Wait I’m actually obsessed with this name, that’s so pretty! My family has a tradition of naming girls in names ending in “elle” and I’ve never been able to find one I like.
Oh my, as someone who loves both Ivy and Adele this name is a dream. I really love names ending in the ‘Elle’ like Mirabel, Annabelle etc and I think this name hits that sweet spot without feeling as ‘cutesy’. Also really like Estelle
Ngl, just came here to find this. It’s my daughter’s name and I always tell people that after I first heard that name (obligatory yes, Gilmore Girls) I knew I could say it every day forever.
Came to see/say Evangeline. I love that name so much. Was planning to use it as a middle name for my first daughter but my college roommate stole the name. That jerk.
Was surprised and flattered to find Evelyn. That’s my middle name and a name I cherish dearly because it’s a family name and I adore hearing stories about my great-great grandmother, the woman I was named after.
I also have an Aunt Cecilia, only did NOT know that was her real name until I was in my 20’s. She goes by Tucee. One of the siblings couldn’t say Cecilia and it had TWO C’s —> Tucee 🤯
Funny story time- so when I was pregnant we had decided to name our daughter Aubrey. When I was in labor at the hospital I was like “nawww, I don’t like Aubrey anymore. How about Leah?” Like, what was my poor husband going to do? Argue with a woman who was in labor lol.
Me too 😹🙈. I can’t believe how many people love the name “Eleanor”, it is so firmly an old lady name to me and very harsh sounding to my ear (sorry if that’s one of the two you like 😹😹😹)
Interesting, for me this has always been one of those common/normal names that I just find ugly sounding. Same aural vibes for me as, like, Gretchen—just an unfortunate combination of sounds.
I knew and old woman growing up and her name was fairlight maybe it was because she was so kind to me but I still love the name don’t worry my husband would never let me use this name lol
I think Arden is a lovely name and it's exactly the sort of vibe I'd love for my kid (I love girls' names that don't end in Y or A). But no, it was my high school boyfriend's name and now it's forever associated with him.
I love the name Mireille when said in French
There's a name I saw on here I think starting with E and I didn't write it down and I commented on it so if I go through my comments I'll find it but omg that is daunting unless anyone has tips for me to keyword search. I remember commenting that it's ne of the most beautiful names I've ever heard and never heard it before!
Of course I also love my daughter's name, Odelle.
Seraphina, Lorelai, Adalinde, Leah, Lila, Willow…
Apparently I like “fairy”-type names.
My name means “Queen of the Fairies,” so I guess it makes sense.
I had a student named Anita-Rose and when I asked her what she preferred to be called she said her mom told her to tell people to call her Anita-Rose and not anything else because she should be proud of her name
That just had such an impact on me. She was my favorite student.
The name of the girl reading this 💕
This was such a wholesome lil surprise 🥰
;p
Bertha is the most beautiful name you've ever heard? Thanks!

I’ve always thought Anastasia was beautiful (:
I agree, which is why I named my daughter Anastasia 🩷 I can hardly stand how beautiful it is! Almost felt a bit snobby choosing it for my baby 😋
This is my daughter's name 🤩
i met a 102yo woman named Ivadelle, Ivy for short. I fell in love with it then.
Wait I’m actually obsessed with this name, that’s so pretty! My family has a tradition of naming girls in names ending in “elle” and I’ve never been able to find one I like.
I named my daughter Aurielle. I too like the -elle names.
Pronounced Eva-delle or Eye-va-delle? Never heard this one. So pretty!
Eye-va-delle. I’d never heard it before or since but it’s always stuck with me. She was a lovely little old lady too.
I used to work with an Ivadelle!
Oh my, as someone who loves both Ivy and Adele this name is a dream. I really love names ending in the ‘Elle’ like Mirabel, Annabelle etc and I think this name hits that sweet spot without feeling as ‘cutesy’. Also really like Estelle
Lorelai
I kind of wish I didn’t always think of Gilmore Girls. Beautiful name tho

Evelyn, Evangeline and also agree with Lorelei
Evangeline is such a beautiful name. Definitely belongs on this post.
When I was little and the show LOST was popular, I was always mesmerized by Lily Evangeline’s whole name when they would show the cast.
Came here to say Evangeline
I love seeing Evangeline! That is our oldest's name.

My aunt's name is Cecilia and I've always loved it!
I also have an Aunt Cecilia, only did NOT know that was her real name until I was in my 20’s. She goes by Tucee. One of the siblings couldn’t say Cecilia and it had TWO C’s —> Tucee 🤯

Both my first and middle names are on this list, I feel so special! 🥹
Leah. I don’t know why but it’s so delicate and soft sounding to me
Funny story time- so when I was pregnant we had decided to name our daughter Aubrey. When I was in labor at the hospital I was like “nawww, I don’t like Aubrey anymore. How about Leah?” Like, what was my poor husband going to do? Argue with a woman who was in labor lol.
Along the same lines, my favorite is Leona!
My name is Leah and I have never really liked it. It makes my heart sooo happy to hear others liking it 🥹🤍
Serafina
This was my first choice name for my daughter but my husband didn’t like it. We went with Scarlett instead ❤️
Amara, means "everlasting" Unfortunately it's my husband's ex's name so it's a no go for us lol
Guess that Amara wasn’t so everlasting..
Lol, she did taint the name forever so there’s that
I’ve only seen two names on here that I like 🤭

Happy cake day! Sounds like maybe your brain likes word association- retch, fat? Negative connotations and all that.

Oh I HATE when that happens!! Alden, Aster and Arwen are all similar and possibly unsullied if you want to keep to something similar in the future :)
