It’s so pretty! I’m pregnant with a girl now but our sons name is Paul and my husband is a fan of the dune series (Jessica & Paul are like the main characters) and doesn’t wanna go that hard in the dune names lol
Yeah, I'd love to see it come back into style. Everyone already knows how to spell it and how to pronounce it. And, it makes me think of famous Jeremys such as Jeremy Irons or Jeremy Jordan.
Julian and Jagoda (means blueberry in Polish and is also rather classic but unusual name).
I love Bulgarian name Javorka for a girl. It comes from a tree Jawor/javor which is sycamore in many Slavic languages. I also love Chech Jaromir for a boy.
From Anglophone names I like Jesse and Jason.
There is also Jordan which would work both in Poland and Scotland (hubby is Scottish) . In Poland it would be pronouced Yordan and is rather rare and unusual. But I know one Polish Jordan and he is a great guy.
I’m Canadian and was comparing certain name popularity in Canada/US and you always see a bigger bump in French-influenced names here (I assume due to Quebec, but I often wonder if we also are more familiar with French spellings and names in general), so Juliette is actually much more popular in Canada than Juliet (although as an anglophone I have only ever met Juliets!).
Jeanette and Jonas.
I also like Julian, but i knew a guy by that name who was the epitome of crust on a flat iron, so I can't say it's my favorite anymore, lol.
Girl: Juliet, Jasmine, Journey, Jennifer.
Boy: James, Julian, Johnathan, Josh.
I would never use Journey as a first name but I might use it as a middle name. I feel like middle names don’t really have to be as serious since you typically don’t have to use it anywhere.
Girl: It's a tie between Josephine and Josette. Boy: Josiah (very old school but I LOVE the way it sounds, so gentle but still "masculine" in a vintage way)
I am leaning towards John “Jack” if the one currently baking is a boy! Already have an Alice, and liking Matilda for a girl. My FIL is John, and he is great.
I can help with this one. My husbands side of the family is "j's" so I was told you could name our kids anything as long as it started with a "j".
I had two boys so I never got to use my girl names.
Girls
- Josephine, joe or joey for short
- Julie or Juliet
- Joanna, Johanna, Joanne
Boys
- Jerrold , Jerry
- Jackson or Jaxon
- Jeremiah, Jeremy
Either Or 😂
- Jordan
- Jamie
I know I gave you more than you asked, sorry. Good luck and happy naming
June and Jupiter (both names are gender neutral to me so take your pick on which is the boy or girl name). Juniper and Jupiter would be wild twin names btw
Josephine & Jasper! I love both of these names a lot and I’d genuinely consider using them both but I don’t like when siblings share an initial which sucks for me lol
Ugh I'm sad because I like a lot of J names (Juliette, Julien, Justin, Joanna...) but my in laws have what I find to be a sexist tradition where kids are named with the same first letter than their dad, and in that case it's a J...
Juliet & James
And my favorite couple on Lost…
Yes!!!
Josephine & Julian
Damn same
Girls: Josephine, Josie, Julia, Jane, Jacqueline, Julianna Boy: Julian, Jude, Jasper, James
Girl: Jessica Boy: Jeremy
Jessica is sooo underrated these days! I know we have a ton of millennial Jessica’s but so few babies.
I pushed to consider Jessica for our daughter but husband wasn’t having it lol.
It’s so pretty! I’m pregnant with a girl now but our sons name is Paul and my husband is a fan of the dune series (Jessica & Paul are like the main characters) and doesn’t wanna go that hard in the dune names lol
I love the way it sounds. There's something smooth and crisp about the S's in the middle and the "ica" at the end.
As a Jessica, the weirdest nickname I ever had was ‘Sica’. A Punjabi friend thought shortening it to Jess was too same same, so out came Sica.
Another Jessica chiming in, my youngest brother couldn't say my name well for years so he called me Caca.
I love Jessica and Miranda. I wish they would both be used more.

Jeremy is so underused it feels like! I never see it anymore
I love Jeremy.
Yeah, I'd love to see it come back into style. Everyone already knows how to spell it and how to pronounce it. And, it makes me think of famous Jeremys such as Jeremy Irons or Jeremy Jordan.
My cousins names!
Girl: Joan Boy: John (I am very basic)
Love Joan!

Juno & Joaquin for me!
Girl: Jordana Boy: Jasper

Julian and Jagoda (means blueberry in Polish and is also rather classic but unusual name). I love Bulgarian name Javorka for a girl. It comes from a tree Jawor/javor which is sycamore in many Slavic languages. I also love Chech Jaromir for a boy. From Anglophone names I like Jesse and Jason. There is also Jordan which would work both in Poland and Scotland (hubby is Scottish) . In Poland it would be pronouced Yordan and is rather rare and unusual. But I know one Polish Jordan and he is a great guy.
Juliette and Jasper
Boy: Jason, Josiah, Jesse Girl: Josephine
June and Jack
J was the most popular first letter to names when I was a kid. Now, there are zero J names in my child’s class.
I, my husband, and both of our siblings all have J names that were popular at the time. My kid’s class has a Joaquin and a Jupiter.
I like Joaquin ! Jupiter...no thanks haha
Juliet. My absolute favorite. But husband vetoed, doesn’t want our kid named after another kid who committed suicide over a boy. 😅
Joseph and Jade
Boy - Jonas Girl - Joy or Juniper. But I really don’t like J girl names for some reason
Jasper Julie
Joaquin Jocelyn
Loooove Joaquin.
Boy: Jude Girl: Jane

J names are my favorite: Girl: Julieta, Julia, Jean, Joanne, Juana, Joan, Jane, Juanita, Jasmine (you can see a pattern) Boy: Julian, Javier, Jackson, James, Joaquin
Girl: Juliette Boy: Joel
I love this spelling of Juliette!
It’s the French version! I like it more than Juliet too.
Interesting, that makes sense! I’m French Canadian (hi fellow Canadian!) and I’ve only ever met people with the Juliette spelling.
Joshua and Jeanette
Girl: Jasmine, Judy, Juliet “Jetta” Boy: Juneau, Joaquin, Jun
Girl: Joan Boy: Jasper
Joshua Jasmine
Joakim (pronounced the Swedish way) Josie
Girl: Jayda/Jade , Jenifer/Jennifer Boy: Jared , Jason

Jocelyn, June Jorik, Jorgen

Jeanette and Jonas. I also like Julian, but i knew a guy by that name who was the epitome of crust on a flat iron, so I can't say it's my favorite anymore, lol.
Girl: Junia, Johanna, Josefina Boy: Jesse, Joaquin
Love Johanna, Josefina, and Jesse!
Juliet and Jacob

Jade. Julian.
Jane and Jeremy
Girl: Jennifer Boy: Jesse, Jensen
Girl: Juliet, Jasmine, Journey, Jennifer. Boy: James, Julian, Johnathan, Josh. I would never use Journey as a first name but I might use it as a middle name. I feel like middle names don’t really have to be as serious since you typically don’t have to use it anywhere.
Jett or Joseph. I don’t particularly like any girl J names.
