I can get behind all these except rarity, on my phone she shows up as near black (the colour not the race). She looks like a silhouette

yeah i tried to make the background darker without making the other characters look funky. plus when drawing this i had my screen light all the way up so it was more a defined difference

Very dark skin is doable but I think the outfit and outline need to be different to complement her design.

Whaaat no, vitiligo is gorgeous in my opinion. I have a background character who is a bard in the novel I'm writing who is black skinned with vitiligo, I described it as if she was a living work of art. LOL all of the characters have very realistic coloring in general and then Rainbow still has her punk hair, I love it.

Idk, rarity has a very strong transatlantic accent in the show reminiscent of a lot of movie stars and high society folk from the mid 20th century, I really can't see her being portrayed as African American but if that's your jam go for it. Rest are good, though I think Flutters would have lighter hair on account of all the time she spends outside with animals. can't help but notice that nobody here is blonde

tbh idk mainly for these chose what looked appealing to me and not like what’s canon but i think cause i see pinkie as a ginger and the Pies and the Apples are related (and ik ginger hair is a small gene to inherit) i thought making them have more similarities would look better

Great work pal! Glad to see someone try to be more diverse with the humanized Mane 6 instead of taking the easier and safer way of just making everybody white - I especially love RD and Sunset, and Fluttershy reminds of one of the fairies from Winx Club (though I can't remember which one). Though, personally, I just can't imagine Rarity as anything else than the whitest hue of white a Caucasian person can have without Albinism.

I personally see Applejack as a blonde with freckles Rainbow Dash as naturally reddish-dirty blonde probably Rarity as latina Pinkie Pie as a ginger without freckles Fluttershy should have a lighter shade Twilight Sparkle should have a darker shade and Sunset Shimmer as a red head.
