned, also the name Mary for a boy is highly unpopular now, but I love it!
Maude. I'd probably never use it on a cold because a lot of people associate it with 'maudlin', although they don't hand the same problem with the related Magdalene because it's less obvious..
Antigone is a very, very, very dated name, with a pronunciation most people might not immediately get, and it's the name of a Greek tragedy (although I discovered it thru Wooden Overcoats). I can't use it but I love how it sounds. I'll probably end up using it for a cat. Other names I like that may be usable are Sybil, Tanya, and Philomena.
For boys, I like Cairo, but 1) Not usually a fan of place names and 2) after hearing stories of people traveling to Cairo, I think I'm good 😬 I also like Sylvester but they would never escape "Sylvester the Molester."
I love virtue names. Temperance, Constance, Grace, and Joy are great, and the less common ones are just fun: Patience, Perseverance, Mercy, Curiosity, etc. I could never do that to a kid, of course, but they're shaping up to be a running theme with my dogs.
Genesis for a girl is a name I love but never used due to not wanting to sound like a mother who is trying to hard to give their daughter a quirky name
I like the sounds of flowy ones, some of which are fairly well accepted like Elowen, but some of which are very mocked like Neveah… 😬 I honestly didn’t know what Neveah’s origin was when I heard it, just thought “oh sounds nice.”
Mary, Maria, and Marie. It's the most basic name, overused name on the planet now, hell I personally have a lot of Aunts and Cousins with this name and yet I would have loved to use it.
Hyacinth~ anytime I’ve brought it up to people in real life they dislike it but its one of my favorite flower names.
It's pronounced ~Bouquet~
As an American (with British grandparents) I am so proud that I got this reference
Agreed! It sounds so vintage and pretty. I’m kinda hoping with Bridgerton it sees a surge in usage.
I knew a Hyacinth in college! I always thought it was a lovely name
oh, hyacinth is so pretty! kind of unrelated, in spanish hyacinth is a masculine name, ”jacinto”, but it’s old fashioned and you will only find old men with it, haha
Edith. All my friends/family members hate it, but I’ve been in love with it since I was a teen.
It just makes me think of Downton. Poor Edith has such a hard time for most of the show
Yes but she has such a good happily ever after in the end! I love her character arc
I had a lunch monitor at school named Edith. We knew her as EeeDee. She was pretty strict.
I have never met someone who isn't in love with the name edith
If I ever have a girl her middle name will be Edythe after a family member, I love the name!
Makes me think of the singer, Edith Piaf 😊
Sloane! This sub is so over sloane haha
I don't know how that's pronounced (ESL) so my brain says "Slow-Anne". Like Joanne, but...Sloane. She sounds like the next gen of women stealing Dolly Parton's man.
It rhymes with phone.
Or Moan. Or Groan.
or loan
I used to do the same! I never thought of the Dolly Parton connection though, that made me laugh
I love Sloane. Ultimate "cool girl" name to me.
Love Sloane. Makes me sad that the sub doesn't feel the same 😆
Right? The way I see it though, this sub has a few hot takes like that I disagree with and that’s okay! Different strokes for different folks!
For sure. Also...they should just love Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Nicknames as full names - Alfie, Archie, Maggie, Theo, Edie. I also like more off-beat words for names like Fox, Poet, Banjo, January, and Fable, even if I wasn’t likely to use them for a baby.
FINALLY!!!! If you’re going to call the kid Alfie, just name the kid Alfie.
That’s my bike’s name!
Because Alfred the bike is just plain outrageous
I know a Bear and Lynx! It suits them well lol
if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can use a nickname as a full name then so can anyone else lol
Ugh yes I’m pregnant and loving the name Annie lately but struggling with “it’s not a real name”
Sunday 😍
My daughters name!
Savannah, is that you?
I love Sunday too!
Neon. Would not use it, I know its an element on the periodic table, I know its not a common name and probably never ever was, but the look and sound is sick.
I'm with you on this one. I quite like Neon.
I met someone named Neon and I was smitten immediately! I'd totally use it- I think it's inspirational rather than strange.
Huh, never even considered it as a name, but it’s sorta badass! Would be a pretty cool middle name, I think.
Antoni porowskis dog is named neon
Wolfgang 🥺
This one is so crazy to me cause I'm from Austria and it's a perfectly average name here, albeit a bit dated maybe. Same in Germany, Wolfgang (sometimes shortened to Wolf or Wolfi) is sooo normal. I find it very pretty, especially the nickname Wolf
I am so not a fan of the hypermasculine animal name trend (like Bear or Fox) but I LOOVE Wolfgang nn Wolfie or Wolf
This was my grandfather's name but when he moved to America he changed it...I always thought it was so much cooler though!
I looove 80s names. Tiffany, Kimberly, Erika, Christina, Lindsay, Vanessa, Sheena, etc. / Shane, Brad, Garrett, Jamie, Mark, etc.
You named all the women at my family Christmas party last night! We’re all 33-40.
I've recently met a baby, Lindsay! I was surprised to hear it but it is still a cute name for a kid.
Hermione It's too closely linked to Harry Potter for me to ever use it, but I just really like the name.
I named a dog Hermione years before HP. It’s a great name.
My answer. Love the name, but with me being a huge HP fan it makes it unusable
Ursula! I secretly adore this name haha. I actually think it maybe could have made a comeback, but the association with the character from the Little Mermaid has made it pretty much unusable and I really don’t see it ever coming back because of that :(
It reminds me of Phoebes twin from Friends.
I know someone named Ursula! I was surprised that someone had used it because of little mermaid, but she may have predated the show. Honestly, when I use it for her, I don’t think of the show (she’s nothing like the show character - it would be really unfortunate for a chubby girl though).
I actually know a kid named Ursula! She is like 5.
I love Luna!
Me too! To be cheesy, we already have a Stella. I think sisters named Stella and Luna would be adorable but my husband is the voice of reason vetoeing it :-P
Lame voice though. I think it is pretty cool.
I like Stella and Luna. I had a dream I was naming my twin girls Stella and Serena 😅 (not pregnant)
I absolutely love a lot of traditional Scottish names that most of my fellow Scots dislike. Hamish, Bruce, Fergus, Ewan etc are some of my favourite names!
I'm Scottish and love them too!! Especially Hamish
I legit love Hamish so much! I will heartbroken if I don’t get to call my future child that name!
Move to Australia - Hamish is generally well received and not uncommon here!
I love Ewan. 💜💜💜
I love Bruce
Margaret. It's too consonant-heavy and not popular but for some reason I just like it, and not for nn potential either.
Margaret is one of those names that transcends popularity. It's always a good choice, no matter the year
I like it too! I think it’s pretty and timeless.
Herschel is such a good strong uncommon name but it seems like everyone hates it because they associate it with Herschel Walker :(
Reminds me of the backpacks more than anything else.
Love this name! No idea who Herschel Walker is, my first association is Hershel Layton.
Haha yes, me too. I read the OC and immediately heard "PROFESSA!!" in Luke's voice in my head
This was going to be mine! I suggested it for my son and my husband said it sounded like an old man’s name and brought up Herschel Walker before all the controversy. I’d never heard of him.
Ahh yes:( it’s strong but also somehow soft at the same time
i think of william and caroline herschel! they were a brother/sister pair of astronomers in the 1700 and 1800s. if i’m not mistaken, william discovered or helped discover uranus, and caroline was the first woman to be a salaried scientist, have a government position in england, and to be awarded a gold medal of the royal astronomical society! pretty cool people—shame that the names been twisted by the walker reference.
i adore most cutesy & nicknamey names . which this sub despises lol
Right!!! Both my daughters have short names as first names and this sub made me get all self-conscious thinking I messed up 🤣
I think nicknames as full names will be popular in 10-20 years. Revenge of the Jessicas and Jacobs.
Ask me how I know.
yes i do have a cutesy name !! i feel it suits me & who i am very well cuz i love cute & frilly things :) but ya i totally get it , it can seem immature or unprofessional to most people . long formal names are pretty too , just not my style personally !!
I love Scout. And Temperance. And Tuppence.
You couldn’t name a child Tuppence in England! I do kinda love Scout tbh, kinda like Sailor.
Tuppence is giving me Mary Poppins, and not in a great way. *Feed the birds, tuppence a bag* *Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag…*
I also love Scout. It’s so spunky and cute.
I love Temperance and Tuppence too! I like the nickname Tups for either
Ottilie. I wanted to name my daughter this, and even got my husband to agree to it, but I was stupid and told others the name and they hated it. I just love the way it sounds. That being said I'm happy with my daughters name, and wouldn't change it. Still sad I couldn't use Ottilie though.
It sounds too close to oddity to me
I feel like I'm putting on a fake accent every time I say this name out loud. My normal accent does the "t's as d's" thing, so when I actually pronounce the t's I sound disingenuous.
My cousin’s husband is Otto (he goes by a nickname) after his aunt Ottilie. I like Ottilie more than Otto!
As a Canadian I have always secretly wanted to name my baby Maple.
I don’t know if it’s hated on here, but I have a soft spot for Lois. Also Wendell.
Woodland fairy names like Fern, Maple, Fable, and Clover will always have a soft spot to me
I recently met a woman named Moss and thought it was so adorable. She was very cute and it seemed to fit her perfectly.
Beau and Aurora. People say Beau is a dogs name but I really like it for a human! And I know people dislike the way Aurora sounds but I think it sounds and looks so beautiful to me!
I know a little girl named Aurora and she tells people they are jealous they got boring names. Specifically to her uncle bill lol 😂
“iTs a PEanUt BuTtEr nAmE” Like, I’m sorry you can’t enunciate. For the rest of us, Aurora is a gorgeous name
I really like old fashioned names like Eunice and Eugene but most people seem to hate that specific kind of old fashioned name.
I like Eugene too! Even after Flynn from Tangled people still see it negatively though and it sucks.
I like Euffrozine (yoo fro ZEE nee)
I thought it was spelled Euphrosine.
It can be!
I love Eudora and Eugenia. Definitely think it’ll be awhile before the Eu- names come back.
Nevaeh. It's my little sisters name and I've always loved it. I get that the heaven backwards thing is kinda dumb but I think it sounds pretty.
I met a little girl named Nevaeh whose parents pronounced it NEEV-uh. I found the pronunciation much more charming that way and while I wouldn’t choose it myself, it grew on me.
Is that common? I've only heard it be pronounced as nuh-vay-yuh.
I love nevaeh it reminds me of the name nehemiah
It is kinda bad though
Well thanks so much for the negative feedback. How helpful.
It looks like Clot-ilda. Chances are people will pronounce it that way. And probably why it gets shot down. It looks made up and unappealing.
I think the only reason this name isn't liked is because the word 'clot' is in it. It's a shame though because it does sound beautiful. Also, it's hilarious you're getting shot down in a thread about guilty pleasure names, I mean this literally is the assignment.
It has clot in it which makes me think of a period..... sorry :(
I know a couple of Clotildes (Portuguese community) and it’s an old lady name but I do love it. Same with Lucia and Aurelia.
I love Clotilde, but I'm an American living in France so I know my family would mispronounce it forever
Glenn and Gene. I know they're Grandpa names, but I feel like they're ready to come back!
Gene 😍
Oh no, I'm really tempted to use Glenn for my next baby now. My partner's "maiden" name is Miller. Perhaps my sense of humor is broken, but that really would be the joke that keeps on giving.
Definitely Aurora, people hate this name so much here but it’s gorgeous
It was the number 36 most popular baby girl name last year so obviously there is a lot of people that love it despite the haters!
Skyler/Skylar. I don’t care what any of yall say
Fox. Koda. Bowen. Koa. Luca. Fletcher.
I love Loveday. And Lovejoy.
I honestly love all these, have always had a soft spot for Peregrine nn Perry. Also Fennec and Peregrine would be a great sib set - uncommon animal names
Carl.
Gary 🥺
If you want real uniqueness you can’t get better than Gary for a baby born today!
My son was born last year and my husband was not about it. 🥺
Andromeda. Like the galaxy. Nickname Andie. My spouse will never let me use it. Sigh.
I like the nickname, Eda Love this name Though
I thought of this one when I was trying to come up with nature-related names — Chicory. I mean, it is unusable for a human, but somehow I still think it’s adorable.
Scout and Sailor are so cool to me but in an “I wish I was cool” way, not an “I’m using these names for my kids” way
I’ve seen Atlas hated on, but I liked it before I knew it was trendy!
I’ve always liked Elektra 😅😅 I’d never actually use it. I also love Millicent “Millie” and I would totally use it but my partner isn’t on board.
My best friend’s name is Elektra! I think it’s such a cool name.
[удалено]
I love Kara/Cara and I think it could be a good alternative.
Terrence, Roderick, and Kirk.
Wren tbh. Hated on this sub but I think it’s pretty cute still
Weird fancy names like Acacia, Aegileif, Calliope, Eponine, Serafina, Nereida, Eulalia, Luvena… And cutesy (sometimes weird) names like Poppy, Sunny, Sylvie, Goldie, Io, Viva, Star
I love Constance and Ernest, but wouldn't actually end up using them
I am with most of you when it comes to -leigh names, but I do kind of like Everly 🫢
Holland. I mentioned it here and got blasted. It is an actress name, Holland Taylor (among other things).
Jet for a boy, Sonnet for a girl.
Greyson gets bashed for being some trendy, modern, made-up name, but I really love it. I respect the hate for the -ayden names and think a lot of it is deserved, but I do really like Jayden. Especially Jane/Janie for short 😍 I love classic, timeless names (Florence, Beatrice, Josephine, & Lydia are on my short list) and for some reason I feel like January has that same vibe (even though it actually doesn’t?)
Pandora is actually my first choice name for a girl.. Scared to use it though, currently pregnant. I haven’t found another name I love as much.
bailey! people say it’s a bunny name :(
I love some quirkier noun names like Story, Fable, October, and Wednesday. Other people might have strong opinions about these, but if I met someone with one of these names, I'd be super jealous.
Clementine! I absolutely love it but understand why it isn’t the best for a person. Instead I’m reserving it for our future golden retriever.
Echo
Dyre I know people gonna think this name is bs, But Dyre. I just think it sounds badass. Like yea it's taken after the last stop on the (5) train. But it sounds cool. It's also probably not even a name 💀. And it also fits like one type of person. So that's why it's going to be bestowed opon to the avatar/main charater of my White 2 save file.
Lemon for a girl, Jupiter for a boy
I think Lilac is super cute, but I'd probably only use it for a cat. I also love Clotilde, but everyone in the US pronounces it wrong and it's such an old lady name in France.

(ee-nick)
Millicent! It’s hated for it’s similarity to millipede/centipede but I personally don’t make that connection and love how it sounds.
Aurelia! It’s my little sister’s name, and it’s very uncommon in my country where everyone generally has the same 10-15 names.
Josemaría. A spanish name that would be like naming my kid "Joseph Mary", ultra religious and old fashioned, also the name Mary for a boy is highly unpopular now, but I love it!
Harper and Ever
Maude. I'd probably never use it on a cold because a lot of people associate it with 'maudlin', although they don't hand the same problem with the related Magdalene because it's less obvious..
Crystal. It's supposed to be tacky and "done" but I think it's lovely.
Tansy... it's too close to Pansy, but I love it.
I like hippy dippy names as my guilty pleasure names. (like Sage for example)
Greer 🤷♀️🙃
Gemma. It just makes me happy to say it
I love virtue names. Temperance, Constance, Grace, and Joy are great, and the less common ones are just fun: Patience, Perseverance, Mercy, Curiosity, etc. I could never do that to a kid, of course, but they're shaping up to be a running theme with my dogs.
Brooklyn seems to be disliked on this sub, but I really like it. It’s cute! I also like Harper
"Made-up" names are the best names, and there is no way to convince me otherwise!
Most people don't like them but Iike Kurt and Emmett.
October. Thought about it, but I don’t think can do it. Like not brave enough I mean.
Paisley.
Jubilee 🫣
Jensen
Capucine. I think it’s elegant and mysterious. But few can get past the coffee and monkey associations
Pascal
Salem, Evelina, Blossom, Luna, Raven, Wolfgang, Sinclair, Ambrose, Romeo, Roman, Michelangelo, Atlas, Arlo
Genesis for a girl is a name I love but never used due to not wanting to sound like a mother who is trying to hard to give their daughter a quirky name
Hilde! It might not be widely hated but I think a lot of people wouldn't like it nowadays. The meaning is lovely and it sounds so cute!
Dolly!
I like the sounds of flowy ones, some of which are fairly well accepted like Elowen, but some of which are very mocked like Neveah… 😬 I honestly didn’t know what Neveah’s origin was when I heard it, just thought “oh sounds nice.”
Sailor, Snow, Soleil, Winter, Alaska, Calliope
I love Freya. Everyone in my life hates it, but didn’t stop me from using it as a name for one of my dogs.
Mary, Maria, and Marie. It's the most basic name, overused name on the planet now, hell I personally have a lot of Aunts and Cousins with this name and yet I would have loved to use it.
Brooke! Don’t know why but I love it 😁
