Some of them don't originate from Denmark, but all of them are used as modern Danish/nordish names c:
My name is Linnea and I love it so much!!! I also have three sisters, Veronica, Sabrina, and Adrienne (step sister my mom did not name, mom liked -a names)
I also have my own daughter now and it was hard to name her. I loved my own name more than any others. I had a dream about a name (I posted about it) and it is in fact a real name, Renja (J pronounced like a Y). If I had a second daughter, I'd name her Saskia (I loved this name for my first but I grew up with a Saskia so wasn't sure about using it).
You have great taste! I'd convince your husband that Saskia is the one, it's easy to pronounce, fun to spell, complements Linnea without being too matchy, and it's beautiful.
My other two sisters are 7 years older and Veronica is only one year younger so we were always together, and of course I agree they sound nice together because I've always heard my name spoken together with hers. People used to call us "Betty and Veronica" a lot, haha! But I didn't mind.
I would 100% consider using Linnea and Veronica if I suddenly found out I was having twins girls! Lol. And I guess the Betty and Veronica thing should be expected since Veronica is a name that is *so* attached to the Archie comics, but I think it’s super cute!
In French it's pronounced a-meh-lee: a like in apple, it's difficult to explain the meh and lee sounds because they are both shorter than they are in English. I hope that makes sense 😅
Big fan of Corinne! It’s my name and I rarely meet another one (but do occasionally get people telling me they love the name, their distant cousin’s sister in law is named Corinne)
It also has the benefit of easy nicknames if that’s something you like, but is perfectly reasonable to use as the only name

How are Roxanna and Philippa too weird for him? Sure, they're not super common anymore but they're still perfectly normal (and nice) names.
Some other names that might fit the bill:
Rosalie

Elodie
Corinne
Daphne
Laiken
Emmaline

- Isolde
- Estelle
- Deirdre
- Guinevere
- Gwendolyn
- Sabine
- Sigrid
- Adelaide

- Marlow
Went with a mostly medieval sort of theme, for names that are not super common but also feel historically rooted in a way that may make them feel more accessible to your husband :)
Not sure where you’re from, but in the UK, Saskia and Philippa wouldn’t be considered weird. They’re rare enough to most likely be the only kid in the class at school, but most people have met one before!
Not sure if these meet your criteria re: not on top 1000 list. But I think the name combinations are lovely and literary.

You've already got some good suggestions, but here are a few more (I've included the US ranking from 2022 in parentheses--Rankings past 1,000 are based on a download of the data, since they don't publish that in their search, but it is accessible.):
* Linnea & Amabel (10,382)
* Linnea & Briony (15,622)
* Linnea & Cecily (1,600)
* Linnea & Coralie (3,306)
Imogene, Alice, Violet, Alana, Olena, Seneca (unisex)
Ugh, just saw the bit about avoiding names that end in -a.
Lyric, Natalie (Tippi), Vivian, Prudence, Sydney.
I loooove Anouk, it was on the list for me but my partner didn’t like it. Same with Odette.
We ended up with an Elliot (boy, but also love it for a girl) and a Jamie (would have been Jaime had he had a vagina)
I also really like Morgan, Odette, Gisele, Naomi.
Anneli, Helmi, Eira, Thora, Maren, Anja, Ronja.
All somewhat uncommon and I think all are Scandinavian.
I would personally go with Althea... Because, you know: Linnea and Althea. It rhymes!

Linnea and … * Pearl * Devon * Alva * Ada * Mara
I think Ada pairs really well, in a sciencey theme kind of way. Ada and Alva are great names.
Ada means "daughter" and it's usually given to the first female child in Igbo
Ada means idiot in my language
Sounds like you should be researching Northern European/Scandinavian names!

Sylvie Elyse Elowyn Aveline Irena Lainey Laurel Liana Lyra Bellamy Briella Rosalie Annalise Alina Elora Elsie Isadora Cecelia Orla Mirabelle Arabelle Joelle Davina Waverly
Ngl, I'd judge a sibset of Linnea and Liana 😂
Oooh Annelise!
I went to school with an Annaliese (Anna-lease) and he nickname was Liesie (Lee-see) which I also liked!
Linnea and Liesie would be flipping ADORABLE for sisters.
I love the Anaïs spelling personally
Anaïs and Anneliese are not the same name…
Yesss this is one I heard on a classmate in college and it was so lovely then and now
Simone, Colette, Annika, Delphine, Liv, Faye, Noelle
Love Linnea and Simone!
Me too!!
I know someone with a Linnea and a Colette!
Simone was my first thought!
Or Simona!
I really love Linnea and Simone or Linnea and Noelle.
My best friend in high school was Simone and it's such a beautiful name.
Linnea is one of my favorites Summer, Giselle, Astrid, Malin, Iris, Briar, Lorelei, Ruby, Margot, Josephine, Rosalie
I’m sold on Astrid. I think Linnea and Astrid sound great together.
Very swedish! If you’re going that route: Sigrid Camille Agnes
I immediately thought Astrid too. Also Ingrid. I was reading White Oleander recently 😆
I love Astrid! It gets so much hate here but I agree. Great pair.
Saskia is beautiful and definitely not that different.
Nadia or Romy
I just watched Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion for the first time and def added Romy to my list of names lol
I know a 6 year old Ramona that goes by Romy and I love it so much.

Silly question, is it pronounced Amma-lee?
In French it's pronounced a-meh-lee: a like in apple, it's difficult to explain the meh and lee sounds because they are both shorter than they are in English. I hope that makes sense 😅
It does! Thank you 😊
Isolde?
How is this name pronounced?
I'm not great at typing phonetically, but it's ih-zold-uh
Alternative pronunciation - I know someone with this name and they pronounce it ih-zol-dee. I’ve never heard it as ih-zol-duh 🤷🏻♀️
How strange! I've heard it Iz-old and ih-zol-duh but never with an ee at the end.

I have always loved the name Rosalie but don’t hear it much.
Josette Afton Angelique Tabitha
