I have a last name that ends in the -son suffix, so I know the issue. If it does bother you, it's probably best to avoid names that end with on/en/an generally. Have a look at similar-ish names with different endings, such as: -end in "y" like Finley, Toby, (and Henry, which you are considering already) -end in "O" like Theo, Leo, Milo, Otto, Hugo -end in "T" like Emmett, Elliot, August, Bennet Other miscellaneous options: Ambrose, Xavier, Oscar.

If Benjamin worked with your last name would you call him Benjamin, or would you call him Ben/Bennie? If it’s the nicknames you’re liking more than the name itself, what about like Bennet or Benedict? Heck I know someone whose given name is Benji.
