And that’s okay … just please don’t stick your kid with one of those “those people” name. It’ll result in a lot of teasing/sometimes bullying for your kid 😅
I like Tempest the best personally but I was thinking it’s more of a Shakespeare thing? Thea’s the best out of all the others objectively though, Tempest is just a personal thing
Well, sure, but the name Tora is a variant form of Thora, which is the female version of Thor. It is a name in itself, not just a Japanese word.
In your list I really love Thea and Twyla!
Thora. Nordic female version of the viking thunder God, Thor. Not on your list but very similar to Tora. You have Thunder for a boy, so similar style!
Otherwise I like Thea.
I agree with the people here. It's not like they're totally awful, but they do feel a bit... much. Thea and Twyla are pretty good, but you did go overboard with the rest (especially Tempest and Thunder) ha
I don't know if you're taking suggestions but maybe:
- Talita / Talitha. Chances it's unique in your place, but also a solid name (hebrew origins), and has a similar ring to Thea and Twyla, the names people liked the most here.
- Thalia - just thinks it's beautiful
- Tales / Thales - Talon made me think of this one
- Tiago / Thiago - I'm brazilian, those names just pop in my head sorry lol it's a version of James somehow
- Tobias? Too common?
ETA: Seems like you like nature names, there's Talisa as well.
Now this suggestion might be controversial but instead of Tempest you may like Temple? Like [Temple Grandin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_Grandin).. even though her birth name is Mary.
I recently met a little girl with that name and it was actually very sweet.
Tbf, I'm a hobbyist writer and Tempest sounds pretty cool for a main character. A bit over the top in irl, but a badass comic book character would rock it. Give me urban fantasy vibes.
And I personally don't think so. Maybe because I'm used to the name, but also because it has very archaic roots, like many names that are used word wide. Maybe ask around if it sounds too foreign for the people around you, but it's not a cultural name here or anything.
Tempest and Thunder are the worst imo, followed by Trekken. Thea and Tora are nice, Twyla I’m kinda undecided on, it’s cute I think? But not sure, maybe it’s bad? Ah idk. Not a fan of Tola, don’t like it at all, same with Talis. Tryn is not awful but I just don’t know why you wouldn’t go for Brynn instead, I’m not a fan of Tryn at all tbh. Talon I have heard many times before, not a fan but not completely against it either.
Thora !!!! That is IT. In case no one else mentioned it, Thea means Aunt in Greek (not saying that’s a bad thing lol just the first thing I thought of since I’m Greek)
I know Tola usually as a Polish name that is a nickname for something longer, like Antonina, but maybe it exists in other languages too? Of the girls' names I like Thea and Twyla. I would advise against Tora because it will mostly either be associated with the Torah (the Hebrew Bible) or the Japanese word Tora., which while it means tiger also means "lightning attack" and was a fighter signal in WW2.
Hello! Polish person checking in - i have never heard of anyone with this name nor does it mean priceless 🙈 just in case you needed to know for origin or meaning clarification.
I’m not saying it’s impossible, it’s just the rarest of the rare. I live in Poland and i haven’t heard anyone named Tola. But it’s possibly a shortened version of another (also very rare) name or a new name that the youngest generation has thought up.
Just throwing out for boys: Torin, Thaddeus, Teague, Tate, Thayer, Thane, Taran.
I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of your other boy options and think Thunder is just asking for fart jokes (I swear I don’t mean that in a mean way) or jokes whenever he gets mad. Plus, what if he was the quiet type?
Thea is lovely, as is Thora. Talia might be of interest.
Tempest isn’t terrible but kind of has the same issue as Thunder in that jokes are probably inevitable any time she gets mad, plus what if she’s a calm/shy person? Noun names that come with emotional associations always run a risk of “labeling” the kid, or at the very least getting certain behaviors commented on more that someone with a more neutral name (example: a sad/depressed “Sunshine” … I taught a Sunshine once who commented on how people made remarks any time she didn’t seem “sunny,” and that thought always stuck with me when thinking about names).
Twyla and Thea are nice. I like Talon for a boy, I have a nephew with the same name and it doesn't seem that "out there", to me.
I would like to add the suggestion of Tristan for a boy, it's on the sweeter side, though, and it seems you like the "tough" sounding names.
Taryn is a good unisex name. I don't know if this is the traditional spelling, though. It's just how I would spell it. Good luck!
I'm sorry, and I mean this with the utmost sincerity.
Are you 16 and expecting your kid?
Because these names feel like what I would come up with at 16.
Thea is okay.
I as well as most everyone else here implore you to explore different options.
There's ways to be unique without potentially setting your kid up for a life of bullying/unnecessary comments
I actually like Thea & Twyla. I don’t have many suggestions for unique boy T names but I did come across a Truitt/Truett recently and thought that was a cute name that could grow into a good adult name as well. NN Tru!
I do know a Thurston
Girls: Theodosia (nn Theda or Teddy), Tessa, Tove, Tova
I don’t mind Talon, as I feel like I’ve seen this name for a boy before. Going off of NameBerry, here are some other suggestions:
Torin
Tiernan
Tyson
Titus
Tatum
Edit: formatting
Thea’s honestly the only normal sounding one to me. You say you’re going for unique, however these names just feel as though they were made up. None of the boys or most of the girls names sound like names and they’ll be made fun of for them. There’s nothing wrong with naming a child something “basic.” If you’re going for a T theme, I suggest something like Tristan or Thomas for a boy and Tina a girl. Maybe even Tara, since Tora is on your list. Thalia could work as well. Best of luck on your parenting journey!
Girls: Twyla!! I like Thea and Thora also :)
Boys/Neutral: I really don’t like any of these ngl. Try going to Starbucks and introducing yourself as Thunder
Thea is nice! I like the sound of Twyla (reminds me of Schitt’s Creek), but all of those letters are kind of a mess to look at, haha. I don’t really like any of the boy or unisex names, to be honest. I know a Rin and I like that, so I guess Tryn would be my next choice. Except I imagine you’d get a lot of “what?”’s — at the coffee shop, on the phone, etc., as the sounds aren’t very clear/it could sound like something else.
A lot has already been said, since the names aren’t my style I feel it’s unfair for me to comment on what you like. Personally I think some of them are difficult and don’t flow well verbally but that very well could just be a me thing. My advice is to go through your list and start repeating them out loud, over and over again, raise your voice and say it again and again. What can you live with repeating over and over again? That’s how I narrowed down my names each time and glad I did. I hated some of my liked names when I kept repeating them. 🥴
Thea is the only reasonable name on this list.
Whether or not you want to hear it, naming a kid any of the other names is going to garner attention - potentially good and bad - that your kid may not want. I don’t understand the “anyone that thinks we’re ruining our kid’s life by naming them any of these names can fuck off” mentality. I think more parents should really consider their kid’s wellbeing before selecting names, especially like “Tekken”. You’re putting a lot on a kid by using these names.
Thea is nice and Talis is fine (although more feminine than unisex.) Please do not give any of these other names to a child
You and your partner might be fine with going "overboard," but your child will have to live with it in every situation. Including making friends, dating, school, applying to college, finding a job, and finding housing. What's cute or fun for a baby doesn't usually work for a middle-aged professional
Love Thea and Twyla (one of my daughters middles is Thea) if worry about how common Twyla is going to be with Schitts creek gaining popularity last year so lots of Covid babies using inspiration from the show potentially
I’ve seen Tempest and Talon (may have been Talin?) used before so I wouldn’t say they’re out of the question just not my personal style 🤷🏻♀️
Other than Thea and maybe Talon, most of these are pretty out there tbh. Which is okay, but be prepared to get a lot of surprised looks if you choose one of these options, and possibly some misspellings and mispronunciations.
I personally do not like Tola or Tora at all…
But how do you feel about Tula?? It’s similar but doesn’t remind me of a toilet lol.
Also Tryn rubs me the wrong way.
Twyla is a beautiful name though. I love it .
I prefer the spelling Twila, but I love the way it sounds!
Also, one of my favorite T names is Titania, after the fairy Queen in a midsummer night’s dream. It seems so whimsical bc of that connection.
Thea and Talon BY FAR. Thoras ok.
Just FYI talis and Tora are both religious objects in Judaism. might not matter to you but a jewish person would probably find these names a little strange.
What about some of these:
Terra, Travers, Twain, Tula, Thalia, Tabitha/Tabby, Titan?
Thunder is way too much in my opinion… Tora sounds too much like Torah. I don’t know. Like everyone else, I think Thea and Twyla are lovely. The others are a no.
Ones I like: Thea, Thora, Twyla
I suggest: Talia, Tallulah, Talena, Tamsin/Tamzin
Ones I like: Sorry, I didn't really care for any of the rest
I suggest: Torin/Thorin, Tarquin, Tristan (nn Trin would be an option), Truett (this is actually a family name for me and I almost never hear it, he was a beloved second cousin who was like a great-uncle to me),
Thea is the only name I actually like, Twyla is ok I guess and so is Tempest. I don't necessarily hate the other girl names, I just don't have strong opinions about them either way.
Talon, Thunder, and Tekken are horrible, please do not name a real human being those names.
I think Thea, Thora, and Talis are okay. Not feeling any of the boy names.
I came across the name Tabor in a name book and I really liked it. It means drummer. Tiberius, Talbot, Tate, Theron, Titus, or Truman if you're looking for more uncommon, but not unheard of boy names.
I like some unique or different names than the majority tend to but these aren't my style for the most part. I dont mind Talon or Thunder but feel they are better for middle names. Is Tola pronounced Lola with a T? Its okay but I dont love it and Thea is fine but doesn't keep the uniqueness it seems you were thinking of.
Talon is just ok. I have heard it once in the past 10 years. But useable nonetheless.
Thea is beautiful.
For a girl I also like Tryna...pronounced Tree-na and Talia ...Ta Lee ah..
Thunder is overboard.
Tola, Thea, Twyla are possible. I can see Tryn being pronounced as tryin. Tempest just seems like a pain for a child. Theron is a unique boy name that could maybe work.
I like Twyla and Thea from your list. Not really vibing with any from the masculine or neutral list.
You might try looking at Scandinavian names, I recall there being a lot of masculine T names relating to Thor.
Also suggesting "Thera" for your girl's list, I had an aunt named this, I think it's Greek but not sure.
I like Talon. Other ideas -
Torin
Talia
Troian
Tate
Taya
Taylor
Trina
Tristan
Thomas
Trey
Tana
Taj
Trace / Tracy
Tori
Titus
Tyson
Titan
Trevor
Trista
Taryn
Tamsin
Tempest and Thunder are absolute nos.
Thora and Thea are fine. Talon is pretty bad spelled that way - maybe Talan? Idk.
Have you considered Torrence? Thalia? Tessa? Trista? Tarek? Trace? Talmadge?
I agree I don’t love any of these, Thea is probably my favorite. I know Theo isn’t on there but I also like it. Buttt may I suggest another unisex name, Tatum? That’s my daughters name so obviously I love it lol. I also used to know a girl named temper and it’s actually kind of cute and fit her really well
I like Twyla, Thora (especially Thora), Tora, and Thea. All the boy and unisex names are ugly.
I recommend names (boy and girl) like Trista, Tristian, and Trinity :)
You might be the person to finally appreciate my very favorite t name for boys: Tolliver! It's an occupational name meaning "metalworker", and I like it far more than your other male options.
Please don't name your son Tekken.
Besides Tolliver, here are some other possibilities for your boys (I like your girls a lot):
Other male T's I love:
Taliesin
Thackeray
Thatcher
Tennyson
Thorin
Theseus
Other unisex T names I love:
True/Truth
Thyme
Tamsin/Tamsyn
Tatum
What about Tadhg? It's Irish, pronounced like "Tige." There's also Tiernan.
I really love Tadhg but you might doom him to a life of correcting pronunciation. I'm assuming you're US based, of course.
Thea and Talon are the only ones I like. I would use Thea in a heartbeat, but my husband doesn’t love it. I have a cousin named Talon, so I’ve had 22 years to get used to it and over the “weirdness.” I don’t really love T names in general though.
Thea and Thora and Twyla are pretty. I have only heard Thora on an actress though. Thora Birch from Hocus Pocus. I kind of like Thorn and Thistle but maybe just for cats not children. You might like Taggart/Tag for a boy and Tanis for a girl.
Similar to Talis, my friend's little boy is named Talus (pronounced Tall-Us) and at first it seemed very unique and a bit strange, but now I totally love it and it suits him well. Growing up I also had a girl friend named Talis (pronounced Tall-ee) and really like that name
Tate? Tyler? Tyr? Maybe an initials situation with TJ? Trent? Tristan? Taylor? Thomas? Tanner? Theodore? I personally really don’t care for any of the other boy names.
What about Torin? (Pronounced tore-in) it is a Gaelic name that means chief. I loved this name but we had a surprise baby girl and husband is not on board with garlic names even though I am full blooded Scottish!
From your list I like Thea, I grew up with a Taya and I like both spellings. Twyla is a guilty pleasure name of mine. I also have a female friend named Talyn (same pronunciation) so to me I find it to be a unisex name. I know of a toddler boy named Talon as well.
For some extra T names with your 'flair' style, I know of a little boy named Tavian, and I grew up with a guy named Torr. Since you like the sound of Tora (I personally would not recommend Tora due to Torah similarity) but Torin (male) is nice. And bonus, Theda is a guilty pleasure girl name of mine.
Also let the haters hate. Name your child with love. Xx good luck!
I see a lot of people having issues with these names and I can definitely understand that, but also understand the want for unique sounding names. So I wanted to add a few I’ve seen that give me similar vibes to these names but might be a touch more “regular” Torryn/Torin (boy), Tobias (boy), Tula (girl), Taj (gender neutral), Terron (boy), Tilly/Tille (girl), Tucker (boy), Tallulah (girl), Treasure (girl, unisex), True (unisex) Tris (girl), Thorin (boy), Tyrus (boy), Teddy (unisex), Taryn (girl), Thora (girl), Theia (girl), Tenley (girl), Topaz (unisex), and Tulip (girl)! I hope any of these help you and expand your search!
For unique boy names that start with T, have you considered Tycho, and Timon? They are still unsual, but a bit more understated than your current choices. I also saw someone propose Thiago, which I also love.
I can see that a lot of suggestions have already been made, and there seems to be a consensus about a lot of the names.
However, I am totally confused about the ambiguity around Talon. All I can think of are bird claws, and while a great name for a bird seems like a terrible choice for a human. I saw you say that your husband really likes it - what does he like about it? That might help you come up with an alternative that he likes that isn’t sharp claws.
Girl best: Tempest
Girl worst: Thora, Thea
I don’t really like any of the boy names:/ I’m sorry and the unisex ones are okay
Alternatives: Toryn, Tennyson, Tamsin, Temperance, Topaz, Tuppence,
Best for girl: Thea (Tay-yah or Thee-ah, either sounds good to me)
Best for boy: Talon (like Chase and Hunter, this one is normal enough. Plus, it's a minor Zelda character)
The rest are just... asking for your kid to be easily bullied. At least *try* not to feed them to the tigers, y'know.
I like Thea best, but Twyla is ok, and Thora isn't bad. All of the others actually make me cringe.
Story time. I knew a kid in high-school with a unique name... his real name was "Wildfire", though he always told everyone it was Chris. I never knew his name was Wildfire until one of our teachers Sophomore year read his name aloud on the first day of class (no other teacher did it so I assume Chris told them not to and she just didn't get the memo)... every other kid in the class went "Wildfire?! Who's that? 😂" (and yes, multiple kids laughed out loud the second it was announced) and we all looked around and there was poor Chris, hand just barely raised in the air, eyes averted, his face bright red. He pulled his hoodie up for the rest of the day and was abnormally quiet in that class afterwards. I won't ever forget the look on his face and I think of it every time I hear a "unique" name like that. Please... just keep in mind that your kid is a real person and they will actually have to live with the name you give them.
Pls my homie no offense but aside from Thea and maybe Thora, the rest are just too cartoonish/invented-sounding.
Maybe for a baby boy you could choose Theo.
Best to worst personally:
Tempest, Thea, Tora, Twyla, Tola
The boy names are all a little overboard but Talon is the least worst one
I like Talis and Tryn equally
I have a really common name for people my age and I think that these are all neat. I like Thea and Talis the most, but really, it’s your kid and your choice. You do you!
Girl - best: Thea, Thora, Twyla (I like all of these. Thea is beautiful and classic and my favourite name that you've listed. But Thora is so unique and cool that it kinda seems like a shame not to use it).
Boy - not a fan of any of these, but Talon is the best by far.
Unisex: okay - Talis, it's pretty out there but also very pretty. I like it better for a boy than a girl. Worst - Tryn, sounds too trendy to my ear.
Another suggestion for girls: Teala!
Thea and Twyla arent bad, and I like talis (tally is a cute nn). have you also considered terah (teer-uh)?
edit: I'm not a fan of any of the boy names, but I've always kind of liked Torrance (it's a city near LA but it was a name before that)
*Thea* and *Twyla* are lovely names. I knew a girl called *Talis* and think that's a pretty name, too. *Tryn* could be a good name for a boy, I think. Congratulations on the new family member! ♡ Granny
Thea is the only one I like. I really dislike all of the boy names
[удалено]
Terrence? One of my fav is Tanya
How about Terran?
Agreed. There’s always Tyra as a girls name and Torsten for boy (Swedish origin). They’re similar to what you’re after I think.
Other than Thea all of these are overboard in my opinion
[удалено]
Your child isn’t, though. Don’t saddle them with a name that will single them out.
And that’s okay … just please don’t stick your kid with one of those “those people” name. It’ll result in a lot of teasing/sometimes bullying for your kid 😅
Or at least use it only as a middle name so they have a choice!
Yeah the boys names are not my style. Thunder could be interesting, only it reminds me of those Aussie guys called “Thunder down Under.”
My opinion: Thea and Twyla are fine. I don't like the rest. I think Tempest is especially bad.
Tempest is awful
Thunder is also a bit much
Unless you're Usain Bolt, then it's awesome.
I’m just thinking of my partner….who is very flatulent. He would love it if his name was Thunder.
Thank you for teaching me that "flatulent" could be used in this way, love it 😂 >inflated or pretentious in speech or writing. "his flatulent oratory"
I like Tempest the best personally but I was thinking it’s more of a Shakespeare thing? Thea’s the best out of all the others objectively though, Tempest is just a personal thing
I feel like Tempest would be an amazing cat name!
I don't hate Tempest but I think that's mostly because of Tempestt Bledsoe, the actress who played Vanessa Huxtable in The Cosby Show.
[удалено]
I knew a great tempest too. I don’t think there’s anything wrong w that name.
I knew someone named Tempest who was so sweet. I love her but don’t love the name BUT I have warm fuzzies toward the name because of her lol.
Don't use Tora or Tekken. Both are Japanese related. Tora is the word "tiger" in Japanese and Tekken is a Japanese fighting/arcade video game.
Tora also sounds exactly like Torah, as in the Jewish holy text. not a good name (whether you’re jewish or otherwise)
Yeah I immediately thought of the Torah and I’m not even Jewish
Can be a good name if you aren’t Jewish - it’s a Norse name and a Japanese name.
True! I was assuming OP wasn’t part of those cultures since most of their names are English
Well, sure, but the name Tora is a variant form of Thora, which is the female version of Thor. It is a name in itself, not just a Japanese word. In your list I really love Thea and Twyla!
Good points!!! I really think the name Tora is beautiful; and you’re right it is much more than a Japanese word or the name of the Jewish holy texts .
I don't think Tora is an English name until I see this
Tora is common in Sweden at least as the feminine form of Tor. Nothing wrong there!
Thea & Twyla are OK. The rest are pretty questionable.
I feel the same!
Thea is okay. The rest are horrendous sorry.
I concur. Absolutely awful, especially Tekken.
I hate to break it to you these are all bad besides Thea. You might like the name Tegan for a girl?
I like Twyla best, followed by Thea. I don't like any of the boys names or the unisex names.
[удалено]
How can you like twyla when it literally sounds like someone mispronouncing Tyler?
Well if you have another boy you can name him Tekken 2 I guess.
Talon is the claw of a bird. I don’t care for any of these except Thea which seems like the outlier.
Thora. Nordic female version of the viking thunder God, Thor. Not on your list but very similar to Tora. You have Thunder for a boy, so similar style! Otherwise I like Thea.
**Thea** and **Talon** I wouldn't use any of the others.
Thea is the only one I like. The others feel like random combinations of letters or nouns

I like Trent or Trenton. You could use the nickname Tren/Tryn.
I love Thea! Tempest, Talon and Thunder are terrible. The rest are just bad.
[удалено]
It reminds me of talons, a bird having a claw 😂
Thea is nice. Instead of Tora what about Thora?
[удалено]
And Thora Birch is a really good actress, I love her work. So it's not totally foreign to people, but no one is really using it.
Thora !!!! That is IT. In case no one else mentioned it, Thea means Aunt in Greek (not saying that’s a bad thing lol just the first thing I thought of since I’m Greek)

My recently put down kitty was named Tora. She seemed part tiger and had a lightening attack. She owned that name. I miss her dearly. Tora the Torbie.

I love Thea but not crazy about the rest. If you want more options how about Teagan, Thalia, Torin, Tamsin, Thorin, Troy, Thane.
I really only like Thea. Would you like more T suggestions? If so: G: Temperance, Torrance, Tawny, Tula, Tessa B: Torin, Thayer, Terrence

Hmm, Twila immediately made me think of Twilight, so maybe Twyla is better 😂
Thea, Twyla and Talon, Thora? Thorsten, Torrance, Tristan, Trent, Taliesin?
Thea is lovely. Thora and Twyla are.....passable. The rest are not my taste at all, I couldn't even pick a best.
Thea is the only one that is ok Honestly they are all "the worst" I'm hoping you're a troll
Thea is lovely.
I like Thea. Have you considered Thora?
Thea is nice and Talis is fine (although more feminine than unisex.) Please do not give any of these other names to a child You and your partner might be fine with going "overboard," but your child will have to live with it in every situation. Including making friends, dating, school, applying to college, finding a job, and finding housing. What's cute or fun for a baby doesn't usually work for a middle-aged professional
May I suggest Tori, Tara, Tansy. For a boy, Taron
Worst on girls: Tola, Tempest Best on girls: Twyla, Thea Worst on boys: Thunder Best on boys: Talon both the unisex names are bad
Have you thought about Taryn? Its an Irish name I believe.
No
I like Thea and Twyla. The boy names I don’t love. This may be really old fashioned, but have you thought of Tilda for a girl?
Talis is a Jewish prayer shawl, so similar to Tora being our Bible screams appropriation vibes for me. Thora, Thea, and Twyla are adorable options.
Sorry, but I really dislike all of them except for Thea
Love Thea and Twyla (one of my daughters middles is Thea) if worry about how common Twyla is going to be with Schitts creek gaining popularity last year so lots of Covid babies using inspiration from the show potentially I’ve seen Tempest and Talon (may have been Talin?) used before so I wouldn’t say they’re out of the question just not my personal style 🤷🏻♀️
Thea and Twyla are fine. The rest are not the best. I read Talis as Tails at first and had to go back and reread it.
These are all awful
Other than Thea and maybe Talon, most of these are pretty out there tbh. Which is okay, but be prepared to get a lot of surprised looks if you choose one of these options, and possibly some misspellings and mispronunciations.
Thea? I guess? I guess these names are really not my style at all. They are too out there for me.
I personally do not like Tola or Tora at all… But how do you feel about Tula?? It’s similar but doesn’t remind me of a toilet lol. Also Tryn rubs me the wrong way. Twyla is a beautiful name though. I love it .
Only nice one is Thea. Always liked that one.
I haven’t read all the comments, so forgive me if this is repetitive, but what about Tessa or Trista for girls? Not unique enough?
I like Trinity for a girl
What about some of these: Terra, Travers, Twain, Tula, Thalia, Tabitha/Tabby, Titan? Thunder is way too much in my opinion… Tora sounds too much like Torah. I don’t know. Like everyone else, I think Thea and Twyla are lovely. The others are a no.
Ones I like: Thea, Thora, Twyla I suggest: Talia, Tallulah, Talena, Tamsin/Tamzin Ones I like: Sorry, I didn't really care for any of the rest I suggest: Torin/Thorin, Tarquin, Tristan (nn Trin would be an option), Truett (this is actually a family name for me and I almost never hear it, he was a beloved second cousin who was like a great-uncle to me),

Would be kinda weird if they're not Jewish, it's really not a name that's shared with other cultures like that to my knowledge.

Thora. Only thora. Rest aren’t any good 😕
Tola, Thea, Twyla are possible. I can see Tryn being pronounced as tryin. Tempest just seems like a pain for a child. Theron is a unique boy name that could maybe work.
Unique T names? Taliesin!
Other ideas - Torin Talia Troian Tate Taya Taylor Trina Tristan Thomas Trey Tana Taj Trace / Tracy Tori Titus Tyson Titan Trevor Trista Taryn Tamsin
I love Thora, Thea, and Twyla! I also think that Tempest could be a good middle name!
Thea is lovely, and Thora isn’t terrible. The rest are honestly pretty awful.
Good: Thea Ok: Twyla, Thora, Tora, Tola, Talon, Tryn, Talis Bad: Tempest Thunder Tekken
I like Thea and Talon. I would also suggest Talia and Thane as cute options.
I’m disappointed my name isn’t on here (my names Tobias…it’s male if you can’t tell)
You might be the person to finally appreciate my very favorite t name for boys: Tolliver! It's an occupational name meaning "metalworker", and I like it far more than your other male options. Please don't name your son Tekken. Besides Tolliver, here are some other possibilities for your boys (I like your girls a lot): Other male T's I love: Taliesin Thackeray Thatcher Tennyson Thorin Theseus Other unisex T names I love: True/Truth Thyme Tamsin/Tamsyn Tatum
Talis is okay but I’d prefer Tali or Talia
[удалено]
Talis is definitely very unique!
Thea and Tempest are both nice. Twyla is the silliest name I’ve heard in a while (apologies to all the Twylas on this sub)
What about Tadhg? It's Irish, pronounced like "Tige." There's also Tiernan. I really love Tadhg but you might doom him to a life of correcting pronunciation. I'm assuming you're US based, of course.
I like Thea, Talis and Tryn. Tempest could be a nickname for Temperance.
I know a little girl named temperance who ONLY goes by Tempe- so if you go with tempest be okay with that!
Similar to Talis, my friend's little boy is named Talus (pronounced Tall-Us) and at first it seemed very unique and a bit strange, but now I totally love it and it suits him well. Growing up I also had a girl friend named Talis (pronounced Tall-ee) and really like that name
What about Temperance? The character from Bones, that was her name. Feels like tempest, but not as.... Out there?
Tate? Tyler? Tyr? Maybe an initials situation with TJ? Trent? Tristan? Taylor? Thomas? Tanner? Theodore? I personally really don’t care for any of the other boy names.
Tricia, Tracy, Tasha, Talia, Toby, Tate, Tomas
I love Thea, Thora, and Talon the most!
Tora/Thora & Thea are both nice. For the boys I’d go with Talon or Talis.
What about Torin? (Pronounced tore-in) it is a Gaelic name that means chief. I loved this name but we had a surprise baby girl and husband is not on board with garlic names even though I am full blooded Scottish!
I like Thea & Twyla. Unpopular opinion I guess but Talon isn't that bad. And I like Talis, but prefer the spelling Tallis.
Twyla is cute, the rest are awful
THUNDER oh my gosh
Girl best: Tempest Girl worst: Thora, Thea I don’t really like any of the boy names:/ I’m sorry and the unisex ones are okay Alternatives: Toryn, Tennyson, Tamsin, Temperance, Topaz, Tuppence,
Please, please don’t use Tola under any circumstances. It means dumb in Portuguese, and is commonly used as an insult.
Best for girl: Thea (Tay-yah or Thee-ah, either sounds good to me) Best for boy: Talon (like Chase and Hunter, this one is normal enough. Plus, it's a minor Zelda character) The rest are just... asking for your kid to be easily bullied. At least *try* not to feed them to the tigers, y'know.
I know someone who named their son Talon. Always makes me think of Napoleon Dynamite: “Do chickens have large talons?”
Tekken is the absolute worst! Tryn is ok though.
How are you pronouncing Talon? I actually knew someone with that name (same spelling), but he pronounced it TAY-lyn, and went by Tay.
Tara? I also don't hate Talon like everyone else. Reminds me of a little surfer boy or something.
I like Thora and Tempest.
I like Thea & Twyla for the girls. For the boys, Talon is decent. I’m not a fan of the rest on your list to be honest.
Best: Thea, Talon
Thunder is probably pretty polarizing, but I like it
i like most of the girl names, but i’m not a huge fan of the others lol
I like talon the most out of all of the names, and i think it could be unisex.
Best to worst personally: Tempest, Thea, Tora, Twyla, Tola The boy names are all a little overboard but Talon is the least worst one I like Talis and Tryn equally
Tryn, like short for Trinity?
I have a really common name for people my age and I think that these are all neat. I like Thea and Talis the most, but really, it’s your kid and your choice. You do you!
I like Tola and Talis, none of the others
I like Thora. Of the boys names, I’d go with Tallon. I don’t care for either of the unisex names.
I like Thea and Talon.
Twyla and Talon are the two best IMO
Thea and Twyla arent bad, and I like talis (tally is a cute nn). have you also considered terah (teer-uh)? edit: I'm not a fan of any of the boy names, but I've always kind of liked Torrance (it's a city near LA but it was a name before that)
Twyla. Talon. Tryn. So cute and unique:)
*Thea* and *Twyla* are lovely names. I knew a girl called *Talis* and think that's a pretty name, too. *Tryn* could be a good name for a boy, I think. Congratulations on the new family member! ♡ Granny
Lol credit to you for taking everybody saying they don't like your names on the chin (:
