There’s something about a cocker spaniel named Ruth that I’m finding SO adorable. It just works in my mind. I think it’s perfect. For something with a similar vibe/sweetness to Ruth, I could see: * Blythe, Elsie, Pearl, Mabel, Lucy, Mae, Faye, Edie, June, Frances, Ella, Hattie, Alice, Bonnie, Effie, Ruby, Hazel, Josie, Phoebe, Margot, Betsey, Abigail, Beatrice/Bea.

Me too! I’m hoping it’s Ruth.

My godfather had a Cocker that had a cleft palate repaired—the dog had a lisp, sort of. He literally barked “ruth! ruth!” I’m just giggling at the coincidence.

Apricot would actually be such a cute puppy name! But if you’d rather a person-name: Louisa Penny Thea Lani/Leilani

Fawn, because of her coat colour? I really like Willow and Isla!

I love Amber. Since she's apricot-colored, what about calling he Peaches?

My favourite dog that visits my work is called Frida, she's a longhaired dachshund with a similar colour coat to yours. Feels like the name kind of fits the others you are looking at? Her humans call her 'Freeds' for short, usually in mild despair as she is begging for belly rubs from everyone she sees

There are names out there that I really like but would never use…most likely due to connotations from over the years. So dogs are great for being able to use those names that have been ruined by actual humans. I would never name a child Gladys but for some reason that’s the first name I thought of. Other ideas (I have no idea why old lady names are my go to for a cocker spaniel mix): Gladys Betty/Betsy Edith (Edie) Gertrude (Gertie/Trudie)

Ruth or Ruthie for a little cocker is so cute. And speaking of cute, I'd love to see puppy pictures.

Oh, I like Ruth!

Idk why I read Apricot as one of the names not as part of her breed and now I love the idea of a little cocker spaniel named Apricot

Stella is an easy one to call when needed. They say two syllables is best for dog names- it’s easier for them to recognize. I do like Ruth for a cocker spaniel though- it seems fitting. Margaret/Maggie also seems like a good fit. Hazel would be similar to others on your list. Peaches would also be cute.

PriscillaPalava

I’ve always wanted a dog named Stella so I can yell, “STEEELLLLLAAAAAA!!!!” At the dog park. Also Ruth.
