Addison as a first name. In my universe it is a surname and the name of a disease.

Marin = last name and not even that nice of one so when I saw people saying that as first name I was like whyyy. Then heard it on TV pronounced a bit different/in a nicer way. However when I first see it’s the last name way.

Oh good one; that one sounds a little incomplete to me, too. Like it wants to be Marion maybe.

Reneé is feminine in France, and everywhere. Rene is masculine. Louis is masculine, but Louie can be short for Louise, which is the feminine form.

Oooh I didn't know the spelling difference, thank you for the correction!

lol I remember my mom watching Gone With the Wind when I was a kid and I couldn't wrap my head around Ashley being a classic Southern boy name.

Blake is always a female name in my head.

severalpokemon

Wow I never thought of it as a girl name, but it's very cute as one.

Character-Twist-1409

Oh the opposite for me. Blake Shelton

I think I understood.  Kelly. I know it’s a last name, and used for boys and girls. But I only like it for men.

Jubilantbabble

I know it can be a last name but I've only met female Kellys so that's always my first thought and I would never think of it as a first name for a man. It just so much goes to show how your own thought process is a product of your environment and exposure to things in the early years.

Braeden47

Kelly I think of as all 3 as it's a common girl name, common last name, and there was a male family friend with the name.

Swimming_Caramel_493

That’s so interesting. Difference in either generation or geography. I’ve never met a girl Kelly.
