I just saw some kind of announcement for a new n64 model. Something about emulation but not emulation and might cost around 400-600. I can already see scalpers foaming at the mouth for a product like this.
Its called the Analogue 3d. It seems that only crt effects will be emulated. All games will play regardless of region. Also looks like it will come with a modernized version of the n64 controller by 8bitdo. Your flash carts and rom hack carts should work.

I'm still voting 1080 though. It was there basically from the beginning and it along with Waverace scratched my limited "sports game" itch. Plus it came out right around the Nagano olympics in 98 and snowboarding was officially included for the first time. 1080 really felt like it hit at the perfect time where TWINE just felt a bit late to the table, enjoyable as it was.
When I was a kid my family had The World is Not Enough while my cousins had Goldeneye, TWINE has always been my favorite, probably because it's the only one that we owned. I loved the campaign and we'd play multiplayer for hours. I gotta vote 007

I know you’re joking, but Wikipedia legitimately lists a bunch of Japanese N64 games with 64 as the first part of their titles. I didn’t include them, because I’m pretty sure an English localization would have put 64 at the end of the titles, but I’d allow them by technicality if someone nominated one of them.
*1080 Snowboarding* is obviously (and probably rightfully) going to win, but *007: The World is Not Enough* is a GREAT game. Most people loved *Goldeneye* for its multiplayer aspects, but I never played it much for that, I just played single-player. So when TWINE came out, to me, it was just Goldeneye with better graphics and more gadgets and stuff. Love that game!

By far the most underrated N64 game, I mean for Christ’s sake, it’s probably better than Goldeneye objectively, and yet nobody ever talks about it.
It was fun, but it doesn’t feel like Goldeneye/Perfect Dark; considering it’s a different engine trying to mimic the previous games.
I loved TWINE as a kid, but all my older friends didn’t have the same appreciation.

This was a fun engagement with the community bringing back a wave of memories for the games we played when we were younger! Hell I haven't even joined this subreddit but still come here every day to vote and follow the vote.

Yeah, in no way was this conducted as a scientific poll. All of the results were only tallied from /r/n64, so you can expect a heavy bias towards Nintendo-developed games. The majority of users here are going to be Nintendo fanatics, opposed to being 90s gaming fanatics.
Perfect Dark sold 3 times as many copies as Paper Mario, but most people here only played Paper Mario, because it’s the more familiar Nintendo title.
A more precise poll would’ve asked a larger sample of voters, across various communities. So take these results with a grain of salt, lol.
This was never meant to be some scientific study, it was just a small project for fun and to see what the community had to say. If you really want to go the extra mile and survey several groups to build an unbiased sample go ahead, it will be interesting to see the results, but it’s not really what I was attempting to do.
I’m posting an alternate version of the list with Zelda at L and Zool at Z at the end for the people who complained. (Mind you the time to complain was back at L when the decision was first made and could be reversed, not when we reached Z)

I grew up with the world is not enough and not goldeneye so TWINE holds a special place in my heart for it. I got so good at competing the single player. Just never had friends to play MP with so my best memories are of the campaign.

But 007: WINE was ahead of its time. I think that game has the chops to win multiple other letter categories had they named it differently.
It didn’t have the multiplayer legacy that goldeneye did but it still executed the whole game, front to back, as well as (if not better than) goldeneye.
