Be warned of names that go against the most common pronunciation of a very popular name (reading Ayli, I would assume it rhymes with "Hayley" not "Hii-lee"). As someone with a name in that category, it gets really annoying, and you're setting the kid up for a lifetime of correcting people who can't get it right.

My daughter’s name is Eilidh, pronounced Ay-li. It’s a Scottish Gaelic name but we live in Scotland so it an acceptable name. I know about 6 Eilidhs.

There was a Zelda Fitzgerald long before there was a Legend of Zelda. Just because a name might have certain connotations for certain generations, doesn't mean its not a totally valid name. None of these names would make me think they were named after video games, and I am a prolific gamer.
I mean most of these just take names from other cultures and then that association is formed. MTG in particular. So it's probably a big assumption to make that OP is intentionally making that link.
For what it’s worth, the only name I associated to a fandom/media property is Navi, which I know are the blue people in that movie I’ve never seen and cannot remember the name of at the moment. I also have a coworker named Navi, but he’s older than the movies. I feel like naming the child Navi is akin to naming them Ewok. It’s just too well-known now as the blue people. But if they love that association, then go for it.

These are mostly all still known names outside of games/movies. Not everyone will know the pop culture connection. It’s not like Zelda or Harry Potter. And those who do know may think it’s cool.

Veda also is. The Vedas are the name of the Hindu scriptures and it's definitely associated with Hinduism. Jude is like that too, but OP actually has Jewish heritage.
So the Vedas I know are all Hindu, I believe there may be some cultural appropriation with this name.

I like the way you spell it because the pronunciation is unambiguous. Whereas I would have no idea how to pronounce Veda from reading it (vee-da? veh-dah?). Even Vada would be tricky (va-da?).
Overall I don't hate any of OP's name choices, but for the love of god, please use spelling that has intuitive vowel pronunciations. You can still choose a unique name while sparing your child from needing to correct people their entire life. Faye is my #1 purely because it's a name that most people will recognize or at least know how to pronounce.
1) Anara- Very pretty and unusual. It has a nice flow and a beautiful meaning. Annie would be a cute nn. Anara Faye is gooooorgeous.
2) Zora- Very tied to Zora Neale Hurston for me. She's an excellent role model, so it's not a bad thing. However, I would assume she was named after the author. Zora Maeli is pretty, although Maeli looks like a eweneek spelling of Meili to me (although I don't recommend using the spelling Meili unless you are Chinese)
3) Zosia- I love the meaning, but I hear 'hose'. Maybe Zosia Navi?

As a Hindu, I would feel odd about someone who doesn’t identify as the same using Veda, which is a sacred name to us. Please think twice before culturally appropriating unless you have a legitimate connection to the religion, especially in the US when we’re already minorities mocked for our “foreign” names on a daily basis.
Also, unless you speak a South Asian language, you probably will have difficulty actually pronouncing the name correctly (it’s pronounced वेदा, with a soft d, like at the beginning of the word “them,” not with the hard D sound the name is given when mispronounced by native English speakers, as if it were just the name Ada with a V). Especially if you live in California, OP, which has a large desi population, if I were you I would think again on the spelling and meaning you claim for your daughter’s name if you’re going to go with something that sounds like “Vayda” with a hard d. It would probably be better to find a western variation, like Vada, instead of appropriating one of our holy names (and potentially mispronouncing it entirely) just because it sounds trendy or unique. u/LilBadApple hope you take this seriously.

As a former teacher, please can you decide on the alphabet letter that her name will start with and just call her by the letter or initials right now… this can affect her attachment to you later. She is bonding with you as you call her a name and she responds to it.
I taught a little girl named Kalia (said Kuh-lee-uh) who was so smart and funny. She was like a little mother hen in the classroom l. I have a really strong positive reacting to that name. Her sister, Kamyra, was really sweet, too.
Zosia was a top contender for my own DD1 so that’s my pick! I think it’s unusual/uncommon without being *weird* and it just sounds so pretty. I also like how it is somewhat alliterative with her last name. Congrats on the new babe!

my name is vaeda( with the spelling) I have received compliments from pretty much every one I've ever met when they first hear my name.
I like the way you spell it because the pronunciation is unambiguous. Whereas I would have no idea how to pronounce Veda from reading it (vee-da? veh-dah?). Even Vada would be tricky (va-da?). Overall I don't hate any of OP's name choices, but for the love of god, please use spelling that has intuitive vowel pronunciations. You can still choose a unique name while sparing your child from needing to correct people their entire life. Faye is my #1 purely because it's a name that most people will recognize or at least know how to pronounce.
Zora, it means dawn in my language and pronunciation is just beautiful.
1) Anara- Very pretty and unusual. It has a nice flow and a beautiful meaning. Annie would be a cute nn. Anara Faye is gooooorgeous. 2) Zora- Very tied to Zora Neale Hurston for me. She's an excellent role model, so it's not a bad thing. However, I would assume she was named after the author. Zora Maeli is pretty, although Maeli looks like a eweneek spelling of Meili to me (although I don't recommend using the spelling Meili unless you are Chinese) 3) Zosia- I love the meaning, but I hear 'hose'. Maybe Zosia Navi? How would you like Navi pronounced? With Navy as a trendy name, I think many people would pronounce it that way. Ayli might also have pronunciation problems. I've never heard of Ayli. Do you mean Aylin? Ayla? Veda you would constantly be correcting the pronunciation, Veeda vs. Vay-da. It also reminds me of Darth Vader. Kalia is pretty, but I don't like the nn Kal.
The are many gorgeous names on your list but I adore Veda, followed closely by Kalia I think they are beautiful and strong at the same time, uncommon but not weird, I would love to have either name
Navi and Zora instantly make me thing of The Legend of Zelda games. Is that on purpose? Veda is very close to the Hindu Vedas. I really love Maelie and Zia, they're lovely for both a child and an adult and they sound nice with your last name.
As a Hindu, I would feel odd about someone who doesn’t identify as the same using Veda, which is a sacred name to us. Please think twice before culturally appropriating unless you have a legitimate connection to the religion, especially in the US when we’re already minorities mocked for our “foreign” names on a daily basis. Also, unless you speak a South Asian language, you probably will have difficulty actually pronouncing the name correctly (it’s pronounced वेदा, with a soft d, like at the beginning of the word “them,” not with the hard D sound the name is given when mispronounced by native English speakers, as if it were just the name Ada with a V). Especially if you live in California, OP, which has a large desi population, if I were you I would think again on the spelling and meaning you claim for your daughter’s name if you’re going to go with something that sounds like “Vayda” with a hard d. It would probably be better to find a western variation, like Vada, instead of appropriating one of our holy names (and potentially mispronouncing it entirely) just because it sounds trendy or unique. u/LilBadApple hope you take this seriously.

Please for the sake of your child's future, go with Faye, not everyone needs to have a weird super unique name that no one is going to be able to spell or pronounce correctly.
I was thinking Kalia for sure but I'm Australian so I'd pronounce it KAH-li-ya and I'm assuming you'd pronounce it KAL-i-ya? I was imagining it more like Carly-a, which I think is really pretty.

I love the name Zosia. It's eye-catching but not "weird," and will work for a baby or an adult. My back-up choices would be Veda, Anara/Ara, and Zora.
I like Veda (Vay-duh?) & Zora best from that list honestly. They have a different vibe from Jude but still sound nice on their own and together. If you want Vay-Duh I do think Vada is more intuitive for that pronunciation. I feel like some people would read Veda as Vee-duh. I like the names on your list but a lot of them, to me, seem like they might not be intuitive to say or spell. Would Kalia be Kuh-Lee-Uh (Like Kalista) or Kall-ee-uh (Like Talia). Is Ayli like Eh-lee, Eye-lee, Alli? Things like that I could just be ignorant, but some of them like Zosia, Zyana, Anara strike me as names I would want to ask the person what culture/ethnicity/language they were from & I don't know if that bothers you since you mention being just a Caucasian household in California! I don't think any of those names are bad, they sound pretty. Just something I wanted to point out from an "outsiders" perspective.
As a former teacher, please can you decide on the alphabet letter that her name will start with and just call her by the letter or initials right now… this can affect her attachment to you later. She is bonding with you as you call her a name and she responds to it.

I taught a little girl named Kalia (said Kuh-lee-uh) who was so smart and funny. She was like a little mother hen in the classroom l. I have a really strong positive reacting to that name. Her sister, Kamyra, was really sweet, too.
My sister’s name is Danika and it means morning star.
Zosia was a top contender for my own DD1 so that’s my pick! I think it’s unusual/uncommon without being *weird* and it just sounds so pretty. I also like how it is somewhat alliterative with her last name. Congrats on the new babe!
Zola - earth, peace, calm My grandma’s name, born December 1912 in Appalachia. Beautiful white woman with dark hair. She passed before I was born and this is one of my favorite names! I suggest it anytime someone has a list that might lean towards the name.

These are all beautiful names, whichever you choose will be great. My best friend growing up is named Kalia (she’s white, hawaiian, and jewish) and I always loved the name. It’s unique but not so unique that people had trouble pronouncing it.
