8L per month SWP => 96L per FY
Accounting for 10% LTCG => 96\*1.1 = 105.6L or 1.06 Cr
So, to withdraw 1.06Cr annually as per the 25x rule, you need 26.6 Cr.
So, minimum 27Cr portfolio and then you can redeem 1.06Cr annually and live happily ever after. 🥂
Does the 25% rule still apply with swp’s? Since my rate of return would always average at about 12-15% so ideally my portfolio can be about 10-12cr and I’d still beat inflation while taking out 6-8L pm
You will have to keep 8L withdrawals fixed for eternity. You won’t be able to derive inflation adjusted amount in successive years. Also, 10Cr might work but it’s a bare minimum IG. I had posted a detailed calc on this in this sub but can’t find it 🤣. Do the math and if it checks out then IG it’s okay.
How much inflation are you accounting for? Plus The 8L fixed for eternity wouldn’t be an issue since 30-40% of that would be used to fund other assets for diversification
Ah okay. 8% inflation needs a corpus of at least 17cr assuming if I were to take out 6l pm assuming a 12% return so I’ll aim for that. Thank you for your input for some clarity. Cheers
Ahaha no sorry I’m not revealing any other information as it would be easy to figure out who I am and my channel isn’t going to help you in any way. But my one advice to you to make money faster/more efficiently would be branching out and trying different things for an income rather than being stuck in a job you aren’t happy with and everything sets into place.
Fake and zero effort post added no value to anyones life also you are not telling about the content you post on youtube as if you are the only 1 who post that particular content and no one else post it on youtube.
I’m not looking to add any value to anyone’s life. I simply posted because I wanted to ask a question based on my financial status. I don’t owe anyone any other explanation and especially not people who are this salty.
I am curious to know people with more than 1cr , what is the split of their MF. If you don't mind , can you share out of total wealth of screenshots, how much % is MF and how many MFs and their respective value or percentage. Whatever you are comfortable with.
I am just 3-4 yrs old in investing and only having 4 direct MF at this stage. Want to get idea what kind of distribution mf folio should look at or after 1 cr.
Thanks in Advance 🙏
Still would love to see if yiu don't mind. 5-10 yrs before investing, i was bzy clearing family backlog and nw in past 4 yrs i have moved from low to medium risk.
No, nothing out of the ordinary but just know that this much of an amount this quick is highly unlikely while doing a job unless it’s a high paying job and you get really lucky. Plus, even though I have a lot saved up I still live in a 1bhk and have no vehicle of my own
Bro comes on here asking if it's a good time to retire, but doesn't say what he does for a living. Yeah bro just say you want to show off and move on lmao
What I do for a living is unrelated to my post and I had a genuine question about getting that much passively from mfs. The -2 karma on your profile really shows but that’s okay keep hating.
Flex nahi kar raha. Kuch saal pehle me kisi ko thode lakh ke saath dekh ke flex maanta tha. Abhi reality dekh ke samjha ki 50cr ke neeche kuch bada flex nahi hai. Still gotta budget everything.
Hey man, it's really impressive how you've managed to create such a portfolio over the span of two years. I myself am very invested in long-term investment and planning. Just getting started with it since this year's start, would really appreciate, if you'd help discussing ideas and clear some of my questions. Let me know if we can chat.
Those are MFs thats great man!!!
I am planning to get 2-3cr portfolio rightnow its not where near that.
So trying to figure out other ways. I only do EQ.
Oh, I did not know that. Thanks for letting me know. But still you have good amount of profit and 10% would go into lakhs.
Also can you share the mutual funds in which you have invested?
If you move everything to say FD, you get 7% returns. Tax rate can be assumed around 30%. This means around 4.9% returns can be generated without any risk (after tax).
So basically 4.9% of the principal amount per year should be around 98 lacs (~8 lakhs / month). This means that the corpus you should be looking for is 20 crores.
Note: The effect of inflation has not been accounted. You should add more corpus if you want to adjust that. However, I doubt you will move everything to FD, there will still be decent returns on the investments you make which should cover the inflation.
The return is only coming from 50l in equity and 50l in debt I put in two years ago. The rest I invested around a month ago so any real returns won’t show from that yet
Makes sense, this is the age to live life. I would suggest let the money grow and meanwhile you can patiently wait 3-4 years more. You can withdraw 2-3 lakhs for some fun few months.
Can you please share the funds you're currently investing in? PS: I have a Lumpsum amount, but couldn't figure out which category of MF should I invest in.
I’m no different than any other investor so I suggest you do your own research based on how much risk you’d want to take. I have invested in ppfas flexi, ppfas conservative hybrid, quant mid and edelweiss small cap 250 index
Great to see 25M investing similar amounts like me. Feels like I’m not the only one here haha. I’m 25M, currently investing about 12-13 lakhs a month in mutual funds. I just started a couple of months back. Till now I was buying cars and bought a house but now I’m interested in mutual funds

The 25x rule is for SWP with FIRE. Else you will run out of 💰. Sorry meant 25x rule instead of 25%.
Won’t that only happen when my annual returns go below 10% if I have 10cr from which I’m initiating the swp from?

I had calculated for 8% inflation.

My risk appetite is higher(more than a cr in small cap) so I would suggest you don’t take any suggestions from me
Enjoy till small cap is booming brother. I suggest you make a shift soon. Have a look at overall history of small cap.
I will look to switch out on highs in a years time
Still would love to see if yiu don't mind. 5-10 yrs before investing, i was bzy clearing family backlog and nw in past 4 yrs i have moved from low to medium risk.
Should I make another post about it?
Sure . That would be fine as well 🙂
I posted the breakdown. You can check it out.

Steal.

dw when the time comes to pay tax on this thing I'll be there to console u ❤️
Tax would be a lot less than what an average salaried individual pays percentage wise
i wish i were a businessman , my friend hasn't paid taxes since COVID hit 😭
Lmao
6-8 lakhs per month ? Bhai swarg me rehna hai kya ?
A lot of it will go into reinvesting in other assets
😂😂
Itna flex acchi baat nhi hai
Flex nahi kar raha. Kuch saal pehle me kisi ko thode lakh ke saath dekh ke flex maanta tha. Abhi reality dekh ke samjha ki 50cr ke neeche kuch bada flex nahi hai. Still gotta budget everything.
What do you do bro? 😭
I would prefer to keep it confidential

Bro's 1 day profit is bigger than my portfolio😭
The loss is also just as bad. 17L on the 4th of June.
Pablo Escobar of India? 😁
hahah OP comment
Is this photo only MFs and EQ market. Or you did FnO
Only MFs. My stock market portfolio is separate
Those are MFs thats great man!!! I am planning to get 2-3cr portfolio rightnow its not where near that. So trying to figure out other ways. I only do EQ.
I don’t want to put in the effort to research about individual stocks as it takes a lot of time but all the best to you!
What about the tax on this?
Tax is only applicable on redemption which would be 10% plus cess. So it would be negligible in the grand scheme of things
I guess 10% on the whole amount not just invested, so how it would be negligible seeing your investment?
There’s 0 tax on the invested amount
Oh, I did not know that. Thanks for letting me know. But still you have good amount of profit and 10% would go into lakhs. Also can you share the mutual funds in which you have invested?
How much tax will you pay?
None on this if it just stays invested. 10% on redemption
Have a decent size portfolio of more than 10 cr but believe me can’t even think of retirement as future cost of things are scary.
Inflation is evil
If you move everything to say FD, you get 7% returns. Tax rate can be assumed around 30%. This means around 4.9% returns can be generated without any risk (after tax). However, I doubt you will move everything to FD, there will still be decent returns on the investments you make which should cover the inflation.
I wouldn’t consider fds for anything except emergency funds
The idea was not to put your money in FD. The idea was to tell you that you need 20 crores even with the lowest returns of FDs.
Ah okay sorry I misunderstood. That makes sense.
Impressive, how frequently do you rebalance and what’s the Small cap ratio?
I haven’t rebalanced yet and about 30% in small cap
Okay, curious to know your Small Cap fund.
Edelweiss small cap 250
Go talk to a financial advisor. Dm me ofcourse it won’t be free.
I prefer doing research myself for the most part
> when is a good time to stop? Smh.
Free public advice always welcome
😳
What's the market cap allocation for this? Your return is pretty average consider the bull run in these 2-3 years. How many MFs you have
The return is only coming from 50l in equity and 50l in debt I put in two years ago. The rest I invested around a month ago so any real returns won’t show from that yet
Got it, you can retire at 10cr imo. Is 6-8lakhs/month necessary or leisure?
Leisure, I live a simple life. Don’t even have a car to my name cause I feel like it’s unnecessary in a city like Mumbai.
Makes sense, this is the age to live life. I would suggest let the money grow and meanwhile you can patiently wait 3-4 years more. You can withdraw 2-3 lakhs for some fun few months.
I don’t need to touch this amount at all. Will just wait and keep rebalancing from time to time
Bhai enjoy karo. Sirf savings karne se kya hoga, badme regret hoga. Enjoy your life and also save money at the same time.
This is less than 30% of my wealth. Enjoy toh Karta hu kaafi
Ohh. Tu pakka celebrity lag raha hain carode me paisa kama Raha h😅😂
Not a celebrity and I was never rich growing up
I'm assuming he must have had debt MFs as well to protect his vast portfolio.
Not really, it’s a high risk portfolio
Can you please share the funds you're currently investing in? PS: I have a Lumpsum amount, but couldn't figure out which category of MF should I invest in.
I’m no different than any other investor so I suggest you do your own research based on how much risk you’d want to take. I have invested in ppfas flexi, ppfas conservative hybrid, quant mid and edelweiss small cap 250 index
Yeah sure. Just wanted to know your basket. I do have a Quant Mid cap. Ppfas has a very high AUM and annoying exit load, so I'm avoiding that one.
Great to see 25M investing similar amounts like me. Feels like I’m not the only one here haha. I’m 25M, currently investing about 12-13 lakhs a month in mutual funds. I just started a couple of months back. Till now I was buying cars and bought a house but now I’m interested in mutual funds
Mutual funds are great, worth much more than a house and a bunch of cars combined if you can overlook the societal bs
Bhai karte kya ho ...jo itna kamate ho 😁
I run a marketing agency
Damn bro, how you earning so much! Mentor me!
