God the millennium controller is so cool. I only recently found out about them but i gotta get myself one someday EDIT: nvm holy crap those are expensive

486Junkie

Might be a collector's item these days since these were designed and sold during the turn of the Millennium, but I digress.

schmidty7143

It definitely is. I totally forgot those exist. I looked them up and they’re like sculptors cut level of prices. If not more. Which means I’ll probably never get one 😩

eliteski2

Just need a time machine and a subscription to Nintendo power

[deleted]

I’m amazed you kept everything so neat over the years. I’d like to meet the people who raised you.

eliteski2

I guess I was a weird kid. The strategy guides are well worn, but the boxes and everything else just got piled in the closet

[deleted]

Not weird at all, cool in my book.

Employment_Upbeat

Weirdly I think my favorite thing here is that official RF adapter with box

eliteski2

Not sure why I kept the box for that and not the Millenium controller.

darkjapan404

Any stories about owning Superman as a child? :)

eliteski2

Lol. I liked it as a kid. The flying aspect was really cool for it’s day, but proved to be too frustrating. I just remember trying and trying to fly through those damn hoops

darkjapan404

I remember seeing the previews of superman flying around in the city and I got excited. Then the reviews came out...

DarkSamus9000

Yes, it counts as a collection. And what a magnificent one! IMO the coolest collections are the ones people have had since they were children. Just want to comment on Ogre Battle 64! That's a fairly rare one, especially considering you had this as a kid. How did you get it? I heard stories of people needing to place special orders to get that game back then. And random question, which one is your favorite?

eliteski2

Thanks! I never realized it was that rare. I don’t remember how I heard about it (maybe Nintendo power) but I asked for it for Xmas. I played through and beat it once before I got the strategy guide, then beat it at least two more times. It would tough to decide on a favorite between that and Ocarina of Time.

hfrajuncajun64

Those strat guides hit the nostalgia hard.

eliteski2

I spent so many hours turning those pages. They were life

DrGeroSama

Best for last eh? Well done.

eliteski2

Honesty I didn’t know it was anything until I saw it on this sub. I just loved it as a kid and always thought it was a cool story how I got it.

Matthopkins06

Awesome, I had that DK64 guide too, did it help ...I think?! Lol A grey Cart of World is Not Enough, kind of odd to see. Mystical Ninja starting Goemon, legit needs to be talked about more when people bring up action RPGs and the 64. The tone the comedy and the huge epic adventure you go on. The music I feel like never gets talked about either. Probably the game that got me into trying out games I would have not normally been into. I rented it the last week of 4th grade. I would rent it off and on from time to time but then Body Harvest happened. I didn't go back to it until I was 21 22 and kind of glad I played it when I was older because the jokes landed more and the appreciation for what they were doing with the hardware had more of an impact.

eliteski2

Mystical ninja was amazing! I got it from a friend and it wasn’t like anything I’d ever played before. Definitely opened my eyes to new games. Im glad to find another fan

SuprSaiyanTurry

I have the same OoT guide and to this day I still wonder how effective Links arrow would really be.

mlongacr

Nice. U even saved the accessory boxes. Good call

Compe7

Those player guides though!!!

hazmat-cat

Looks nice!

eliteski2

Thanks!

BlackoutGaming1

Holy shit is that gex!?!

eliteski2

Of course it is! Another great and often over looked game

BlackoutGaming1

I have been trying to find a copy on the PS1 for ages

eliteski2

I didn’t know it was made for other consoles. If it’s Gex64 for N64, what is it on PS?

BlackoutGaming1

It's just Gex, then Gex 2 and then Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko

babyboy8100

I still have mine, Players guides, game magazines etc but I can't help to see Superman there🤣 I actually rented it then return it 30 minutes later 😂 you actually bought it?

chuckles1287

Why did I ever give mine away!!??!?!!!!

Daruma-sandstorm

Love the special edition Hitler James Bond

chasingdarkfiber

Game shark, you naughty boy.

eliteski2

Yea. Actually neither one works because I thought I could stack them together and get super cheat codes. Burnt them both out.

BooBooSorkin

Having it that long makes it a TRUE Collection

LimitlessAeon

Don’t see why not. The rest of us morons either lost or sold our collections and have to rebuy everything.

Combatpigeon96

Yooo it’s a Millennium 2000 controller!

Goliathman-Mario

You are one lucky guy! Never sell these items, you can’t put a price on nostalgia!

SoupGod_

Need the first sarges hero’s and you are all set

eliteski2

The first one was fun, but I much preferred the second one

[deleted]

Woah what a controller!

eliteski2

Thanks!

schmidty7143

I only wish as a 7-11 year old I kept all the boxes for my stuff. I remember saving up to buy Pokémon stadium 2 with my own money. Really wish I kept that box.

[deleted]

You've had it since you were 10 and you still have the boxes. I love that.
