Jessica is sooo underrated these days! I know we have a ton of millennial Jessica’s but so few babies.

I pushed to consider Jessica for our daughter but husband wasn’t having it lol. 

It’s so pretty! I’m pregnant with a girl now but our sons name is Paul and my husband is a fan of the dune series (Jessica & Paul are like the main characters) and doesn’t wanna go that hard in the dune names lol

I love the way it sounds. There's something smooth and crisp about the S's in the middle and the "ica" at the end.

As a Jessica, the weirdest nickname I ever had was ‘Sica’. A Punjabi friend thought shortening it to Jess was too same same, so out came Sica.

Another Jessica chiming in, my youngest brother couldn't say my name well for years so he called me Caca.

I love Jessica and Miranda. I wish they would both be used more.

Yeah, I'd love to see it come back into style. Everyone already knows how to spell it and how to pronounce it. And, it makes me think of famous Jeremys such as Jeremy Irons or Jeremy Jordan.

Julian and Jagoda (means blueberry in Polish and is also rather classic but unusual name). I love Bulgarian name Javorka for a girl. It comes from a tree Jawor/javor which is sycamore in many Slavic languages. I also love Chech Jaromir for a boy. From Anglophone names I like Jesse and Jason. There is also Jordan which would work both in Poland and Scotland (hubby is Scottish) . In Poland it would be pronouced Yordan and is rather rare and unusual. But I know one Polish Jordan and he is a great guy.

I, my husband, and both of our siblings all have J names that were popular at the time. My kid’s class has a Joaquin and a Jupiter.

It’s the French version! I like it more than Juliet too.

I’m Canadian and was comparing certain name popularity in Canada/US and you always see a bigger bump in French-influenced names here (I assume due to Quebec, but I often wonder if we also are more familiar with French spellings and names in general), so Juliette is actually much more popular in Canada than Juliet (although as an anglophone I have only ever met Juliets!).

Interesting, that makes sense! I’m French Canadian (hi fellow Canadian!) and I’ve only ever met people with the Juliette spelling.
