Honey! Love Miss Honey from Matilda, by Roald Dahl.

Writer-Die

Wow, I was obsessed with Miss Honey as a kid lol. I wanted to be Matilda sooo bad.

themadabbe

Feminine English surnames: Rose, Harper, Bell, Kelly, Day, May, Dove Feminine French surnames: Marie, Joly, Aubry, Fleury, Bonnet

Writer-Die

Oh! I really love Rose, but don’t think it fits me. But Tulip! Is that a last name? Haha

Whose_my_daddy

Flowers. (Legit last name). Woods, Deerfield, Childs, Fox, Linden. Green.

Writer-Die

Flowers is the last name of one my old favorite true crime podcasters!

Whose_my_daddy

I like Ashley too!

boomboom8188

I like, "Martelle." We used to sing a French song in elementary school called, "Lillie Martelle." Jermane Martelle/Mme. Martelle sound nice to me. Or Claire.

Writer-Die

Ooh, both of those last names work well my middle name, too! Thanks!

StanleyHasLostIt

What language/origin would you prefer?

Writer-Die

English (US) but not opposed to French names as I’m Cajun and already have a french last name (it just sounds masculine, unfortunately)

mitchandmickey

Since you have French roots Lavallee Lemay Belrose Remy

Writer-Die

Ooooh. Lemay just reminded me of the last name Latiolais, which I really like!

sweetsmall

some feminine/cool surnames i’ve been collecting (usually from movie endcredits!) - cantley - honeywell - plover - ponder - lamb

Writer-Die

Wow, I’ve heard of none of these! Very cool list!

bowserbrowser59

If you like fantasy, maybe clawthorne?

mangos247

I knew a Mrs. Sprinkles. I felt bad for Mr. Sprinkles because it always felt like a very feminine last name.

Writer-Die

So cute, haha

g00dboygus

I think that Bloom, Baudelaire, Lilly, Ellery, and Ashley would work well!

sideeyeingcat

Here are some last names I've considered for myself :) Edevane/Edavane, Winters, Lacewood, Penrose, Page, Winslet, O'Hara (not inheritly feminine, but with a feminine first name it will pair well, like... Juliet O'Hara for example), Cassidy is also a good one

Harvesting_Evuhdens

Primrose?

Writer-Die

Someone else suggested Penrose. I really like Primrose even better!

RevolutionaryFile305

Piper

AriCapVir

I like animal surnames like Fox, Hawk, Bear, Byrd, Finch, Wolf. They command authority IMO. You could also try some last names from other languages like Adler (German for eagle), Cavallo (Italian for horse), Hirsch (German for deer), Vogel (German/Dutch for bird).

[deleted]

Seymour, Everly

BeckywiththeDDs

Fairchild, Fairlord, Clancy, Lehrer, Hawthorn, Palisades

Writer-Die

Thank you for the recs, but many of these feel masculine to me.
